### "Excel is the spreadsheet system to learn and use!"

April 10, 2026

5.0

Pros

The best spreadsheet platform, has been the system to use for decades. Super customizable, easy to use once you learn it, and navigating the settings and features is pretty straightforward. Works well on computers, laptops, and mobile. It's a little expensive to buy the full Microsoft licensing, but worth it.

Cons

It's so full of features, it's like using a chess set to play checkers if you're not doing anything overly complicated.

Microsoft Excel is a fantastic product that helps with organization and compiling data at all levels.

Pros

The streamlined functionality of the product and how compact the user interface is make it a breeze to use.

Cons

Formulas can be clunky, at times, but there are usually ways around this issue by using various tools integrated in the product.

### "My Go-To for anything IT"

June 2, 2025

5.0

Love it. It is my favorite Microsoft product and I don't go a single day without using it. I usually have it open and Minimized

Pros

Excel is my lifeline for anything at work. Need a form? Excel. Need logs? Excel. Need inventory? Excel. I use it for everything. Formatting is very easy and I prefer Excel over Word.

Cons

Some functions that I would think to be simple take some repeat in depth struggles. I have noticed it having a hard time opening on some PCs lately.

### "Microsoft Excel 10/10"

November 18, 2025

4.0

Good experience. I use it often to sort data and share with others or to keep spreadsheets for myself. As ell as tracking spending.

Pros

Easy navigation, nice template options, great mobile device compatibility and good value for money. Great way to organize data and share amongst coworkers. Lots of great personalization options.

Cons

Microsoft Excel hasn’t changed much over the years. Could use some updating and maybe a chart to help people find all the different tools that can be used and how to find them.

### "Excel Review"

Excel is a powerful, versatile tool for data management, analysis, and visualization, ideal for small to medium-sized projects and widely accessible.

Pros

Suitable for small personal projects to large-scale business applications, with support for thousands of rows and columns.

Cons

Large or complex Excel files can become corrupted, potentially leading to data loss without proper backups.

### "One of the most powerful tools every person could use - Excel"

June 26, 2025

5.0

I love Excel. It is an extremely powerful tool. I'm a beginner user but have learned enough to be dangerous. It is a tool that every person who does anything with data should learn how to use.

Pros

Versatility. If you know how to code, you can make Excel do everything except tie your shoe. It can look good, perform well, gather information out of a list of data that is second to none.

Cons

It can do EVERYTHING. But, you have to know the code. It is typical of Microsoft to make an app do many things, most of which the average user does not need. Finding exactly what you need, the individual would need a dictionary created by Microsoft to give you an understanding of what each code would do, when you would use it, how you would use it.

### "Solid universal data tool"

August 21, 2025

5.0

Most commonly used tool across different teams with different level of technical and non-technical status.

Pros

Compared to other available tools, it is more universally accepted form of sharing data and opening csv files. Allows huge number of lines (+1 million) process vs. other tools that would crash when ~10k!

Cons

I believe the UI could be better to navigate through different sections. Also, while data is filtered, it does not allow easy copy and pasting of values for just those filtered rows.

### "I’m glad about it "

July 24, 2025

4.0

I used to use it a long time ago for spreadsheets, tracking expenses, analysing data, like a real database for me. I'm glad I spent so much time using it, and all the basics I learned there help me a lot today.

Pros

I like that it's dynamic for any use, simple if we want or complex when needed. Also the possibility to add data without having to convert unsupported formats first.

Cons

It's not evident to say it's easy to use. I'm not talking about creating columns and putting data in, but when we want to go a bit further than that.

### "Excel for your data"

December 19, 2025

4.0

Overall, Excel has been easy to use and we use it a lot in both of finance and HR departments for things like benefits administration and sales data.

Pros

I like that Excel is very user friendly and and easy to navigate. There are endless things you can do with the cells and it is definitely helpful in our finance department.

