It is user friendly and easy to use. Pros We handle more than just taxes, so we use another software that overlaps in functionality. We use this software for our Tax Resolution practice. This software is excellent for us and is affordable. There have been constant improvements over the time we have used the software making it an even better value. Cons I don't have any dislikes. Our frustrations are all IRS related. The software has adapted to the IRS' constant changes. Whether I am working directly with the IRS or resolving issues through the Bankruptcy Courts the software is very valuable. Pros IRS solutions gives my law firm the ability to consistently prepare forms for clients no matter what the client's situation is. Cons I had no real complaints, however the learning curve was a little steep because I was used to using Canopy software. I also did not like that the transcript function did not always work, it was a little glitchy. Reason for choosing IRS Solutions Software The ability to order tax transcripts directly from the IRS without having to call them. Literally 4 clicks of the mouse and I have statute of limitation dates, abatement eligibility, and more. With another click or two, I have a collection statement and a settlement offer ready to sign and submit. Pros The support. Absolutely unmatched. If I have a question, I can reach the owners by phone, email, or even on Facebook. They are there to help me every step of the way, they solicit feedback to make the program better, and they actually care about me and my practice. Cons Nothing. There's nothing I would change that they aren't already implementing after I told them about it. The customer service is wonderful they go above and beyond to help with any problems Pros that the forms auto fill and you can make changes and it follows through to other forms they are always trying to improve. Cons it would be nice to have a per case charge instead of paying monthly if you aren't using it. Also would be nice to be able to turn off some features not needed to reduce the cost. Using technology can be intimidating especially when you're old school. I love the templates and how easy it is to implement solutions within the client portal. Best of all is the community. Everyone is really supportive and the means everything to me. Cons I understand why the two-factor authentication exists, but I don't like it. It is all-in-one package for all of your tax resolution needs. No hidden fees. You can find templets to letters, all forms, updated client transcripts and other helpful tools. IRS solutions marketing tools are the best, I use it all the time on social media. I have successfully closed a few complex tax resolution cases using their software. Cons I cannot tell what I like least about IRS Solutions. So far it's been great! Pros I liked the electronic transcripts where we are able to download directly from the IRS instead of having to request. Cons There was nothing I did not like the least as I was not able to link the e-transcripts delivery system which was my main purpose. Your comprehensive report answered that question, and he was delighted. We peeled out a 433, requested CNC status and (after much waiting) got CNC approved. He will run out the CSED while on CNC. Doubled his delight. Pros I love the "alternative solutions" page, because this is what troubled TPs need: Viable Alternatives. I like the ease of use as you can switch between the various 433 forms and I especially like the Bankruptcy and CSED calculators. I love the detailed report that the software creates to show the TP what his tax situation is. The Monthly Member Training webinars really reinforce what the software is designed to do: take the guesswork out of IRS problem management. Cons I dislike the IRS transcript log on procedures, but that is not your fault. Reason for choosing IRS Solutions Software I dod not look at any competing software. September 8, 2022 5.0 Clients love that I can quickly pull W&I and record of account transcripts without the hassle of them setting up their own IRS account or waiting for paper transcripts in the mail. Pros Cloud-based is what primarily enticed me to this software. In addition, it includes a large variety of sample letters and steps to take at each stage of tax resolution. Support is great, and responses are prompt. Cons Like anything cloud-based, it is going to be more expensive than anything installed on your desktop, like THS (Tax Help Services), which I also use. THS is about half the price and includes some features that IRS Solutions does not. For example, I really like the "home page" on THS which shows the status for all clients at a glance, which CAF approvals are set to expire soon, etc. Very informative. If IRS Solutions had all the features of THS, I would drop THS. Reason for choosing IRS Solutions Software I'm using both. I'm not familiar with other providers like Canopy and Pitbull. August 20, 2020 5.0 At first, I was quite skeptical especially when I saw the $7 initial monthly fee. Well, after a month of thinking about acquiring the software, I took the plunge and signed up. Honestly, within less than a month, I had my first PAID client!!! With the use of the videos and other supplemental material made available in the software, I just followed the steps and VOILA... I had my first PAID client. Now, I KNOW that the software is LEGIT and it works when and if YOU WORK IT!!! Pros I was blown away and continue to be blown away with the software's ease of use which in my opinion makes it SO POWERFUL!!!! Cons When I initially signed up, the user interface took a little time to get adjusted to, but once I became familiar with it, I was able to accelerate my productivity with the software EXPONENTIALLY... Pros The software is set up well and provides great functionality. Cons Not a fault of the software, but the IRS is broken. It takes the IRS months to process Form 2848, and I can access e-services on one of my computers but not on the other. Reason for choosing IRS Solutions Software Canopy did not respond timely.
