As the number of attendees increases, the screen view does not accommodate them well and there are not a lot of features like a whiteboard to help with presentation. Pros After using zoom through the pandemic, we needed a cheaper and less restrictive option. Google Meet is free for what we need and super easy to use! Cons There are fewer online meeting features with Google Meet as compared to other online platforms and viewing many people is tough. Pros What I like most about Google Meet when it comes to value for money, customer support, ease of use, bigs and issues, background options, participant management and webinars is that it is free and intuitive for users. The convenience of Google Meets being compatible across platforms, having real time captions and an AI tools to capture the information from a meeting. Cons What I like least about Google Meets is that there are limited features with teh free Google Meets account. Cons The time limitation of 60 minutes on free the free tier was the most disgusting thing ever but I can’t complain since my organization upgraded to a paid version (Business Standard) which meets all my needs. It's a great, lightweight, free meeting tool that you can use both for personal meetings as an alternative to Skype/Whatsapp, as well as for business meetings. Pros Love that it's free, and there are a ton of options, even on the free plan. Easy to use, it's lightweight, and I love that people can easily join from a mobile device. If you have people joining from a bunch of different types of devices, this is a lot easier to use than Zoom. It also allows you to share your screen. Cons The free plan doesn't allow Gemini to record meetings. I use an external notetaker, but it would be nice to have Gemini integrated. Additionally, it allows screen sharing... but you can't take control of someone else's computer! Google Meet, we're waiting for that feature! It is and has always been my go to online meeting software. I would definitely recommend! Pros I like being able to choose the various backgrounds and effects. It centres you in the screen and also brightens up your face if you are in a dark room. I don’t always have ideal lighting in my room so that helps. I also appreciate the ease of signing on whether on my laptop or my phone and regardless of a short notice meeting. I also like the screen sharing options and have used it in the past to record my presentations. Cons It overheats my laptop unfortunately. I think it might be screen-in-screen feature but I don’t like turning it off. It makes it so conviennent to be working on other tasks when in a meeting while making sure I am keeping on top of what the other attendees are saying/doing. Another thing I don’t like is that not all of the external attachements work in Google Meet and there is no troubleshooting available. I tried using Guul with my friends but it didn’t work. It been more than 5 years now that I have been using it to do online meetings both at work and at home. Pros I like the instant chat feature. I so much love as google meet is so easy to do online meeting with people. I like the fact that google meet doesn’t consume much data as zoom does. I haven’t experienced bugs problems so far. I so much love the availability of background options. It has a great value for money. Cons There is no con for google meet from me for now as most of its features are working well for me. Have also used Zoom and find Google Meet more user friendly. Pros It works well for me, and is my go to for all my online meetings. The camera generally works well and the ability to share my screen, along with the chat function, which I use most regularly. Cons Sometime the camera doesnt work and it has required me to restart my PC to get it working. I would also like to record the meeting which isnt possible.
