### "Great one stop solution"

February 11, 2020

5.0

Overall Google forms is a great tool to collect data and have it populate in various data collection services.

Pros

Ability to integrate with other GSuite applications such as Sheets and Documents. Lots of add-ons available to extend functionality with external services. Easy to use and customize.

Cons

Sometimes the forms aren't the most visually appealing forms on the planet. Dispatching the forms can be a bit cumbersome as well.

### "Creating Forms"

January 18, 2019

NA

Pros

1) Easy to use. 2) The Administrator who creates the form has all the access of that form and the data is secured. 3) Different types of forms can be created and also online test can also be taken by this software.

Cons

1) Hence the administrator has all the control once you submit your data you don't have the rights to edit the data unless and until the administrator allows that. 2) No other cons.

### "Best Data Collection Tool"

June 23, 2020

5.0

Google Forms is the best tool for survey. It is user friendly and easy to use. The feedbacks of people are very useful for me to collect data and analyze them effectively. I like the interface of Google Forms but I think that templates could be made much better by Google.

Pros

Google Forms is very intuitive tool for collecting data. It is very easy to use like any other Google products. The interface is also very good. There are different types of questions that you could include in your survey like choosing from a list and multiple choice questions. You can acquire huge amount of data from target audience to effectively analyze them.

Cons

I don’t think that there are much areas of improvement for Google Forms as it serves its purpose very well. However, the only thing that comes to my mind is that it would be great if they it could be used even without internet connection. It would be good if people could answer the questions without internet connection.

### "Easy to use, quick to implement. "

January 11, 2022

5.0

Easy to use, very user-friendly (all google products are).

Pros

Google forms make it easy for you to survey and ask questions or simply have a customer fill out a contact form. They make it super user-friendly to customize and get your form completed and up and running quickly with zero friction.

Cons

I forget that we have it sometimes, I use slides, sheets, and docs a ton but forget about google forms.

### "Google Forms as an Employee Feedback tool"

December 23, 2020

4.0

In general, G forms is a very good tool for gathering any feedback in forms, it has some conditional options, it looks neat, and is very intuitive to use.

Pros

The most useful were conditional "sections". This feature allowed us to adjust the forms to many possible scenarios depending on who is filling the form.

Cons

The thing that is missing in G forms is that when you choose multiple rows and columns question, you cannot add comments next to each of the column, so you can only chose the option and cannot explain it. We found this a bit annoying, because we use it to gather employee's feedback.

### "I use it because it is free"

May 13, 2023

2.0

Google forms is nice for a free form builder. Google could certainly put more love into developing google forms to make it better.

Pros

I like the fact that this software is free and anyone is able to use it.

Cons

I dislike the user interface and user experience of building and filling out surveys with google forms.

### "Our chemical forms come from this incredible software"

August 1, 2018

5.0

Pros

The Google platform has had excellent innovative ideas that have materialized in high performance software, among which is Google Forms. Software that has allowed us to establish the most complete forms of our research list for a year, providing high quality products that can be exported and presented to any audience, researchers or investors. These benefits described above deepen more because you can connect with your email gmail, making these forms itinerant products, an important element to take our forms anywhere without the need to have external storage devices

Cons

Like other software that we use from the google platform, we do not have any objection or claim that we should mention here.

### "Survey Feature Review "

October 25, 2021

5.0

Pros

The ease of use and the price point are the two biggest reasons we use the feature. Also, the fact it is so customizable makes it work for nearly any reason.

Cons

Some of the features, like ranking, are not exactly what I need sometimes. Reviewing the data is also not always very clear when downloaded. It would also be useful to filter responses by time. For example, I want to see all submissions for October 1 - present.

### "Making online forms are now just a click away"

June 24, 2020

5.0

The usability, the layouts, and the design are top-notch. It has been a companion for many since the day it went live. I have been loving google forms since the beginning and will be loving it ahead too. The overall experience is more than awesome and I highly recommend this to startups and beginners for all their form needs. The best part is that forms can also be embedded in websites. Keep up google forms.

Pros

The collection of data from our subscribers, clients, or even within the company is now quick and easy. We regularly use this to accumulate feedback, suggestion, or even for participation in any program or event. Google forms are easy to deploy and share. They are also simple and highly customizable as per our own needs. The ability to use it on mobile devices also is just so cool.

Cons

Google form being a free tool skips the question of finding any con. I mean what else do we need from a free tool. Still thinking over again and sometimes i felt google forms a little annoying when people fill out wrong email and mobile numbers. I wish there was a way to avoid this kind of a spam from the forms by verifying the contact details. This will really save us a ton of time.

