Pros Power BI allows us to combine data from other sources into a single view. The view can be adjusted in many ways to suit your needs. We have used Power BI to track bid process for new work, current customer revenue and cost plus sales forecasting. Pros If you know how to use Power BI, there isn't much you can't do with the Excel/Power BI combo. It is very powerful. What makes it great and distinguish from other BI tools, is Power Query. So you can get and transform the data very easy. Cool graphs. Easiest tool (among other BI tools) Great to be used online Great support for maps (coming soon, still in beta version) Cons It has a lot of room to improve. The customization is minimum for graphs. It has capacity to make visuals with complex data and information. Likewise, it can take data from different sources without issue. It requires some time to become acclimated to it however I think it's worth it. Pros I liked most getting data easily from various data sources. Also, visuals created looks nice. Compability with Excel is also a plus. Cons When I use for the first time , it looks a bit complicated but then learning process was fast. After you get used to it , there is not any problem. Pros I like that Power BI can make wonderful visuals from my data, it can go beyond normal bar and pie charts. Enjoy that it there is no complications with the data from Excel. Cons I would prefer if there was a suggestion mode of how to visualize the data, at time I am not very sure how to best present it.
