Pros

  • Ability to integrate with repositories, notification emails are also useful.

  • Multiple servers for each repo is a must for us as we work with same code for multiple websites. Thanks to deploybot, our development approach has improved, and our workflow is looking cleaner.

  • Fantastic experience, great support, really changed the way we push code for the better.

Cons

  • Deployments do not always pick up on deploybot, not sure if deploybot is soley to blame for this though.

  • There's a little bit of a learning curve since the ignore list doesn't follow the same conventions as.

  • Our ignore lists would be identical for any web project for consistency's sake with setup. Also our root directories follow the same conventions.

"Nice service, good customer care after 2 tickets"

Overall: Overall it is great. I worked with it for one of my client and now using it in my company for all my clients.

Pros: Automated process are good, setting up different environments

Cons: I didn't like the support system, there has to be an email ID or a live chat thing, if there are ticketing system, then there should be a portal for back and forth replies.

Alternatives Considered: Beanstalk
Reasons for Choosing DeployBot: It looks easier and effective with different servers and different repo systems. i used earlier with Gitlab now using with GitHub.

"Using Deploybot"

Overall: Deploybot has significantly reduced the time we spend setting up build commands for deployment and for troubleshooting deploy issues. Their support service is always very quick to respond (within an hour or two) and they always make you feel like your issue is their first priority.

Pros: Deploybot makes it much easier to compile and deploy code to multiple server environments. Its much easier to setup, troubleshoot, and maintain then a git action.

Cons: The user interface could use some updating as it's not very intuitive for new users.

"Efficient and Intuitive: DeployBot Delivers"

Pros: The interface is elegantly designed, free from superfluous buttons. It directs you straight to the essentials, eliminating unnecessary complications. While it prioritizes simplicity for beginners, advanced options are readily available for those who seek more depth.

Cons: Honestly, I've had a seamless experience. The team was responsive to my requests, implementing features I suggested. Furthermore, the custom option provides flexibility for unique needs.

"Reliable and great support"

Overall: I've used DeployBot for several years. It's an integral part of our development process. When needed, support is quick to answer and knowledgeable, but mostly it just runs once it's set up.

Pros: I love that Deploybot connects my repos to any number of servers for deploying updates to production or staging environments, with the option to roll back if necessary.

Cons: The user interface is not pretty, but it gets the job done.