Cons

Sometimes some of the formulas get a little wonky and you have to play with things to get it to do what you need it to do but overall it's easy fixes and only happens periodically.

Pros

I like the easy touse features for data analysis, chart creation, and formulas that we use on our day to day work

Cons

I found it to be very slow when working with very large files, therefore time-consuming since you have to wait for it to respond

Pros

Excel helps me with a lot of data entry. It is easy to use and has many functions that allow me to produce the results I need in order to be successful.

### "Excel it! 30 stars for each year of use"

May 16, 2025

5.0

It's almost always opened, and in use. It's part of too many management tasks in my life, which makes it simply essential.

Pros

I can't pick just one thing that comes to mind, having used it for the last 30 years. Maybe the fact that mastering it I can use any other alternative tool, when asked. But it's always my number one choice.

Cons

Nothing, maybe the csv management, I prefer using some competitors' apps. Back in the days maybe there were some flaws, you could adjust with some VBA.

### "It's the standard!"

April 25, 2026

5.0

It's the OG and you've got to respect it. Life would be much, much more difficult without it and it's used internationally without issue. Pleased with it's features and usefulness.

Pros

It's the standard. Everyone uses Excel to some extent, it's simple in format but you can get very detailed and for less savvy users there are great templates and tutorials out there.

Cons

It can be expensive for a small business when needing to use Excel and other Microsoft products but it's not outrageously so.

### "Excel is a very productive tool to use for calculating large amounts of data."

March 10, 2025

5.0

Overall, I love using Excel for completing large amounts of calculations quickly. I use it for comparing lists of information as well, to compare if two columns are the same or not. The excels can be edited also, which I like, since that helps me organize my data.

Pros

I use this Microsoft product the most during work hours. This is due to the many calculations I need to do for tasks. I also use it to compare lists by using different formulas from online. This product is a very convenient tool for more efficiency and saves a lot of time.

Cons

I don't like when I copy and paste data from another website, it pastes incorrectly at times due to the formatting. However, I fix the pasted data by adjusting the information manually. And its also not much of an issue since there are different ways to paste the information and it can be changes as needed.

### "Microsoft Excel Review"

January 15, 2026

5.0

I loved Microsoft excel and I still use it today to budget my money and finances, so I know where my money is going and when

Pros

The excel Spreadsheet and budgeting items let you create view, edit, and share certain charts and files that you create yourself.

Cons

What I did not like the most was the fact that you are not able to control when the spreadsheet would do the calculations and it was hard to figure out how those calculations were done.

Cons

It can be a bit confusing at times but that is if you are not the best at making a data sheet. It’s still really nice to have if you are computer smart!

Cons

### "Underrated Power"

June 24, 2025

5.0

I have used it extensively for 20 years+. Honestly it feels like a gateway into programming, with an introduction to variables and formulas.

Pros

I love how you can do almost anything with it from simple list making through to building calculators and dashboards.

Cons

I prefer the desktop version to the cloud offering. The cloud version is catching up but for power users there are still bits missing, namely VBA

### "My experience with Excel"

January 22, 2025

5.0

A pretty good one, I've done all kind of works with excel and there have been very few times that I have felt like there was a problem with excel and not something that I didn't know how to do.

Pros

How simple it is to use, super user oriented in a way that everything is easy to find and use.

Cons

That sometimes you can face collaboration challenges given how in today's world other tools are better at that

Cons

### "Excel Review"

February 19, 2025

5.0

Overall Excel is my preferred spreadsheet system, I use this platform almost daily for work and personal agendas.

Pros

The universal adoption of excel makes this my preferred method of sharing structuring information and managing logistics. I love the collaboration aspects and ease of adoption.

Cons

I think that when working with larger data sets in a data analysis context this is an inferior product to other offerings. Additionally, the differences between Macbook excel and windows is absurd and adds to user confusion. I highly wish that excel has universal shortcuts and additional extensions for Mac Excel.

Switched from
