Once you get the hang of it though, it's pretty powerful. The ability to see backlinks on pages is really useful, especially when trying to identify what pages on your site you need to focus on. It's expensive for an individual blogger so i do tend to bounce back and forth between paid and free subscriptions. The latter offers more and more nowadays. It's definitely the "Rolls Royce" of the SEO tools but does have a price to match. Pros Ahrefs offers a hugely powerful feature set and a way to keep a constant view on your sites performance and metrics. Its database of links is usually quick to pick up new links and the keyword explorer is very helpful in finding new topics to write about. Cons Ahref's learning curve is steep, and the software can feel overwhelming at times. The accuracy of some of the data is also questionable sometimes. On one month I was double charged. When I contacted support I was told it was a glitch, and the money was returned a couple of days later, but I felt the company should have been more proactive and open about the glitch - it was left down to me to follow it up. I use it mainly to fix any on-page and off-page errors. Ahrefs will give you a list of all the errors on your website, which may include orphan pages, redirects, 404s, and more. You will be able to see where the error is originating from and get suggestions on how to fix the errors.
