Pros Keyword research is really easy - the filters allow you to drill down into specific niches. Great for newer websites looking for content easier to get ranked. Pros I use Ahrefs extensively for in-depth keyword research, backlink checking, auditing our websites and now their new Ahrefs Webmaster Tools (AWT) feature! I also like how organized everything feels inside the dashboard area. Cons Would love to see a built-in AI tool for automatic content creation. And at $179/mo it's a bit pricey but well worth it for all it offers. By doing a deep analysis of the website Ahrefs shows the overall errors or issues of the website. And a good tool for competitive research & analysis. Pros Ahrefs makes it extra easy to find broken links. You can just enter the domain name of your website into its ‘Site Explorer’ section and then click Backlink profile then Broken backlinks. This will provide you with a list of the domain’s broken links and the sites where these links feature. Truly a one-stop solution for all your SEO needs. Cons The keyword research tool doesn't show the data well enough and the tool is really expensive even Its smallest membership comes with a high price and limited features. Pros It has huge selection of different filters. it allows me to search for weak sites and/or low difficulty KWs and do reverse engineering. Cons Sometimes KW difficulty is completely off. I can find out who is talking about me, my industry, and my keywords. I can keep track of my backlinks and make sure that I am getting the most out of them. I can even track my site performance and see how I am improving. It's a complete toolset – one that I use every day. Pros I tested Ahrefs in a "free trial" in Q1 2021 (7$ for 7 days). I think in general they offer all the tools you need for your onpage/offpage SEO. The site audit crawl they offer seems to be quite detailed and useful. Cons To be honest, I didn't like the user interface too much. It looks everything a little bit old school. Personally, I also didn't like the keyword explorer that much. When I compare it with similar tools like MOZ or Searchmetrics, I like these once more. I also don't like too much, that they don't offer a free trial at all, what usually is standard for other SEO tools. Actually you can just test it 7 days for 7$, which is IMO too short. It does what it is supposed to do. Nothing fancy but reliable. Pros ahrefs is an inexpensive all-in-one SEO platform with a strong focus on backlinks. While the other features are OK, I mainly use it for backlinks, where it absolutely excels. Cons The UI has not changed in many years and I feel the usability could be improved upon. Click stream data has not been updates since December 2019. The rank tracker is really just that - a rank tracker. Some competitors have a much stronger focus and the SEO project management aspect.
