It provides a ton of valuable online business tracking that really helps to grow my business. Pros I LOVE how easy this software is to use and the way it presents information. Some SEO tools make it very hard to interpret the results. This software also scans your website about every week or two looking for errors and domain rating changes which is amazing Cons The price. The keyword explorer helps identify a lot of related keywords for SEO research, and the comeptitior comparisons have helped us assist our clients overnight! Pros You can check a large amount of sites for ranking factors and backlinks even if you aren't an owner. Easy to use and follow the site layout. Cons It does log you out rather quickly, especially if there are multiple users on a standard account. For a small business providing for multiple clients, it doesn't have a lot of options for multiple campaigns for a small business budget. You can analyze sites for top keywords, organic rankings, anchors, etc. It really does everything you need. Most other software does one thing or another. Either specializing in rankings or in backlinks, or keyword research etc. But Ahrefs really does it all. Cons It almost does too much. If you need everything it offers, then year, great, it's worth the money, but if you only use it for a specific purpose, it's a bit expensive. Review Source QH Quratulain H. The interface is very convulated though and the different tabs make it difficult to see where your own website is. Pros I used this software and within the first month found two websites that had been copying my posts. Also found some links that had been snuck into old posts by someone with admin access to the site. Suffice to say Ahrefs did the work and allowed me to plug holes into the site. Cons Its not the most user friendly software. 4 months in, I'm still trying to figure out how to do linkbuilding and content analysis with it. I have to back and read some huge articles for that to happen. Unfortuantely, i just dont have the time. We would try it again, and even give all of its functionality another shot in the future. Pros It was easy to setup and help us analyze broken urls and export the information to repair them and avoid bounced traffic to our site. That said, I think it would be worth it to invest enough time in it to learn how to properly use it to optimize site traffic. Cons Clearly there are many ways to use this service and we never really had the need for some functionality that was included with our subscription regardless. I'm not quite sure what to do to surpass others, I think that an expert could use this tool to determine that, but someone who is not a full time SEO engineer will feel confused. Pros Many SaaS companies cheap out on programmers, and produce frustrating to use products. That's not the case with Ahrefs. Their interface is well thought out, and the product is solid. Our clients can be a bit guilty of wanting to talk about what they want to be known for rather than what they are known for! Pros It was easy to use as someone who has a knowledge of SEO rather than being an expert. We could easily test the keywords we were given by client and could give them reasos why they where good/bad! Pros Ahrefs offers almost every feature I need to do SEO research & reporting, and I feel that the data provided seems more accurate than other tools. In particular, the backlinks report feels more complete than that provided by SEMRush or Moz. Cons The cost is prohibitive for smaller companies or individuals. They continue to pack more functionality into the platform, and I love the competitive data available. Cons There's so much functionality that you can get a little lost. That's especially true since they keep adding new features. Competitive products are a bit easier to use. Pros Super, super rich featureset and extensive data that helps you manage many different aspects of SEM/SEO—Ahrefs has pretty much everything you'd expect from a professional tool in this domain. You can analyze particular competitor sites, you can look at keyword volume+trends thereof overtime, and basically figure what is the biggest bang for your buck to rank for. I find that ahref's difficulty scores for keywords to be more reliable than competitors like Moz's. Cons The richness of featureset/data available in Ahrefs comes with a slight tradeoff of user experience complexity. This is a professional grade tool that might feel daunting for beginners, but if you are a power user you will love it. The price is on the high side as well. Pros I like that I can get down to the city level for my SEO research and the research available. It's great software. Cons I find the UI had to get around. After setting this up I have a hard time finding the information I am looking for.
