We created and built in reminders (text and email)for volunteers.before bookings, thus process relied on an administrators remembering to send an email. I am pleased with Bookings and what it offers. Pros Microsoft bookings is a great tool to use for creating reseevations for internal meetings or operational reservations. Our office has used this to allow for volunteers to sign up for volunteeer opportunities in our office. It allow users to see a page of availabile time slots and they can select the time and sign up. We created this system with our IT team. They walked us through the process. Once shown how to customize and build the volunteer options, it was easy to understand and replicate. I was able to add information about the expectations regarding the volunteer opportunity and send reminders closer to the date. Cons What I wish was better was more customization on the booking page. The page the volunteers see. Also, the creation of the time slots took some time to understand. I wish it was easier to understand without an in person tutorial. Review Source Jonathan K. Pros This tool is tied directly to your company's Office 365 account, so you can easily create a calendar booking site that your colleagues and clients can reserve time to meet. Additionally, a Microsoft Teams link can automatically be generated for virtual meetings. Also, you can create a booking page for yourself or a shared one with colleagues to have multiple people on a team that can be booked to compare times and who works best. Cons There is no option to connect your booking page with any other video conferencing platforms, which makes you have to use Teams even if it's not the most viable option. Additionally, it would be nice for your page to have a banner or image theme to make it visually appealing. It was difficult, the software is cumbersome, not very flexible, not easy to use, and even though they changed their layout to something better, it is still not really up to par with the competition. Pros It was free with my Microsoft 365. Honestly that is probably the one thing I liked. Cons If you don't want or need Microsoft 365, or if you want your clients to pay when they do the booking, this software doesn't even come close to the features and flexibility of Calendly or Squarespace (formerly Acuity Scheduling). " January 2, 2026 4.0 I have been able to integrate Microsoft Bookings easily into my daily workflow. It saves me time because I'm not having to go back and forth with each person to figure out "what time works best" for all of us. This makes it easy, and I don't have to pay someone to keep my calendar going. l Pros I added Microsoft Bookings as an app on my Microsoft Teams account. I am able to set my available hours for meetings, and it merges with my calendar so no one can book a time to meet when I already have something scheduled. It was free to add on my Teams account, and there was no learning curve. I was able to create different booking links so there is always one that goes out on any email I send so I can be available to my team. When I send an email to people I am trying to recruit, they get a different link that shows up that I titled "first time meeting" so I know in my calendar what kind of call I am going into before the meeting starts. I haven't had any issues, but I know customer support is always there because it makes it clear where to go. And the best thing is, when someone books a time to meet, I get a notification and a reminder sent to my email so I can stay on top of the job. Cons It took me a little bit to figure out the different features and how I wanted to implement them into my daily workflow. But you will get that with any kind of product you use. Bookings came in very handy. It allowed me to fill up open slots and make sure there were no duplicates. There are features that allow you to select specific days or certain time frames which helps with usage. Cons Not necessarily something I do not like, but I wish it had a feature to limit the amount of people who could sign up for the same time frame. This could be offered through Microsoft Outlook as well. It is easy for those making bookings, and staff have immediate access to the details of their bookings through their O365 calendars. Pros Ease of use, 24/7 availability for clients, minimal staff time required for setup and administration, automatic calendar / Teams meeting creation for staff, reminder emails for everyone involved. Cons Initial configuration is time-consuming and not always intuitive, and there is no way to remove the wildcard "Any staff" option from list of staff members clients can choose.
