### "Microkeeper through the eyes of the integrator"

I have been working with Microkeeper mainly as an integration developer for about a year, assisting the business with setting up integrations between various applications.

Pros

Pricing and value for money is generally better comparing to the competitors. It is not as feature-rich as others, but okay for a small organisation.

Cons

The API looks like it has been done much later and in rush. Many things simply don't make sense, something simply cannot be done via the API.

Pros

Efficient while can track employee behaviors on time. And managing work force was easy.

Pros

When is working properly it is far more efficient than using a spreadsheet. The calculations and systems seem accurate and relative robust. Support are always quick to respond, albeit dismissive and not particularly helpful.

Cons

There are many short comings with the software and the organisation is slow remedy them (if at all), the most noteable of which are as follows: 1) Employee Payslip disclose information (pertaining to taxable income) in a way that is factually wrong and cannot be corrected (or simplified). 2) Reports are hard to read and often do not contain all information necessary to properly understand them. 3) Data integrations with software platforms like Xero and MYOB are prone to error and no process to safeguard/identify errors. Additional shortcoming means this issue recurs each time a correction or change is required. I understand that the software is in development, but as a user (facing the above challenges) this provides little consolation.

I also appreciate some of your feedback regarding the reports and robustness of data integration. This helps us to focus our future development on areas users identify as having room for improvement. As a sidenote, Microkeeper is not "in development" as such, but we do continually add updates and features. Your feedback regarding the payslips however is wrong. I can assure you these are built to the standards of the Australian Taxation Office. As a software provider, we work closely with a specialised department within the ATO, and we have an excellent working relationship with them. I'm also sorry to hear you experience your customer service through our reseller channel as dismissive and unhelpful. We take this feedback seriously and we'll follow this up with your point of contact.

### "Growing business ... Microkeeper keeps up!"

Pros

I've been using Microkeeper for my growing not for profit, with numerous departments, and rather quirky pay rate rules, etc. And Microkeeper has been such a time saver. What used to take me up to an hour with 8 employees now takes me less than 20 minutes with up to 19 employees with various rates, rules, timesheets, and such. I have also started playing with the Skills feature and see so much potential for our needs. Now to use the time I've saved to setup some Skills rules and save even more!

Cons

I have found the rostering system a bit cumbersome for the numerous different departments I manage which all have their quirks and different schedules weekly. But for a single department or more formalised roster, it would work a treat!

Microkeeper has become an indispensable tool for us, and I highly recommend it to any business looking to streamline their payroll process and gain better control over their expenses.

Pros

it has completely transformed the way we manage payroll and rosters. The automation features have cut down our payroll processing time by an impressive 70%, allowing us to focus more on other aspects of our business. One of the standout features is the visibility on costs as soon as we prepare the rosters. This real-time insight gives us much better control over wages, which is our biggest expense.

Cons

It doesn't calculate the payroll tax correctly for WA

Microkeeper has been a remarkably streamlined and reliable tool. My primary interaction revolves around processing vast amounts of data, and Microkeeper's structured environment makes this incredibly efficient. I've found the payroll processing to be particularly robust

Pros

One of the biggest draws of Microkeeper is its ability to centralize various aspects of workforce management. Instead of using separate systems for payroll, rostering, time tracking, and HR, Microkeeper integrates them into a single platform. This significantly reduces manual data entry, minimizes errors, and saves a tremendous amount of time.

Cons

The reporting and analytics a bit lacking. It seems like the reports aren't as detailed or in-depth as I might need, and sometimes they feel a little clunky and hard to read. I'd definitely want more advanced reporting features, as it seems those are limited right now.

This has been the best investment for our business. Rostering takes no time at all and payroll is now a breeze!

Pros

Microkeeper has been such a great investment for our small business. As the administrator, but also an employee that uses the program, my favourite feature is the new messaging part of the app. This allows us to send group messages to particular staff or all staff.

Cons

Some of the features can be hard to get your head around at the beginning as it is quite overwhelming with so many features that are all very new when you are changing rostering/payroll systems. But the support team are great

Fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Pros

The Microkeeper payroll system is extremely user friendly, with all the functionality I require to run a payroll for 3 different venues, all with split shifts, cost centres etc. Support calls are always answered promptly (I rarely have to leave a message), and the staff are always super helpful and able to solve the problem - which is usually me not quite knowing how to do something slightly more complicated. The ability for staff to access payslips & update their details makes payroll easier from an administrative point of view.

Cons

Would like some better costing alternatives via my departments, when I need to split it out into time slots - breakfast, lunch & dinner.

I have now done three payruns, since the start of this financial year, havepaid salaries and super, notified the ATO of my STP, all in plenty of time to include withholding tax details on my BAS. Amazed how quick it is to master, and how brilliant the tech support has been.

Pros

The programme is user-friendly, and the fastsetup guide is pretty simple and easy, despite me being totally new to payroll and STP reporting. But whenever I got stuck, the tech people were there for me in a flash, both phone and email, and via the free 15min chat. And they know their product extremely well and are good at explaining things for a non-tech-savy, non-accountant.

Cons

Doing my STP and starting to pay myself as a closely-held employee is totally outside my comfort zone, so I struggled to confront the task of filling in all the data. This is not a criticism of Microkeeper at all, I was out of my depth with Quickbooks and MYOB which I looked at first, and which are much more complicated and expensive too.

Reason for choosing Microkeeper

Partly cost, and partly because Microkeeper gives me all I need to do the STP and payroll processes I need without a lot of stuff I don't need.

Love it, should have moved earlier

Pros

Simple to use monthly payroll, with onboarding and terminations quick and easy. Easy to review and process. And staff get their payslips to their inbox. Reporting options provide everything required for general ledger processing, And cloud based, so can process from home!

Cons

Reduced reporting options, but once used to them, found adequate.

Seemed to be well reviewed and able to manage salaried workers, where many of the cheap cloud versions seem to rely on timesheets only.
