Other products like Tableau and Qlik have their advantages, but I'm hard pressed to find much fault with Power BI, other than the premium licenses being ridiculously expensive. The word is Microsoft is addressing that issue later in 2020/2021. Pros The features and ease of creating visualizations are top notch. Also integration with all other Microsoft products as well as pre-built connectors to many of the most popular software is hard to beat. Cons There are many features not available unless you pay for expensive premium capacity. Per la mia conoscenza sul prodotto è sicuramente da consigliare a chi desidera in autonomia elaborare dashboard e cruscotti gestionali anche complessi su base dati comunque aperte e, meglio, in ambiente MS. L'interfaccia con un ERP lo vedo più complesso, e per questa ragione l'uso che ne faccio è strettamente personale e limitato alla mia base dati professionale. It is user-friendly and easy to pick up. Through Power BI, we were able to attain increased productivity and efficiency on some of our processes. Pros It is able to take in multiple data sources and churn out reports in a visually pleasant form for ease of viewing. It greatly improves efficiency when we do not have to resort to using Excel to generate the exact data model we want. The ability to utilize SQL Server Analysis Services for our needs is very welcomed. I especially like the user-friendly interface that Power BI provides. Cons There are some segments and features of Power BI that requires a good amount of time to figure out. To utilize Power Bi effectively, the data has to be cleaned beforehand as Power Bi does not provide such tools.
