" September 6, 2022 5.0 The software solved the need to train contractors on how to use the software, the place-to-house resolution for the office, and the integration of CPA charge, POA upload, and access to my IRS mailbox was life-changing for me. I love getting the reports directly in the clients' folders, the updates provided, and suggestions for handling a case. Overall Irs Solutions is excellent software for novice Accountants. I love the software reason I have had it for 2 plus years. Pros The most impactful features are the POA upload and the integration of the IRS system. We love all the forms and the organization of the forms. The integration with our existing business processes was very easy. We didn't need to do an extensive training Cons The only con is possibly the inability to start and stop payments for the software. Pitbull Tax offers that ability. I like this feature for startup firms, who may not have the income coming or clientele for resolution every month. Reason for choosing IRS Solutions Software Pitbull Software was just so robust, and it took too much time to learn. The cost of Pitbull was ridiculous for such a small firm. Pitbull also was charging for many features which are included in IRS solutions. They did not provide assistance in handling tax resolution. IRS Solutions provided classes. Pitbull also did not have customer loyalty. They increased existing customer prices with new customers. I did not have the time to learn pitbull. IRS solutions software is easier to use and learn. The cost of Pitbull was ridiculous for such a small firm. Pitbull also was charging for many features which are included in IRS solutions. They did not provide assistance in handling tax resolution. November 11, 2025 5.0 My experience with the IRS Solutions software has been great! The security is something trustworthy I can count on to manage my client's confidential information, while making my life easier to address their IRS problems! Pros I can't imagine doing tax resolution work without a great software like IRS Solutions. Even in normal Client support of IRS Notices, it makes my life a whole lot easier pulling transcripts, building letters from templates, and addressing my client issues. The user interface is fairly intuitive, with an easy guided learning curve through several weekly initial training e-mails. The value for money is a no brainer! Cons I wish I could add "lite" licenses that just allowed my colleagues who only need basic transcripts and letter templates as opposed to forms and financial analysis for full tax resolution work. I didn't use the product for over two months and never fully set it up because I found Canopy Tax to have more automation for tax resolution cases. Pros \- Cheaper than alternatives - Lots of manual information available Cons \- Lacks support for hardware keys which is becoming a necessary feature for most businesses. - User Interface is confusing. - Customer service feels robotic and not tailored to company needs. - Everything is very manual and very little support for API integrations. All of the knowledge they have is in pdf but not integrated within the workflows themselves. Reason for choosing IRS Solutions Software The cost. This was a mistake and wasted a lot of time when Canopy Tax has more tax resolution features and integrates with more solutions outside of Canopy. I had been with a competitor for many years. Their product offered so many bells and whistles the average resolution specialist would not use and the cost was not worth it. I have been very pleased with IRS Solutions and highly recommend it. Pros The software is easy to learn to use. It is affordable and offers everything you need. The interface with the IRS is extremely efficient. Security is a high priority. Client management and tax management go hand in hand. And best of all there is WONDERFUL support. Cons I would love to see a chat feature to more easily communicate with clients. My clients don't answer emails as quickly as they do chats. I have used one of the competitors and IRS Solutions is so much easier to use, great/fast support with questions, and they are reasonable in their pricing. Pros Simple, easy to use, support is great. Quick access to transcripts. Love the notifications via email with transcript updates and when I first get access to transcripts. Cons Would love more workflow processing in it and being able to automate it. Would love the ability to insert images, documents, pdfs to the notes section. Not only is it genuinely helpful, but they are teaching me how to monetize it. Pros Client support is fabulous. They seem to be personally invested in my mastery of the software. Solid and continuing easy to understand and pertinent topics. User interface is much better than another product in this genre that confused me into disuse. Cons We use other software for detailed reporting and account analysis of the tax transcripts. One of the best features was that I could ask the people running the program a question an get a response back almost immediately. It was great having a person with so much experience with the IRS backing us up. Pros The ease with which I could get to the IRS site an get my POAS downloaded. Also, way I could get clients to download information to me and the ability to keep client information in my Solutions files. The cost of the program is very reasonable. Cons The info videos were too fast. The length on several were for a few minutes and I found myself having go stop them and backtrack numerous times making the video into a 15 minute video. Just more the cursor more slowly so I can follow without having to stop all of the time. I cannot stand that I always have to click the button at the bottom of the client page to see my entire caseload... that's obnoxious. Pros I like that it maintains my client's tax debt issues in one concise area for our use, and that we can easily pull transcripts whenever we need. Cons I don't like that I have to always click the tab at the bottom to see my entire list of clients - that is SUPER annoying. I also don't like that you can't split a personal financial statement to reflect the percentage one spouse brings into the household versus the other. For a Tax Resolution Practice it is the best Pros To be able to pull transcripts, conduct an interview and populate most forms needed in my every day use is amazing. Cons The client portal is not user friendly. None of my clients seem to be able to fill out their financial information or really navigate it all that well. Especially from their phones. Ive also used for POA submission. Will be using it for OIC very soon in future.
