We have tried to use similar platforms, but they just don't compare to the ease of using Wetransfer. We receive and send confidential auditions everyday and I feel secure using Wetransfer. My favorite feature is the detailed list of files you have sent and those that are still in need to be transferred. This feature helps keep me organized when we are downloading hundreds of auditions. I also love that he saves my previous send addresses. This makes sending files fast and accurate. Pros In my industry we receive and send large files all day. Knowing that your computer is safe from viruses is invaluable. The safety associated with Wetransfer.com is the biggest pro in my opinion. Cons What I like least about this product others love. I'm not a fan of the tracking of the file you send and the notifications when it hasn't been downloaded. I find this feature to not always be accurate and it causes me a lot of headaches in having to explain this to my actors. The privacy focus is fantastic, but the 2GB size limit can be an issue when working with larger file types like videos. Pros For some time now, WeTransfer has allowed users to send files without having an account, or even giving out your email address. It's hidden a bit, but you can still do it. You don't get notification when the recipient downloads what you sent, but the possibility of sending files without compromising privacy is extremely appealing, and one of the main reasons I choose WeTransfer. It's also used everywhere, so everyone knows what to do when they get a link. Cons The biggest gripe I have with WeTransfer is the 2GB limit. There is a plethora of competitors who offer up to 20GB in file transfers. For most uses that isn't a problem, but if you're trying to send videos (which as a person in entertainment, I tend to do a lot), it can be extremely limiting. I personally appreciate and like this application as it regularly helps in my business. Strongly recommend WeTransfer. Pros WeTransfer is one of the most user friendly and trusted application to me. The mostly liked features of this application are data security, easy file sharing, secured storage, password protected sharing and availability in handset as well as in computer. Even though there is a 1-week expiry of a WeTransfer link on the free version, this 7-day period is a fair enough time for the receiver to open the link with the attached files. WeTransfer also notifies me when users open or not a link, which is great to track the link activity. For these many reasons, my experience with WeTransfer is good and I can easily recommend it to anyone. Pros What I like the most about WeTransfer is the easiness to use this platform, as it is very intuitive and has a very user-friendly interface. I often use this software when I need to send larger files that can't be sent via email, regarding its storage limitations. WeTransfer works just as an email, since I can create a message to send together with the files theirself. It really comes very in handy! Cons What I like the least about this software is the transfers' 1-week expiry for the receiver, on the free version. Of course that more features come with a price and this is one the those cases. Other than that, I don't have any more negative points to mention about this very software. I also didn't face any issues or difficulties whatsoever while using WeTransfer. Like I said, it's an incredibly easy app to use. I work in a Communications department at a small college, and considering how much we do for other departments in the college, this app lets us finish those tasks swiftly and easily. Pros It's. Stupid. Easy. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to drag your files, type the recipients and your email (for the receipt of delivery), and send them to your team members. My team collaborators use Microsoft Outlook while I don't—I'm a contractor with no access to a company email—and Outlook has a size limit and strict virus tracker; it makes it difficult for me to send them completed designs and documents. WeTransfer, although their emails may go to a separate folder, helps me send said files with ease. Cons Nothing really. I was going to mention probably their size limit, but I don't use it enough nor deliver large enough files to suffice to subscribe to WeTransfer Plus. Cons The time limit to keep a document can require you to send the same file twice if the recipient is out of office for an extended period of time but that rarely happens. Reason for choosing WeTransfer I like the fact that whomever opens your files triggers a notification on your end so that you can communicate further and try to close a deal. It’s a key feature for me because you do not want to pressure your upcoming customers with emails when you’re not sure so receiving a notification makes you confident in your communication. Pros I absolutely love WeTransfer. I've used it for over 2 years, and it's so easy and quick. I love how simple the design is, when you access the homepage, you don't have to click anywhere, the uploader is right in front of your eyes and ready to use. It takes just a few steps to upload files and send them to your recipient. It's straightforward and clear. You can send various files at the same time. I've been using it to transfer big, and important files to clients, it's secure and it's free to use. I believe there is an upgraded version, more pro - but honestly you can just use the regular and free version and works just as excellent. The main page where you upload your files is so interactive and fun, the background changes every time. The Help Center is really detailed and informative - and you can easily contact support by submitting a request if you have a question, a claim or a comment. I recommend this software. November 29, 2021 5.0 We use WeTransfer to send us large video files from a mobile device to a PC or Laptop. Having a good connection, loading and unloading takes little time and is very comfortable. In times of pandemic, we used WeTransfer a lot for all those who could not go to the office and worked remotely. Pros WeTransfer is a sensational, simple, and user-friendly tool. It cuts to the chase and delivers on what it promises. It allows you to share files of up to 2GB (in its free version) with anyone and from any device. The loading speed (although it depends on the internet of each one) is notoriously high. Cons If there is something missing from WeTransfer, it would be to have a mobile app for Android. Although it exists in the iOS AppStore, and the browser version is quite well optimized for mobile, the lack of an Android app would be a negative point to highlight. In its free version, it only allows uploading up to 2GB, and the download is stored for a couple of days (then it is removed from the cloud). The price of its version is not high for what it offers. I vividly remember the days where whenever there was the need to share filed (especially the heavy ones) I'd have to upload them to Dropbox and share the file. Although that doesn't sound like much, WeTransfer made it even easier. Just drop your files to the browser and generate a link to share and that's it. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Couldn't ask for more. Not to mention that you don't even have to create an account to share the files. You can share up to 2GB of files every 2 days (I believe) without having to commit to the website. A true treat.
