Other tools with this level of functionality are easily 5x the cost. Pros It does everything we need it to do in one tool. From curating, scheduling, client approvals, automation, analytics, and much more. Content Studio is central to our SMM services and how we service our clients. Cons There are a few UX improvements that would be super helpful. Minor tweaks that will have big improvements in our day-to-day workflow. Pros ContentStudio is more than a Buffer or HootSuite competitor. With this tool, you can perform deep market analysis, including what trends on social media for specific industries or niches, build unique content feeds to gather social posting ideas, and schedule posts for various social platforms. Their newsletter is also full of excellent, useful articles. Cons At first, ContentStudio was very limited and buggy, but they have constantly updated the tool (and overcome some API issues with certain social networks), to become a stable and very powerful marketing tool. It isn't the slickest interface and experience, but all the features you would need are there to plan a content strategy for your social networks, and even your blog. And they are getting better regularly, which is encouraging. Pros I like that ContentStudio pretty much covers the entire realm of social media content posting and planning. It is very flexible for getting your content to the right social networks at the right time, and is pretty packed for features. Creating evergreen content is easy, and integrating with pixels is easy, and it mostly just works as you would expect. Cons Some of the topic research can be a bit thin, and while they are gradually adding more sources and available content options, doing research for articles and topics in more niche industries can be a bit frustrating. Also, the interface is sometimes slow and not intuitive. I really hope they continue to improve it, as they have been doing. Review Source Luke A. Pros ContentStudio makes it easy to manage a publishing schedule for blogs and social media and get real oversight on what is happening there. It is an easy to use and full-featured solution for managing a content marketing plan. Cons I actually haven't found a particularly weak point yet. Reason for choosing ContentStudio We looked at quite a few competitors, I can't remember exactly which ones at this point, and chose Content Studio as it had a robust feature set but still felt easy to use. Not only can you discover trending and most shared content on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube (including Pinterest and Reddit), you can automatically share them as blog post (including Medium) or as social post. It is much more affordable and has been continually adding new features since last year. And frankly, it is less than half the cost of other content discovery and curation services out there. Not to mention the support which is responsive. (Even the CEO chimes in personally at times.) Cons Although it comes with a lot of features, I would specially like another feature added: discovery of influencers (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram). It would be really great! Pros I love the endless choices you can make when either scheduling or curating content, whether you want it to show slightly different on several platforms or post evergreen content. ContentStudio is nothing to be taken lightly! Cons So far, I don't like the lack of Instagram scheduling. Other than that, it's all pretty solid and a great tool for Digital Marketers. It makes finding relevant content a breeze and even lets you build your own boolean searches using on-brand keywords. Additionally, it offers fantastic integration options including Feedly and Pocket. Cons The only thing I feel it's missing is the ability to use their curated topics in automation campaigns. Currently, it appears you can only use custom topics you create. After comparing to numerous other competitors like Planable and Hootsuite, this seemed to be the most comprehensive tool at a great value. Pros This app has an incredible design that's a pleasure to use, along with numerous features and integrations that outshine much of the other tools we evaluated. They've thought of all the possible inputs and outputs. For instance, the ability to source popular posts, import from RSS, import from spreadsheets — plus post amongst the major social networks plus Wordpress — is incredible. We are hoping to deploy and use this as a post writing tool, editorial calendar, and checklist, all in one. There even is a built-in SEO tool, comments, version control, and project/task management system. Cons The mobile app has numerous odd glitches. For instance, social networks are sometimes unselected at inopportune times; it's not clear how to draft posts. Some topics appear to be completely empty under the Discovery Content Feed topics. June 3, 2019 5.0 Overall, ContentStudio is one of my most favorite tools for running my businesses. It's such a time saver without compromising quality. In fact, I think the quality is actually better because I'm finding content I otherwise would not have had the time to search for. Pros I love that I can click a button and the content I created (almost effortlessly using ContentStudio's content generation tools and rewriter implementation) is automatically posted to all my channels (blog and social media), either immediately or on a schedule. A great way to batch my social media posting. Cons It's a bit difficult for me to find sources easily. Some of the content that is pulled is irrelevant, but I think this can be improved by me tweaking my search parameters. Cons Instagram direct publishing is the only drawback I find on the software. But I am happy that we have an amazing analytics section for Instagram. Cons It does take some time to train the custom topics to eliminate lower quality websites, but that's more of a problem with the internet and people publishing low quality clickbait than ContentStudio. I gradually refine my topics by excluding keywords and domains and over time we get a much better set of results.
