It was helpful in the beginning and in the office for our digital storage needs, but when you access remotely, the trouble begins. Not everything is uploaded, it's difficult to access.

Pros

I'm sure there are reasons to still be using MyCloud, I believe their security is better than using real well-known remote cloud storage options.

Cons

It's just not practical for daily use in comparison to just using OneDrive or Google Filestream. I don't really understand their purpose.

We were moving from perpetual, client-side licensing to SaaS but didn't want to become an expert in Cloud services. We looked at AWS, Google, IBM, and Azure. Our goal was to find a single integrated supplier that could hold our hands through the process and handle all the licensing (RDS, Office) and billing. MyCloudIT was by far the best solution we found and we did demos with all the others. The hand holding was far more than I would have expected and they made our transition a success.

Pros

ease of use without sacrificing functionality

Cons

the portal can be a bit slow at times but that isn't a deal killer
