Probably the payed version is much better. Pros I like how easy it is to send large files. Very intuitive and clean. Cons I dislike the fact that the files get deleted after 7 days in the free version. I have had countless problems due to this. Without any warning as well. Pros As a designer who holds various positions in my own place of business, it is always easy for me to receive & send large files through the cloud system, files in the form of briefs and drafts from prospective customers, even large raw files. One of them is with the We Transfer service, everything can be easy and you don't have to worry about sending files, even close to a 2GB capacity, of course, it doesn't cost anything at all / free. Cons Of the many facilities and conveniences that We Transfer offers, there are a few things that make me less comfortable, namely the storage time limit is only 7 days in free mode. Yes, maybe a little complacent because too often enjoy the free. Besides that, the factor of busyness and delay in downloading files that have been sent by customers to me exceeds the maximum storage time limit. It's free, it's fast and it has a cool app called Collect that let's you upload files to your account. Pros WeTransfer is the best and most used method to send and receive files for us and our customers. We use WeTransfer for infected computers where we need to send files to one of our virtual machines to disinfect, check or decrypt, or send programs/drivers/packages from a computer to our customer's computer without having to connect to our internal network drivers (for security purposes). The thing that makes it easy and secure is that you do not need to register/login and the links of the files are very short making it easy to type it manually on the target machine. Cons I don't think that there is something missing from WeTransfer. Maybe raise the limit to more than 2GB, but hey it's free to use! When I have a larger file and I cannot send it via e-mail, I just go to the WeTransfer website and within a minute the large document has been send. It does not need any experience or any long steps to take, since you can send it immediately. Cons I'm not exactly sure what they do with these documents. In some cases these documents are to some extent private, so they cannot shared with other people. Maybe they have to explain it more in-depth so people get more confidence in this tool. June 4, 2019 5.0 My entire organization uses this software for sending files. I think this is a very user friendly free service offerred to customers. Being the Senior Tax Manager, I have to share many PDF Files containing hundreds of documents of size hundreds of MBs and I always use WeTransfer for this purpose. Presentations, Videos of conferences and many workshops videos kept for record keeping are shared via WeTransfer only. A must have software. Gone are the days of USBs and Hard Disks. Pros Everything! I absolutely love this software. File Sharing is made so easy via WeTransfer. WeTransfer does not require any registration or signing up to do. The free version allows us to send up to 2 GB worth of data free to any email address. The recepient receives a WeTransfer link which he can download with in 7 days. Along with this, when the recepient downloads the files I sent, I will get an email notification making the entire process very reliant and safe. The 2 GB allowed in the free version is enough to send majority of our large files including videos and complete photo albums Cons I have faced a few problems in the WeTransfer mobile application while attaching large files but other than that I don't have any issues with this software. Cons There is a limit to the size of files we can transfer. The premium version of this application is expensive. Sometimes when uploading or downloading big files, it takes a lot of time. Pros Sharing assets for work or even with friends and family members is so smooth and easy. No need of logging in to your email account and also the limits of file upload and all the hassle of remembering passwords for email accounts are skipped with the presence of WeTransfer. Cons Thinking of a con is a little burdening because we get so much more available already in the free plan. The only con here would be if you need to keep the files available for download for a longer duration or upload an extremely huge file then we might need to upgrade to a paid plan which can be a little costly. The transfer was so simple and easy. Since that day, WeTranfer has become my number 1 file transfer service Pros I usually transfer most of my files by WeTranfer. This service is really efficient. The majority of mail servers limit the size of the files to be transferred. With WeTransfer, you can send a large file worry-free and without restrictions. In addition, its strong point is that it is very easy to use. No need to register (you can send a file up to 2GB). It has no restrictions; you can send all types of files, without worry. All you need is to provide 2 email addresses, yours and the recipient's and it's ok. I love how simple and quick it is Cons As for file transfer, I find it excellent. The files size limit for a free user is more than enough to cover one's needs; you can also transfer multiple files in one link. Cons One thing that doesn't help me personally is that there is a short barrier to use the app via Pop-up where it prompts you to use free or paid version.
