Pros If you are using the Microsoft Suite for your business, including your calendars, then this is the easiest software to use to schedule appts with customers. Cons It's pretty straightforward to set up, but it was a little confusing assigning roles at first and getting some of the detailed settings completed. Incredible performance overall and syncronization across different devices and apps. Cons Permission control could have been handled better and access to the booking system via other Microsoft platforms and add ons is rather difficult. Ich habe festgestellt, dass ich eine Termintreue von 98 % habe, das bedeutet, dass nur sehr sehr wenige Termine nicht stattfinden. Das verbinde ich unter anderem damit, dass die Kunden automatisiert noch mal an den Termin erinnert werden. Cons Für mich war die Einrichtung ein wenig tricky. Wenn es erst mal steht und getestet worden ist, funktioniert es in meinen Augen einwandfrei. It was difficult, the software is cumbersome, not very flexible, not easy to use, and even though they changed their layout to something better, it is still not really up to par with the competition. Pros It was free with my Microsoft 365. Honestly that is probably the one thing I liked. Cons If you don't want or need Microsoft 365, or if you want your clients to pay when they do the booking, this software doesn't even come close to the features and flexibility of Calendly or Squarespace (formerly Acuity Scheduling). Microsoft charges over $20 a month in order to have this simple feature... Reason for choosing Microsoft Bookings It came free. It is easy for those making bookings, and staff have immediate access to the details of their bookings through their O365 calendars. Pros Ease of use, 24/7 availability for clients, minimal staff time required for setup and administration, automatic calendar / Teams meeting creation for staff, reminder emails for everyone involved. Cons Initial configuration is time-consuming and not always intuitive, and there is no way to remove the wildcard "Any staff" option from list of staff members clients can choose. Bookings takes the guess work out and allows users to control their calendars more effectively. If someone is attempting to schedule a meeting and isn't on the network, we immediately provide the link to our Bookings page and make it easier on everyone. Pros There are many tools that provide the same type of service as Bookings but the security of the Microsoft suite was important to us. We've previously used other tools but we were able to get everyone into Bookings which made training and troubleshooting easier for the entire staff. Our recruiters are asked to meet with students daily and rather than emailing the student their available times, recruiters can simply provide a link to the calendar which allows students to pick an available time simply. We work with several partners who don't have visibility to calendars when scheduling meeting. Access to the individuals' bookings page makes scheduling easier and reduces the chances of people getting double booked. Meetings booked through a Bookings page is moved over to the Outlook calendar with a notification. Cancellations are also updated in Outlook and the attendees are notified. Cons The customization opportunities are limited. Users can set things like email reminders and calendar invites, and modify color schemes and logos. Would like to see more integrations with other MS products. For example, if a meeting is booked that is going to require a conference call or an online software. It would be nice to automatically have a Microsoft Teams meeting and invite created and emailed to the participants. Ability to create a one-time bookings page that incorporates the calendars of several people would be a nice addition to the product. We would not be able to do our seasonal hire without it. Pros Our very small team annually hires over 150 people over the course of a few months. Having the ability for our team to sync their calendars/availability and let interviewees book their own interviews has been a game changer for us. Saves so much time and effort. It auto syncs with Teams so everything is taken care of. And since its built into the Microsoft suite it wasn't a separate program we needed to pay for. Bookings really runs itself once you've set up your parameters, which is so important to us. Cons As we are using it for interviews, we must have two of our own staff present on the interview. Teams can't book with two of our team without me making a built in team of every pairing. So I do have to manually enter the second interviewer, which is frustrating. This is the only downside we have found with bookings. Reason for choosing Microsoft Bookings It was free (within our Micrsoft Suite of products), and did nearly everything we needed. The only feature it couldn't do was easily worked around. I also like that the virtual appointments app is in Teams so my users aren't going to a completely separate place. Pros We use bookings to manage training with clients. So they aren't setting up the appointment themselves, but it allows us to create standard appointment windows and the manager who is assigning the training to staff can see everyone's calendar at one time to assign those trainings. The SMS and email reminders are critical to success and it's great to have them as clients will get pinged about the training an intervals we decide as well as things like an automatic thank you email after the appointment. The ability to extent Bookings functionality by using it with power automate cannot be overstated. Cons Eh Microsoft had it more in mind for Doctor's offices and salons and things like that. I wish they'd expand the design for things like a group class with limited spots. We make it work, but it clearly wasn't designed with that in mind. Review Source Ejaz H. The software provides a lot of abilities to manage calendars across locations and employees. Cons 1\. The API is in beta, gets changed without warning, lacks major convenience features like requesting availability and overall seems to be built in order to make the usage of scheduling without Microsoft UI as hard as possible 2. We tried to cancel the service but Microsoft locked us out of the account. The support will not take our termination and refers to the authenticator app. Since we do not have that app, we cannot log in. We are paying since over 6 month without receiving any value. Microsoft Support stopped responding to our request to cancel. We consider to ask our bank to block the deduction of subscription fees because of fraudulent behavior. Easy to create appointment types and place on our main website. Great flexibility in customer email communications, with reminders of appointments and such. Cons While it's functional on a basic level, there are many many annoyances that just are unexplainable. First, you can access bookings via the web app, or you can access bookings via a Teams plugin, or use an iOS app The problem is, each method provides you a different set of options when creating the booking. Zero consistency. In order to use bookings, you need to add everyone that uses it to the staff, AND, you have to give them full admin control. If someone gets to create bookings, they can also go in and muck with all of the settings. Horrible! The next access tier down is that they can view bookings, but not create or modify them. That's next to useless, if you ask me. Also, every staff member's calendar now shows up in bookings. If you have a receptionist making bookings, there would be no need for their calendar to show up. In the Teams version of the app, you can remove the useless calendars. On the web version you cannot. But on the Teams version, you only have very rudimentary options for creating a booking, so you need to use the Web app to access it. The home page in the web app is useless. It's got buttons for setting up the first time, but not what you need for day to day stuff isn't there, and there's no apparent way to change it. In the calendar page, you can create bookings. There are boxes for customer notes and internal notes. However, once you put anything in there, the boxes are no longer labeled as to what they are. Horrible design. Review Source Jair Alexander A. Attorney Law Practice Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Just Falls Short" May 17, 2020 3.0 Pros As with so many things from Microsoft, this software just falls short of delivering what we need. I operate a consumer bankruptcy practice and I deal with consumers, so text message reminders are a must. The text message reminders in MS Bookings do not work. The texts often give a time 2 to 3 hours after the actual appointment. I have spent quite a bit of time reading about this and changing the time zone settings. I have contacted customer support. They want me to run several tests on how I do things and show them why I am not scheduling the appointments correctly. Another drawback is that there are 0 integrations. MS Bookings does not even integrate with MS Outlook! If your client enters the contact info to book the appointment, wouldn't it be a no brainer that you could them move that over to Outlook? Sure. Can you do it? NO! I am moving to a service that will correctly text out the reminders and cut out entering the contact info multiple times. Cons Accurate Text message reminders and integrations at least with other MS products. Reason for choosing Microsoft Bookings It was free with my Office 365 subscriptions. Al final se vuelve una herramienta imprescindible. Pros Lo visual que es, con un golpe de vista puedes ver qué es lo que tienes que hacer en el día o cómo de ocupada tienes la semana. Además, es muy sencilla de utilizar y a mí me viene genial para poder organizar las tutorías con las familias y que éstas puedan reservarlas al ver mi calendario. Puedes controlarla tanto desde el ordenador como desde el móvil. Cons Creo que el precio es un poco elevado teniendo en cuenta que hay herramientas gratuitas que te realizan el mismo servicio.
