### "Great Option for a Startup"

May 2, 2026

4.0

I am happy with my overall experience with Google and Google Meet. I trust their products and I am grateful that it continues to get upgraded and expanded features.

Pros

I am grateful for the value for money option and the easy of setting up meetings. The background options are great - they look realistic and they're beautiful.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Google Meet is the random poor quality of the meeting, probably happening about 20% of the time.

Reason for choosing Google Meet

It was more expensive to go with Zoom and everyone seems to be familiar with Google Meet.

### "Perfect for smaller meetings"

March 16, 2026

5.0

Simply put I love it. It's perfect for quick meetings with my team and clients. Everything happens within the application without a lot of confusing menus.

Pros

Very easy to use and because it runs from your browser you don't get stuck outside your meeting while the app updates. Light and very smooth experience. Very simple controls and paired with a Google Workspace subscription you have a lot of controls of things you share within Meet.

Cons

Less participant control for the host as compared to other online meeting applications. Also there is no option for remote control of participant's screen. Works best if you have multiple screens but if you do this is perfect.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Google Meet

I use both Zoom and Meet however, Meet is preferrable for quick meeting for clients.

### "Google Meet is a free way to host video meetings and conferences/webinars!"

April 9, 2026

3.0

Pros

It's straightforward to use. The video and audio work fine, and it functions fine as a video conferencing software. There are virtual background options. It's free with a Google account, and there are no limitations to meeting times as far as I can tell. Sharing files within meetings is simple and easy.

Cons

It uses a lot of computer memory when running, so it can make older laptops run their fans to keep from overheating. Most people in the corporate world are used to Zoom by now, and Google Meet is not quite as robust.

### "Google Meet"

April 15, 2026

5.0

is a solid tool that does what it needs to without overcomplicating things. The tight integration with Google Workspace is genuinely convenient if you're already using those tools day to day. It's not perfect for every use case but for straightforward meetings it's dependable and easy enough that there's barely any learning curve.

Pros

The Google Calendar integration made joining meetings seamless since the link was always right there without having to search for it. The interface was clean and simple which made it easy to focus on the meeting itself rather than figuring out the tool. Connection quality was also consistently reliable even when my internet wasn't at its best.

Cons

Breakout rooms felt clunky and weren't as smooth to manage compared to other platforms I've used. The engagement options during larger calls were pretty limited and I found myself wishing there were more ways to interact. Background noise cancellation was also inconsistent and sometimes let through more than it should have.

### "Loyal Google Meet Customer!"

April 24, 2026

5.0

I started using Google Meet when Zoom got overwhelmed with new users in 2020. That platform had begun to glitch on me so I looked for something else that was affordable, user friendly and reliable. Google Meet served all my needs as a small business owner and helped keep my business flowing through the chaotic times of Covid and after I moved away from where the bulk of my clients' live.

Pros

Google Meet is beyond user friendly and supplies multiple functions for small business owners like myself. It's easily accessible and incredibly affordable!

Cons

There's actually nothing that I would change about this platform right now. It met all my needs and allowed me to continue serving my clients even when I moved 1 1/2 hours away AND during Covid!

### "Reliable and Simple Video Meetings for Everyday Use"

March 16, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Google Meet has been very positive. It is a dependable and straightforward tool for video meetings, especially for teams that already rely on Google Workspace. The platform focuses on simplicity and reliability, which makes it easy for users of all technical levels to participate in meetings without issues.

Pros

\- Very easy to join and host meetings - Strong integration with Gmail and Google Calendar - Stable video and audio quality - Simple screen sharing for presentations - Works well directly in the browser without installing software

Cons

\- Some background and visual customisation options are limited - Large meetings can feel harder to manage compared to other tools

### "Will Continue to Use!"

March 18, 2026

4.0

Overall, Google Meet is an incredible tool for being free with a Gmail account, it allows for quick and easy access, simple scheduling, and immediate availability (i.e. start a meeting now).

Pros

I love that Google Meet is universal. I can quickly and easily send a link to my client without them having to sign up for anything or overcomplicate the process. I appreciate that it has blurred background and enhancement options.

Cons

The one problem I have run into with Google Meet in the past is the sound cutting out. It has caused me to have to end calls multiple times, which is very frustrating in professional client meetings.

### "Can't make a meeting? Use Google Meet! "

March 24, 2026

5.0

Google meet is easy to use, and so convenient. Scheduling, privacy, and additional features like captioning options allow for productive virtual meeting spaces.

