December 16, 2021 5.0 I had difficulties sharing large photo and video files since emails all have a small file limit. WeTransfer makes all my transfers easy! Pros There is a 2GB maximum file limit for each free transfer, even if you don't have an account. I use this to send my clients files all the time and they don't even need an account! My favourite thing is that I am also notified when they have downloaded the files so I know that they've been able to access it. Cons I wish that there was the option to include a password/key for files shared via link so that only people who are given the password can access it. Pros This is one of most easy-to-use and useful softwares out there. No account required, just drag and drop your files and enter your email and the recipient's email and you're finished. I've been using this software for over 4 years and I can't recommend it enough. Cons There is a limit on the amount of files you can send without a paid account, but that's barely a con. I love its ease of use and above all that it is accessible to any user without advanced knowledge of technology. Cons The only negative of this product is the bad management of the internet in low speed connections, because it causes the download of the file to stop repeatedly or even an error occurs and it is necessary to download the entire file again from the beginning. The software is straightforward and easy to use. Highly recommend. Pros I like how simple and straightforward the WeTransfer software is. I put in my email, my recipient's email, and I attach and send the file. Simple! Cons The seven-day file expiration isn't a big deal most of the time, but occasionally I will have to send a file a second time when a recipient doesn't open and download the file within the allotted week. You can literally power a computer for the first time and you would be able to share large files online with another person. It is that simple to use. Plus the size of the files that you can share is literally unmatched. Cons I don\`t think there\`s anything that i don\`t like. Pros Where were we without wetransfer? I can't tell you how helpful this program has been for me and my work! We always need to send out large files and PDF's and it's a LIFESAVER. And you can just grab a whole bunch of files and load them at once! No need to compress them to one single file or anything. It's amazing. Cons I wish they offered a bigger upload size. Pros I use WeTransfer consistently for a quick and easy way to pass .WAV files back and forth between myself and clients. The upload speeds are fast, and it emails directly to myself and the client. I love that it lets you enter in a few quick details, select your files, and let it upload. I'm also a big fan of the rotating artwork that displays while you're uploading your files. I've been introduced to several visual artists this way. Cons I'm disappointed that they removed the drag and drop ability, I preferred it over clicking through the file hierarchy to select the files I want to upload. Would be nice to control how long the expiry period lasts. No knowledge/encrypted uploads would also be nice to protect privacy. Review Source Vinayak S. It should not be mandatory to buy the premium membership so that the download link never expires. Pros It makes it easy to share photos and information with many people at the same time. It does not limit anyone in terms of space or the number of pictures one can share with family, friends, and clients. It has really been helpful in data transfer. My job boils down to being able to deliver my files in a way that is not only easy for me but more importantly, easy for my clients. I would highly recommend. Pros What I liked most about this site is that I was able to do everything right from the website. Drag and drop files, click and go. It's easy and hassle free, which is a huge plus when transferring larger files which is something I do on a daily basis as a graphic designer. It also allows the recipient to simply click on the download link in their email and you don't have to worry about making sure they have an account with another file sharing site. Cons With WeTransfer, file transfer is free which is a wonderful option. However, in order to control how long your download will be available or if you want to password protect your transfer, you need to purchase the We Plus package. This is a small issue for me, as the paid membership isn't much and the benefits are pretty awesome. WeTransfer makes it simple and I have a record of when they downloaded the file. If they lose it and need it again, it is simple to access the archive (Plus version only) and resend. This is a huge timesaver! Pros The ability to send gigabytes of files to clients is certainly wonderful. But the ability to know that they have (or have not) downloaded them is very valuable for creative professionals (and I suppose any business that uses large design docs.) When using pro, you can send files up to 20GB and can customize the download page to provide a unique, branded experience. Cons I’m disappointed they don’t have an enterprise version that will let us manage multiple users and files sent company-wide. Not one person has came back with anything negative to say about it. I am so happy and so relieved to finally find a way to send my large files and send them securely. Pros WeTransfer is one of the best products to date for sending large files and to send any file securely to another individual through email. I was so tired of getting the dreaded error message: file is too large or file has exceeded the allowable size. Finally I can send large files and not only that they are secure. I have yet to send anythimng that is too large. The receiver also gets a personalized experience from WeTransfer that notifies them of the file being sent and from who with instructions on how to download and reply. The software is intuitive and without needing any tutorials, I've always been able to navigate the tool efficiently and have yet to find myself "stuck" and googling "how to..." It's kept my workflow streamlined and uninterrupted. Also love the expiration feature when it comes to sharing documents as I'd often found myself using WeTransfer for document sharing external of our company. Cons My only real negatives about the software would be when I used the Pro version I was not able to extend the expiration of a document(s) after I'd already shared them. It seemed like that would be a feature the tool would have but I was unsuccessful. And other than that uploading speeds and complications sometimes. Differently from other companies cloud storage, We transfer works as a courier instead of a storage place. It takes your file, advises the recipient(s) it's available, makes several attempts for them to download and once it's delivered it gets DELIVERED. We transfer doesn't keep the file. Which avoids all the bull with buying more storage etc etc. Pros Really easy to use. It takes care of all communications - Advises the sender when is available to be downloaded by the recipient, it advises the recipient when its available.
