It will generate a public link for the files, and i can use it and sent to the recipient directly for them to download the files. Cons One of improvement that i thing will benefit us is, adding a password to the link that are generated, so only people with the password can have an access to the files and downloading it. For now, we have to be very careful with the link and not easily share it with stranger or accidentally leaking the link. Pros We use Wetransfer Pro almost every day multiple times and it never failed us. In our line of work, it's one of our most used tools. Transferring files used to be so troublesome (either having to have your client/peer bring their own hard drive, giving them yours, etc). But now, it's one of the easiest things to do. Pros I love WeTransfer! It is such a great emailing tool if you work with large files and need to transfer them to clients/peers/coworkers! It has the largest email capacity over Dropbox, Gmail, Yahoo, Box, etc. It's super easy to use, just drag and drop your files, and put in the email you want to send to and after it loads it's done! It even tells you that the email was delivered, and when your files were downloaded. You can even decide when to remove your files if needed so no one can download them anymore. Cons Honestly the only con I can think of is sometimes the preview doesn't load an image (for example, if you send 20 large photos it might not preview all 20). But that only happens every so often. Pros I work in apparel design, I was introduced to this site by a \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] for file sharing. First, it's free, no need to purchase anything. Second, I was impressed I could share a very large textile print file so easily with co-workers during WFH. In the past I was using a Google link and uploading to my Google drive but I found it tedious. This was easy as creating an account and verifying it. After you can then begin transferring all types of files to co-workers all over the world. They in turn receive a link and can download upon receipt, the recipient does not need to register. No zip required, just download and ready to use. Cons The biggest Con can be easily solved if you pay for the service. If you use the "free" service, you must download the file, save it to your computer. There is a time limit on the link sent in email and you could lose your information if you dont save the file. Sometimes, while file sharing Ill receive an error message and cannot send. Usually, I just open another browser to solve. Cons I understand that sending large files can take up a lot of space on the servers for WeTransfer, but when you have clients that take forever to download their files, having links that expire after 7 days can be problematic. Pros The most amazing thing about WeTransfer is the simple and intuitive interface which serves one main purpose - to get you to upload your files and send them right away - something you came to them for in the first place. Minimalistic design + super useful functionality, this is what makes WeTransfer stand out from the rest of the similar platforms. Cons The delete-after-one-week rule is too short. September 14, 2021 5.0 Pros You can send practically any file through WeTransfer and there's no issue with deliverability because "attachments are too big." I use it all of the time when sending design files, video files, etc. To make it even better, WeTransfer sends you an email when the files were delivered and when the files were opened by the person receiving them. Cons The only negative would be that the files do expire. However, they give you plenty of time to open them and save them to your computer. If they expired within hours or a couple of days, it would be different but they give you a couple of weeks. Not once have I ever had an issue. It is unpractical to manage it with just shares in a network or cloud repository. We transfer is the electronic version of a courier, with storage and a very nice UI. I can count on it. Pros Easy, quick, no frills, reliable. Transfer is quick. keeping storage and reuse it is very useful. Cons I would like to have a little more transfer size in the free segment. Pros It’s the best software to use in comparison with an email, skype, viber etc because we transfer limit is 2 gb. That means a lot for us since we are working with high quality pictures, videos and 3D interactive tours. And I have to point out that all of this is free. Our clients also really like this app. Another plus is that there is no need to make an account. Our full team using this for file sharing. The upload and download speed is good as well. Pros The most amazing part of WeTransfer is I can share up-to 2GB files for free. I can upload a single file and even can share the full folder as well. The sharing system has two phases, one is I can share the file link and secondly I can share with their email too. Cons WeTransfer delete the files after 7 days from the last download time. This is very scary! There are huge chances to lost the valuable data if someone leave it for few days without downloading in every 5/6 days! I use it weekly when sending files for my audible podcast. Pros I fully enjoy using Wetransfer. Its inexpensive & FREE (depending on which version you choose). Its great software to share large audio or video files. I love that it sends you “sent” emails so you know the file was sent. WeTransfer also documents for you when you sent files & helps keep it organized. Cons Only con is if you arent using the paid version you are limited on your file sharing. Pros WeTransfer could not be easier to use! It is the answer to sharing important documents with clients that are too large to send over basic email. Also, there is also no real commitment when using WeTransfer, which allows any one to create or receive documents quickly and without hassle. Cons There are very few things I dislike about WeTransfer. There is a limited amount of storage on the free account, so eventually you may have to pay for an account, but even that is low cost. As a video editor I am constantly having to send large video files back and forth and WeTransfer is SO easy to use. I like that you can decide to send a link or just a direct email. I also like that it will notify you when someone has used your link. So they can't get away with acting like they haven't received it yet because you have proof! Cons The only drawback is that I wish you could send even LARGER files. It's 2G for the free version, and up to 20G at a time. Which is a ton, but sometimes I'd like a little bit more. Pros I've been looking everywhere for a way to transfer large files and WeTransfer is definitely the best software I have found so far. It is free and very easy to use. Within seconds, I am able to send documents, pictures and presentations to friends and coworkers. Cons Although the free version is great and super easy to use, it does have some limitations such as the files expire after a few days, which can be a bit annoying. You basically have to download the files that you receive right away or it will be gone. I never had any complaints from my clients that they can't download files or that link is not working. Some of them that used it for the first time with me even complimented it and mentioned they will use it in the future as well. Pros I loved how easy it is to use and even more, how you can share a direct link with the client to be able to download the shared files, without having to check their email. Being able to upload and share large files is a huge plus. Cons I can't think of anything that I didn't like. I would highly recommend it. I then began using it at work to send large files to coworkers for things that did not need to go on a public shared drive but were too large to zip and send via email. I have worked with coworkers at a previous job who were not very tech savvy at all, and they still loved when I sent files via WeTransfer. Pros I love that this site is so easy to use. You can send to users who don't have accounts and they can still easily download without creating one. The site will send email updates to people on both sides of the transaction to notify them when a deadline for downloading is approaching and if they have opened the files yet. This is so helpful! I also love that this product can be used for free. While there are size limits, you can just send multiple emails. That being said, it holds enough where you can send lots of large files in just 2-3 emails. Cons With the latest update, users now have to be logged in and verify with a code before sending files. August 6, 2019 5.0 We use WeTransfer for video auditions on a daily basis; I also use WeTransfer for designs and large PDF and Adobe files. I don't know how I ever worked without it. Pros WeTransfer is a hassle-free way to send large files to clients/friends/family without having to deal with Dropbox, Google Drive, or other online servers. It also notifies you when your files have been delivered, AND when they've been downloaded...so you can send follow-up emails to people if file downloads are time-sensitive. Cons If you only have the free version, you can only upload up to 2GB worth of files, and you can only email to 3 email addresses at a time; that being said, 2 GB is still pretty sizable, and you can always send as many wetransfers as possible. I do wish that that the files were available for an unlimited amount of time, but they do allow for 30 days for download, so it's still a good amount of time to download the files.