### "Another Home Run From Google "

November 27, 2019

5.0

Google Forms are customizable so you can change colors and give them a certain "look" (although they do in general have a distinct Google Form appearance, it is professional). They also are super easy to use and push out to the world. Because of their basic appearance and ease of use, I believe I get a higher response rate than other forms. The ease of filling out the form and returning it is amazing!! I highly recommend for businesses, non-profits, government agencies, and others who conduct internal and external surveys.

Pros

I love that it is easy to create a professional looking form with the ease of using Google Suite's accessible interface.

Cons

All Google Forms have a certain "look" so they aren't a completely custom survey. This is a small and minor point in a fan-freaking-tastic open source software that I cannot recommend enough. I have used other survey tools, such as Survey Monkey, and found Google Forms easier to use for both the survey maker and the respondent.

### "Great tool to get response by conducting surveys"

June 27, 2020

5.0

Using google forms makes it easy for me to conduct a survey and get people's opinions in the form of responses. Based on the filled responses taking decisions becomes very easy. It helps to understand responses, i.e people's opinion n the form of graphs, charts and one can also download it as google sheets. Overall a great tool with good UI but it has limited customization options.

Pros

User Interface is awesome. Easy to use, highly secured and it's a few minutes to learn all its functionalities. One can conduct surveys, get responses, and then take decisions accordingly. Many integrations are provided like we can connect google forms with Zapier, Slack, etc. Responses received can be viewed in the form of graphs, charts, and also one can download them in as Sheets, which really helps to make better decisions.

Cons

It requires a good internet connection to operate, I wish I could use it without a good internet connection. There should be more options to customize the forms.

### "Easiest way to capture information in a custom form"

April 19, 2020

4.0

Overall Google Forms has not been disappointing at all. I am satisfied with the level of freedom I have with this tool.

Pros

\- Live Collaboration - Ease of use - Customizable - Real time editable - Can be attached to Google Sheets for post processing of the form responses.

Cons

There are so many custom add ons that could be implemented with the Google Forms which would make the post processing of form responses much much easier.

### "Google Forms is Great for you Daily Form and Survey Needs"

August 22, 2020

5.0

I will use Google Forms anyday without any question.

Pros

I start using Google Form since 2012. I was excited to see such a great feature of Google Form. It is very easy to build the form and easy to deploy. No HTML coding, no Database connection, no need to host anywhere. It is right here in your Google Drive with all the form response. Moreover, nowadays it trending to use Google Form. Even large enterprises and small startup use Google From. And it's hugely acceptable and well known to end-user. With Google's brand name on it end-user feels very comfortable and relatable. It can seamlessly integrate with any website, web apps, or Mobile Apps. And there are hundreds of integration available using 3rd party apps like Zapper.

Cons

One cons i should say about its no possible trace form submission, from which source (web, social media, apps) it submitted not easy to understand.

Reason for choosing Google Forms

Its easy to use, its looks nice, its popular and its free.

### "Auto Grader"

November 25, 2020

5.0

Pros

I have used Google Forms for a long time. I love that they keep updating and adding new features. I use Google Forms to make quizzes, tests, daily work, quick checks, attendance, escape rooms, and more. I love that you can set it as a quiz so it will grade the paper for you. I also love that the grades import to Google Classroom which makes my job as a teacher even easier. It is easy to use, and not very time consuming to create an activity. I can attach it as an assignment on Google Classroom for my remote learners. It's a life saver for me when my work has doubled teaching remote and face-to-face learners simultaneously.

Cons

I would love it if you could assign each question a point value at one time instead of having to go through and set a point value to each question.

### "Easy to use and to share"

January 6, 2020

4.0

Great to use but personally I would use excel if you have the money to spare. It can compute and sharing the data with others is valuable, but excel's computing power is vastly superior.

Pros

Very easy to use and I like that I can have it on google drive so I can easily share it with others.

Cons

It is not as functional as Microsoft excel and doesn't have as many features, but this makes sense since this is free. It is a good free alternative.

Pros

Google forms allows me and my team to capture tons of information and access it from anywhere and we can all access one account.

Cons

### "Google Forms, a great option"

July 12, 2023

4.0

Pros

It is a very straightforward tool that allows you to create and manage surveys. I like that it has a very user friendly interface, which is comparable with other Google products. If you use it along Google workspace it is well integrated with other products such as Sheets and Drive.I've used it under the free account and its features are great, making it a very cost effective solution.

