My experience from sale to implementation has been very good. The support team is as good as many have eluded to and both the sales and customer success teams have been very responsive and helpful. The product is heavily used in our Org and plays a critical role in communication to clients. Being able to use the product to quickly get out communication internally and externally has been a huge benefit for us. I am definitely an advocate of AlertMedia!

Pros

• Intuitive UI • Easy to implement • Great customer service! • Fast sending of notifications • Great feature set • Multi-purpose use cases

Cons

Aside from a few minor bugs and a few enhancement requests, I haven't had any significant negative experiences.

The customer service is 11/10. No other vendor I have worked with will answer your call 24/7, pull in whomever is needed to troubleshoot with you. It's user friendly, team is exceptional, our experience has been amazing!

Pros

I like the accuracy and vetted alerts most. Trusting the information and easy dissemination to those who need to know is crucial.

Cons

The platform is an employee product and as a healthcare customer there are manual processes to adapt for our use.

So far, it's average. I have used other companies and found a much more detailed scope when it comes to information.

Pros

The ability to send messages and notify others of situations.

Cons

Lack of information/intelligence. I requested information on a specific town I was traveling to in Mexico and received the whole country's information. I found that already so that didn't help me.

Overall very helpful from a security perspective, especially in regards to violent crime and other life safety threats

Pros

Good reporting and analyst access 24/7 when we need additional details

Cons

This isn't a ding against AlertMedia as much as it is the NWS, but there are far too many "severe" weather alerts that have no impact on most businesses (i.e. heavy rainfall, gale warnings, etc).

Extremely smooth and professional. Great team, great follow-up, great project and planning steps for the rollout. Couldn't be happier. My stakeholders are thrilled.

Pros

The platform is simple and easy and includes a consolidated approach that our current solution did not have for Crisis Communication and Travel Risk Management. User and travel integrations replaced manual processes.

Cons

AlertMedia did a great job bringing an affordable solution to the table. Because of that I had to ask for SSO to be added. It's great that SSO cannot be selected or itemized/offered, but I just expected that to be there; didn't know to ask for it.

I would really like the geofencing tools to be alittle easier to use so that I do not need to lean on the customer service team as much.

Excellent. I've been an AlertMedia customer for five years and it's, by far, the best vendor experience I've ever had.

Pros

The commitment to customer service make a great product even more exceptional. The tool is easy to use, reliable, and the company is always evolving the product to address the needs of customers.

Cons

It's ease of use means AlertMedia isn't necessarily as customizable as some competitors. As a result, companies with unique needs or special circumstances may have to find workarounds.

Pros

It's extremely simple, easy to use, and intuitive. It's also been incredibly impressive to see Alert Media's growth year over year. Their incorporation of AI capabilities is also cutting edge. The AI translator capability will be a tremendous value add to large global companies who will now be able to improve employee safety in a global and inclusive manner.

Cons

One area that Alert Media has made tremendous progress on, but still has some opportunity for improvement, would be to continue expanding into the global market place and aim to deliver their services in more countries.

AM gave me several months free to try them out, then gave me a really good deal for the rest of the year. They've been patient with our user increases, our technical questions, and our implementation process. Everyone there has been supremely helpful and if they don't know an answer they get someone online to help. The customer service side of it has been phenomenal.

Pros

I've been using mass notification systems my entire career, and what I like most about Alert media is the ease of use, the simple interface, the customization, and the multiple paths to communicate. The Threat Map being a free service was a selling point to me, because other companies required us to pay a significant amount of money extra for that feature. My favorite feature though is the fact that I can see in real time what devices were unable to receive my messages. This lets me know the fidelity of my data, if someone may be in a place where their phone isn't working, or if I have to use alternate methods to contact that individual. That feature, the map, and the price were what made me choose AM.

Cons

I would say that API is a bit cumbersome at times, but other than that I have no complaints.

Reason for choosing AlertMedia

Cost to features ratio was great... significantly more bang for your buck. The free threat map and the feature that allows us to track issues with outgoing messages.

Overall, we are very pleased with the software and, I feel, have not used it to its full capabilities. We have a fantastic customer support team that has made sure to let us know about upcoming improvements, local and national events that may affect our team members, and kept our information up to date by assisting with our weekly data upload.

Pros

Relatively easy to use once the initial setup is complete. Customer support is amazing! Variations on sending alerts to the organization for all users are great due to some of our population not having the ability to receive a text message.

Cons

Could be a personal issue, but I'm unable after multiple attempts to successfully upload our team member file without overwriting our current group structure through the system.

Pros

We implemented Alert Media to help with emergency communications to our employees. Who knew it would become a daily screening tool during a pandemic? When COVID-19 struck, Alert Media quickly sent out information to assist administrators in setting up daily screening questions to track COVID-19. We are now using the product to track vaccinations as well. Customer service is excellent too! They have frequent webinars on the product and new features they are offering.

Cons

This is more of a suggestion for enhancement versus a con. It would be great to have the ability to design a more detailed, expanded survey. Also would be nice if local emergency information was not an additional fee.

There are a lot of features we don't use, especially with the weather alerts. It's a little confusing sometimes with so many features. We mainly use it just as a communication source, not necessarily for the weather alerts.

Pros

We've been using AlertMedia for almost a year now. We implemented it right as COVID was ramping up and it was a great way to get ahold of staff members quickly - which was very important when we were first implementing COVID policies and procedures. It was very easy to get started and it's very easy to use. Also, our account rep is great! She gets back to us very quickly and answers all my questions.

Cons

I wish there were more design options in the email feature in particular, like ability move text and photos around, etc. I know it's not a design product, but would be a nice feature. I'm used to more design features when sending an email. Also, don't like the feature that if a contact is deleted (and then subsequently it's archived), I can't make a new contact with that same email address. To do so, I had to reach out to my account rep - would be helpful I could do that myself instead of having to reach out as an extra step.

Our company was looking for a solution that was a good value, easy to use, a great mobile app and something that had templates. AlertMedia delivers on all these areas.

Pros

The ability to communicate with our employees at the same time using text, phone and email options. The mobile app is easy to use and in case of emergency is critical to communicate with the whole company at the same time. The templates are easy to set up and would be essential if there is an emergency.

Cons

AlertMedia does not have any futures I don't like.

Utilization of the dashboard on my desktop computer is very easy. I have AlertMedia up all day everyday just in case. I like having a mass communication tool across channels at my fingertips.

Cons

AlertMedia has many features. Occasionally it feels overwhelming to have so many options on the type of notification to send and how to send it.

Best in the Industry. Every time I reach out to Customer Service I receive a response immediately and more importantly a fix to whatever my issue is. AlertMedia must be killing the competition in leading the ‘response’ metrics.

Pros

Simple as 1-2-3. Login; select template; send notification.

Cons

Currently working with higher stakeholders. In my role I receive notifications for multiple hospitals. The way we currently have the templates setup when I receive a notification I don’t know what hospital (location) it is for. The template needs to ask automatically to select a campus prior to sending message and include it in the notification. Thank you.
