We have cutdown on our Snowflake ingestion cost by 5x. Our data is synced in a timely manner, and so far the data has been accurate. What more could you ask for in an ELT product? Pros The value for money just can't be beaten. We achieved a 5x cheaper saving by moving to Hevo. It is also easy and simple to setup data flows if you just doing ELT, and not ETL. We managed to setup almost 150 new sources within 3 weeks. Their product support and dev teams are simply unbelievably good. Issues are fixed quickly, and even product enhancements can be made on request, which get done very 1quickly. Within 2 weeks. Cons Sometimes the historical syncs in standard can take a few days to complete, but the new Edge syncs Hevo have added to their product are very fast and make up for the slower Standard syncs. There are some gotcha's you need to watch out for, for example if you restart an object in the pipeline means it restarts the entire tables ingestion again from the beginning, it's like a full historical sync, so just be aware of that. Also, I am feeding my CRM with daily fresh data. I achieved all this with Hevo as a Data Loader and without having to code any integration. Pros I think overall is a great tool and the features are very complete. For instance, I can target my CRM to feed data into it. Also, they have lots of integrations available that helps replicating data from different sources. Cons Sometimes some data pipelines break because of problems on the Hevo side. This is annoying because you would expect that if you don't change anything on your side, everything would run smoothly... But anyway, customer support is very fast and the solve all the issues in no time. Pros I like how easy - almost trivially so - that it is to get started with Hevo. It literally just works. The team have made it really simple to start, and include a free trial. Also the support team are excellent. It has great documentation as well so you can synchronise easily from a wide range of sources and destinations. Cons Some things aren't as polished as you'd like. For instance, you can't categorise pipelines or sort them into folders. You simply have a huge list. Also, there's no easy way - without programming it yourself using the Hevo API - to manage pipelines in bulk. Let's say you have pipelines for similar databases with the same structures; you have to manage them by-hand, individually, or you have to make your own tools. I'm able to setup most connectors on my own but when I run into trouble, they're right there to help out! Pros The GUI is very user-friendly and the support has been great! When setting up a connector, the tips on the right-hand side of the screen are fantastic. For instance, when setting up a new destination in Snowflake, the script to create the role, database, etc are supplied there. You just have to change the names. I've reached out to their support team a few times now. The chat box is helpful to get started and they're very responsive. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for an initial response. If the case escalates, the response is equally impressive. The answers are clear and they're extremely friendly. Cons It took me awhile to figure out how to change the destination table when using an API. It defaults to the table name 'API', which isn't helpful when you're setting up multiple API feeds to the same destination. Once I figured out how to do it though, it wasn't a problem. Hevo will take care of everything from source mapping to destination mapping with just a few clicks. It has many useful features, be it table/column auto-mapping , resizing and basic transformations for complex data sources like Mongo where you want to flatten the nested data. I enjoy the free trial at first because it helped me understand if this is the tool we are looking for (and it was). I also appreciate their support via live chat. Didn't need it often, but when I did they were responsive and answered my questions. When I run into any issues, their customer support team is quick to respond and usually resolves my issue on the spot. If not, they escalate the issue which also gets a quick response.
