Pros Simple to use solution that can be easily implemented through the utilisation of data models in a faster manner. The ease of learning and mastering the solution compared to competing products has made it easier to get IT professionals in other domains to master the product. The drag and drop interfaces enables easier creation of reports and dashboards by users with limited expertise in the product. Cons We are having challenges when importing larger volumes of data into the platform in the free version where subscriptions are required. The export of reports to standard formats a bit challenging in the perspective of designing specially with the addition of visuals, animations and or customisations. Thus, while I use Power Bi on desktop for creating reports, I rely on the cloud based deployment for sharing and distributing dashboards , and for collaboration with team members. Cons Sharing dashboards with persons outside of my organization, through a login is a very cumbersome process within Power Bi. Pros Power BI allows users to create their own customized visuals. I am allowed to create and customize visual options which meet specific industry and organizational needs. This ability that Power BI provides, to implement and design proprietary and custom data visualizations , unique to my organization , is what I like the most. Cons I describe Microsoft Power BI as very rigid, in terms of integrating it with non-Microsoft applications and third party data sources. La versión gratuita tiene características muy limitadas y no da el real alcance que puede dar el software, claro que esto se puede solucionar actualizando de la versión gratuita a una de pago.
