The setup and use is a breeze and it immediately helped to keep track of all the tasks I was spending time on as I went through my day and got pulled from pillar to post supporting collegues with IT issues as well as run other projects.After integrating it with Google sheets using Zapier, it has meant that the task of filling my weekly timesheet has gone from an hour or two, to basically 5 minutes. I like the idea of physical objects vs. virtual, so the ZEI/Timeular combo looked good to me. Pros easy to stop timing a task and switch to another task. It's easy to adjust the timing also, if you left a timer running too long. Cons Integration with the ZEI hardware. I never really knew if the timer was OFF. Well, i would find out later. I would THINK I had turned it off, would see the light go off, and put it in my bag, but when I arrived home hours later and opened the computer, I would find that the software had been timing for HOURS even after I thought it was off. In future designs, perhaps it would be better to have a SWITCH (in which it's clear when device is off) instead of a button. ALSO, there is no option to turn off military time. We don't tend to use that here in the US. I heard it's coming in "future versions" but it has not arrived yet. Review Source BJ Blake J. January 25, 2023 5.0 Pros I love how easy it is to use and how I can add tags and then track those in a simple manner. It's helped me keep track of how long I spend on certain tasks, projects, etc. Cons I initially purchased the triangular dice, but never really used it. Sometimes I think about using it, but I'm not a fan of how it turns on and can easily get knocked around. Pricing is okay. Review Source Jade B. October 3, 2018 5.0 This is a much faster way to track my time than the system at my company and helps me keep an accurate record of how I am using my time. I love that it syncs to your phone as I spend a lot of time in and out of the office as a video producer. My current time tracking system at work is not mobile friendly so this makes things really easy for me. Pros I am able to easily view reports about how I am using my time among multiple clients and projects. I am looking forward to getting a Zei to improve my tracking in the near future. Cons It is too easy to accidentally create duplicate @ or # items and I still can't figure out how to delete them. An excellent concept - needs more work on execution. Pros The blending of a hardware, physical device that helps you focus is genius. I really like that I can just remind myself to flip the device when I'm at my desk and it actually makes time tracking fun. They did have decent customer service, but they didn't really address the core issue. Cons Ultimately, I would have kept this as my personal time tracking/focus device if it had worked consistently. The device kept failing, even after I got a replacement. If its user error, then it seems more clunky than streamlined of a device. Review Source Adam F. That doesn’t mean that everything is perfect, but the software does what I need it to do. The only thing that I’d like to see would be more direct integrations with invoicing software. That should come as use of the software increases. Pros I liked the idea that the software and "cube" automates the logging of time spend on a task. It seemed to me a really good idea. Cons The import/export option is quite difficult to handle. The Zeio Tracker is extremely helpful and jumps the biggest hurdle for time tracking software: having to bring up the tracker every time you change activities. Whenever I need to report my hours for the quarter, it is incredibly easy to look back and filter by the dates I need. The only issue I've encounter is if I forgot the Octagon on a specific task with my computer on and later stop that task on the app, the octagon will override my manual input and restart the task. Pros The easy of use and the fact that I can change the task at hand on-the-fly using the paired Octagon. Cons The fact that I cannot add a value per task or a value per hour of task. This would be a great improvement that could easily help me check how much I'm earning per-hour on task that have a fixed price per task or calculate how much I should charge for a task based on the pricer per hour. User has to wait long time in UI before entry gets updated on Timeular server. Multiply this with number of entries per day and you'll easily pay back all minutes you spared by using tracker. The promise is though it'll be fixed in the next version. It's been a huge timesaver from an administrative perspective and recently I'm enjoying using hashtags to categorize work and see where I'm spending the most time. Pros The device is the best part of this. It's sitting there on my desk which makes it easier to remember to switch projects/tasks and record time accurately. If I forget to flip it, it's still easy to make changes in the software by just dragging things around...so much easier than the other time recording tools I've used. I think using timeular has helped with both.One other thing it's lead to I didn't expect was getting more consistent at planning my time which I struggle with. Pros Nice analytics, easy to setup and use, good desktop and mobile apps. I am a consultant and wanted to use Timeular to track billable hours, but once I realized it’s potential, I immediately upgraded to the Pro plan. I now use Timeular to keep me focused on my current activity (professional or personal)– when my attention begins to wonder, I am reminded that Timeular is continually clicking along. If you are looking for a solution to help you maintain focus or provide you visibility to where you are spending your most valuable resource (TIME) I would highly recommend Timeular. You will not be disappointed! Pros My favorite feature is the reporting capabilities (visual report w/in app, exporting, tagging, etc.) - it provides me the ability to really analyze my prior week's effort and determine if I am allocating my time on my highest priority tasks. Cons I would really like the ability to edit tags (hashtags/mentions). I love it & use it every day. Also, the way Timeular divides time entries into activities and you have to choose one to start tracking really resonates with the way I think. This is much better than e.g. how Toggle does it. Cons The mobile app is pretty slow and doesn't have nearly all of the capabilities that the desktop app has. It's awesome and horrifying at the same time. Pros At first, I hated this thing and thought it was the stupidest thing ever (can you tell that it was not my choice to start using it?). However, the more I've used it the more I love it. It turns out, I am HORRIBLE at guessing where my time is spent. I thought that most of my time was spent managing my team... nope. It's spent on emails and stuff that is not team focused. It's horrible! It's been so nice to see where my time is going and frustrating to see that I'm regularly clocking in 55 hours a week. Cons The biggest con is that I can't backdate any tasks. For instance, if I worked last night but forgot to clock it until after lunch today, I can't backdate it without overriding all of the time tracking I've done today. It's very annoying. I switch between tasks, and being able to track when I'm working on projects I can get paid for and projects for school is helpful. The insights really help me keep track of what projects took the most time and which took the least this month. Pros They make it super easy to track your time and easily see where you are spending the most amount of time during the day. Cons My only complaint is that the cube uses a battery that is not rechargeable which can be a pain because of the type of battery it uses is not a very common one. March 12, 2019 5.0 The first thing I wanted to do was capture where my time was going in order to identify wastes. After 3 months of continuous use, I was able to go back and look at my statistics. Meetings, e-mail, and disruptions have eaten up too much of my time. I thought this was the case, but now I had data to show my boss! Pros It was easy to assign tasks to each face. The ability to see total time spent across dates is useful. It takes a little discipline to use it, but it is by far the easiest time tracking method I have ever tried (and I LIKE convenience)! Timeular updates the software frequently, with new features and bug fixes. Cons I work at a desk with a portable laptop, and I'm up and gone too often, with my computer in hand. Syncing the tracker back up to my computer isn't alway automatic.
