The primary benefit of this software is that it transforms unreadable raw data into genuine decision-making tools. It allows me to see clearly through my numbers and steer my projects based on pure facts.

Pros

I spend hours every week on Microsoft Excel to manage budgets and analyze substantial volumes of quantitative data. It is an absolute powerhouse. Its functional depth has absolutely no equal on the market. Pivot tables, complex formulas, and advanced charts allow me to model complex financial scenarios with surgical precision. Once you master its keyboard shortcuts, you gain an incomparable speed of execution.

Cons

The flip side of the coin is its extremely steep learning curve. For a beginner, the interface can look terrifying and austere. Moreover, unlike Google's cloud alternative, real-time collaboration within the classic desktop app can still feel rigid and generate version conflicts.

I don't think I will use another spread sheet software. it is so ingrained into business that it would be very hard to switch

Pros

Gold Standard for spread sheets. No spreadsheet is easy to learn but excel is well documented. Most bugs are related to 3rd party plugins. Very stable software.

Cons

Collab work feels limited in comparison to other offerings. Learning curve is steep. Younger suers may not like it.

Excel has been a core tool in how we operate as a construction company. From estimating and budgeting to tracking job performance and reporting, everything runs through it. It’s extremely powerful and flexible once you build out your systems, but it requires structure and discipline to keep everything organized. Overall, it’s a reliable and essential tool that gives us full control over our data and workflows

Pros

All mine and my teams reports flow through excel. Its a great value add as part of the microsft bundle

Cons

Its complex for a new user to start out. Even myself who can do use Macros have only scratched the surface of its full potential.

I've used Microsoft Excel daily for the past 12+ years to document assets inventory, network ip addresses, group members, etc.

Pros

Microsoft Excel makes it easy to build inventory, reports, and also document/calculate data. I also like the ability to create and upload formulas to assist with automating results from data that's inputted.

Cons

One thing I dislike about Microsoft Excel is that large spreadsheets often times slows downs computers because it uses a significant amount of RAM on Windows laptops. In order to resolve, most times you have to either restart your computer or see if there is an add-in enabled that is causing the issue.

I regularly use Excel for organizing sales data, tracking performance metrics, analyzing reports, and managing business information. Once you learn the core functionality and some of the more advanced features, Excel becomes a powerful tool for data analysis, reporting, forecasting, and overall business productivity.

Pros

I like using Excel for its versatility and ability to handle everything from simple data tracking to advanced analysis and reporting. Whether I'm organizing prospect lists, tracking sales activities, building reports, or analyzing data on a spreadsheet, Excel provides the flexibility to customize spreadsheets exactly how I need them. I also like using the different features like formulas, pivot tables, filtering, conditional formatting, and charts. I also like how well it integrates with other products within Microsoft 365.

Cons

As spreadsheets become larger, it can sometimes be difficult to keep data organized and easy to navigate. I would like to see more intuitive ways to structure and visualize large datasets, particularly when working with extensive rows, columns, and multiple tabs.
