It's basically a plug it in and go, which is perfect for roadside signage where you don't want to be doing a bunch of complicated IT work. If you've got a couple of signs and just want them to show your pictures or videos without crashing, this is the job just fine. It's not for super high tech stuff, but for normal business days it's great Pros Getting XOGO up and running a super fast. I didn't have to spend all day figuring it out, which was great because I had to put the signs up outside and didn't want to be messing with the computer forever. The best part is that the internet acting up out by the road, the sign doesn't just go blink. It keeps playing whatever you put on there because it saves the files right on the device. It's way easier to use than some of the other confusing text stuff out there Cons It's a bit basic if you want to do fancy scheduling. You can set it to play at certain times, but it's not like a big calendar where you can plan out months of different ads easily. Also if you want to show live stuff from the web, it's kind of a pain to set up. The customization options available in the platform makes it better than the others. Pros The user interface is quite good with easy to follow menu options and there is enough documentation and videos available on Youtube for you to learn. Cons XOGO is an amazing signage platform but it can get pricey if you have a bigger inventory. From a platform perpective, it met all our requirments. I wish that there was a way to reset it and to start over. Pros The idea of this sounds amazing. I can stream whatever I want on my TV in my lobby with no monthly service charge. First we have a scheduling tool within every playlist, which allows you to choose which days/times certain content can play (example: set up a food menu that changes from breakfast to lunch automatically at noon every day). We ALSO have a calendar-based scheduling tool ("playlist planner") that allows you to choose which playlist any given media player should be running on a particular date(s). We have our MTR devices set to launch and run XOGO whenever they're idle for 3 minutes or more. It's kind of a like a screensaver on steroids - we display corporate comms, KPIs and our company Instagram whenever the screens are not in use. Pretty cool way to get a lot more value out of these expensive screens. Pros XOGO is super easy to set up and use. And the best part is -for our business anyway- that it's integrated directly into Microsoft Teams Rooms. We have our MTR devices set up to display signage anytime they are sitting idle. Cons Haven't really had any issues so far, once we got everything set up in XOGO and in the Microsoft Pro Mgmt. Portal (PMP). It just works. We only have one screen at the moment and that is very easy to handle. Pros It's a great way to distribute content to people. It's mostly easy to use and allows for a variety of file types. Cons That is has quite a few steps to upload. I understand why but I have to upload to the library first, then to the playlist and then add that playlist to the player...could probably one step less, e.g. anything that is uploaded to a playlist gets added to the library automatically.