Pros

I love how Google Meet easily lets our admissions office meet with students virtually all over the Globe! Often, we need to conduct out of town student interviews, and Google meet allows us to meet potential students without the hassle of phone calls and travel. We are able to edit, and adjust meeting times with ease to help benefit everyone's schedules.

Cons

I really haven't found anything that is not user friendly. I am very pleased with the management and ease of use.

### "Google meet, the best way to remote work"

December 31, 2025

5.0

Fantastic experience from implementation to now. The end users seem to like this option much better than zoom, and we saved money in the log run too!

Pros

Google meet is super easy to use, never has bugs or issues, and the price is significantly lower than other options we had available. The screen share works perfectly and the latency is always low.

Cons

I don't really think we have any cons for google meet. If I had to pick something it would just be when hosting meetings for people outside the company who have not used it, they have to mess around for a moment to learn the interface.

### "Google? Uh-what? Let's Meet!"

December 4, 2025

4.0

Overall I can say that using Google Meet is easier than any other meeting options available in the market since this is a Google product known for integrating each product they put out to each other.

Pros

Google Meet is easy to navigate as long as you have an existing google account. It is also integrated in most third party applications used for work communications.

Cons

The Leave Meeting button is always mistakenly clicked when exiting from screen sharing. These happened to me multiple times and to my colleagues.

### "Best tool for online meetings. "

August 4, 2025

5.0

I've been using Google Meet for several years now, hosting several meetings every week, sometimes every day, without issues. I've never needed Customer Support and never dealt with any bugs or issues. It's really great. I especially love how easy it is to integrate with Google Calendars, confirm, and schedule meetings, even from your mobile.

Pros

Google Meet is my favorite meeting tool. It's free, easy to use, works better than other tools I've used, doesn't require additional app installations, provides great background options, and makes it easy to share screens, information, and files with the other participants during the meeting.

Cons

It's difficult to find faults. I like everything about it, from the friendly interface to the lovely backgrounds, intuitive menu, and streamline functioning.

### "Great, inexpensive platform!"

November 28, 2025

5.0

Overall, Google Meet has been a dependable tool for managing interviews, team check-ins, and remote onboarding. It keeps our hiring process running smoothly and reduces a lot of the friction that usually comes with virtual meetings. It’s not overly fancy, but it gets the job done and supports our HR operations in a simple, efficient way.

Pros

Google Meet makes scheduling and hosting virtual interviews super easy. It integrates smoothly with Google Calendar, which keeps our team organized and avoids double-booking. The video quality is usually reliable, and the platform is straightforward enough that even less tech-savvy candidates can join without issues. I also like that everything is browser-based, so there’s no app download barrier.

Cons

When the internet connection isn’t strong, the audio can get choppy and cause delays during interviews. The screen-sharing tools work, but they’re pretty basic, and sometimes it feels limited compared to other platforms. Breakout rooms would also be helpful for group interviews or onboarding sessions, but they’re not always intuitive to set up.

### "Not a formal interface but the best functionality "

January 2, 2026

5.0

We use this for all of our internal meetings and most of our external meetings. It has a brilliant record function, a chat function, and it almost never glitches, which is why it is a turnkey solution for us.

Pros

Wow, everything was Google just works better, there’s a bit of a casual feeling to the interface which makes it seem less professional than teams, but the functionality is way better. They’re almost never glitches or issues with admitting people.

Cons

I think the fact that it looks less professional in the interface is a bit of a drawback, but everything else is better than Microsoft teams

### "Simple, Stable, and Great for Remote Teams"

July 5, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Google Meet has been smooth and reliable. It’s easy to use, requires no installation, and works well across devices. I’ve used it for both personal and professional calls, and it consistently delivers good video and audio quality.

Pros

Simple and seamless experience. I love how easy it is to join a meeting—just click a link and you're in, no need to download software. The integration with Google Calendar is super handy, and the video/audio quality is reliable even with average internet

Cons

The in-call chat is basic and doesn’t persist after the meeting ends, which makes it hard to refer back to shared links or comments.

### "Simplicity and ease save time, and in business, time is everything."

June 3, 2025

5.0

I am very pleased with the ease of use. I can quickly create and join all internal and external meetings.

Pros

As an agency, we use Google Meet for all our internal and external meetings. Easy interface, ability to quickly create a meeting with the client and easily access via a link. Also, when we accept the meeting with an automatic email, the event is automatically created with all the information on the Google calendar. Simply change the background in video meetings.

Cons

Especially in Europe, since some brands use Teams, it can be difficult for the client to hold a meeting in Google Meet because all the settings are default. As a recommendation: It can automatically detect the settings in similar meeting applications and suggest these settings even when logging in for the first time, which provides ease of use.
