It is a great upgrade if you are used to taking Excel exports and creating pivot tables each time you want to manipulate data. Cons Power BI can be a bit hard to learn when first starting. We did a couple of training courses which helped, but ideally you need to get a good use case with actual data you can spin into a report. Pros PBI is one of the best tools for Business Intelligence, given its ease of use, its cost (free, excluding PBI service), and its learning curve, which makes it very suitable for someone with no prior technical experience to use and navigate easily. Has a good and easy-to-understand UI and supports a lot of data input methods, practically every source possible, and the PBI service allows for automating a lot of reports as well. Cons The customizability of the charts isn't as rich as in Excel or Tableau, and you need to understand how to model the data if you're dealing with multiple datasets and build relationships between them accordingly.