Cons

I would hardly criticize this as I used the free version, but the question logic is not as advanced as sometimes can be needed. It also has limited question types, but for simple surveys it is more than enough.

### "Google Forms makes intake a lot easier"

February 10, 2020

5.0

My company has used GSuite for years and years. My team uses Google Forms specifically as an intake mechanism for requesting learning support, be it financial or developmental. Once one of our forms is filled-in, I get an email notification telling me it's been filled-out, and a link is included to the responses Sheet. We then action the item manually.

Pros

Forms is simple to use, yet robust enough to make a lot of our intake processes dead simple and somewhat automated! I love that it is part of the GSuite that my company uses. Being able to simply capture the user's email address, gate forms so only people with our company emails can get to it, are both great features. My favourite thing is the output to google sheets makes it so simple to get to the results (especially with email notifications for new responses)

Cons

Minimalist level of visual customization is available. It would be great if there were more advance visual templates available.

### "Google Forms - Data Collection Made Easy "

November 13, 2019

5.0

At my workplace, we conduct training on a weekly basis. After the sessions we usually need feedback from the trainees. We create and share Google Form links and when they respond we get the information we need . Analyzing data helps us to know on the areas to improve to make the next training a success.

Pros

Google Forms have come to make the data collection work easier. Creating a google form is easier and offers someone several options. One can create multiple choice questions, those with radio buttons or open ended questions. Ones a form is created, the link is shared with people. The data collected is available in a google sheet which makes it easy to analyze in real time. If the respondent makes a mistake they have a chance to edit.

Cons

Customizing google forms is hard, the features offered to do so are limited therefore, one has to use it as it is. Apart from that, I don't have any complaint about this awesome software from Google.

### "Google forms doesn’t live up the hype"

October 17, 2021

I prefer to use power apps or power platform from Microsoft or Survey Monkey

Pros

Cons

### "Google Forms collects data in a limited way"

March 17, 2020

5.0

Overall, it's done what it was intended to do by the designers, it just hasn't done everything we needed it to do -- that is, in terms of flexibility and options for more advanced data collection. Overall, Google forms feels like an afterthought tacked on to Google sheets with no further thought toward feature development.

Pros

The ability to quickly set up an online form for data collection and feed a Google Sheets document is definitely a great feature.

Cons

Forms of even moderate complexity are difficult to create or impossible to create depending on certain arbitrary needs -- for example, you can't hide form fields from users based on permissions or role.

Reason for choosing Google Forms

We just used Google Forms because it came with our Google account. When we can't do without the more advanced options, we go with Wufoo, an excellent product, as well.

### "Does what I want"

June 9, 2020

5.0

I've used google forms to send out surveys To my customers after successful Kickstarter campaigns. I've used them to poll my most loyal repeat customers to see what products they'd be interested in my store carrying. I've used them for satisfaction surveys. You name it, I've used them for it. I know there are more powerful softwares out there, but I dont need that power yet so I havent made the jump yet.

Pros

Free. I can write multiple types of questions I can make things required I can include images almost seamlessly and even use animated gifs. I also get basic statistics on responses and can download them as a csv for manipulation later

Cons

Not the most powerful software, lacks some of the features premium/paid softwares have. Statistics are limited by the structure of your survey. No read reports like mailchimp

Alternatives considered

[Wufoo](https://www.capterra.com/p/224990/Wufoo/)

Reason for choosing Google Forms

Wufoo allows more customization, but I already use google ecosphere so I just stayed within that. I've considered using wufoo for more complex designed surveys and for their integration into payment gateways.

### "Great (free) tool to collect information"

October 6, 2020

5.0

Google Forms is my go to when I need to collect simple feedback/data with a short turnaround. I like that building a form is very intuitve and simple. Updating the form on the fly is a simple task as well. As it is integrated with the rest of the Google Suite of tools, it is very easy to use the data collected in realtime for dynamic reporting with Google Sheets. I would recommend Google Forms as a great tool to collect feeback/information especially if you are on a tight timeline.

Pros

Google Forms is a great, free tool to collect information from customers, colleagues, or anyone for that matter. It is easy to set up and deploy with a few clicks of the mouse. From simple to more complex forms, Google Forms competes with other "free" survey tools out there. It is possible to use skip logic and create multiple branches in your forms. Users can submit forms anonymously or you can require respondents to login.

Cons

While Google Forms is a great option for building free forms/surveys, there are some limitations. You are limited in styling the form beyond adding an image or changing the color scheme. You cannot do complex surveys to the extent you can with TypeForm or Gravity Forms.
