I've recommended to several of my friends who are also busybodies. It's really helped to get an accurate measure on the time I spend throughout the day. Pros Timeular is great with the ZEI cube. It's wonderful at being able to easily switch tasks and accurately record the time for those tasks. As a contractor, I'm usually working on several projects at once, so this makes it incredibly easy to record all of my time throughout the day. Cons 24hr time... I'm in the USA and not as familiar with military time unfortunately, so I find it difficult to translate into 24 hr time. I also wish there were an easier hour exporting feature to export to invoices / quickbooks/ xcel, etc. Review Source Shawn W. Pros The GUI. - it's well designed, and makes it easy to analyze your time spent. Cons The fact that it moves very slowly in between switching tasks and interfaces. I contacted customer support many times to get it resolved, and they tried but to no avail. They ultimately suggested I should upgrade my Windows version from 7. I will probably get an upgrade in a couple years, but it shouldn't be that difficult to make it run with Windows 7. Also, I don't like that it doesn't track partial minutes. I've found it very useful and the support staff always reply very quickly Pros I work on contracts and I find it very helpful to be able to track the types of work I do for different organisations. I find it a great tool for showing managers the time that tasks take as they are often unaware and to track how well improvements speed up tasks over time, Cons If you can't use your pc/laptop for the software, I find the phone app to be quite slow for putting notes in. Originally I thought it was going to save me a bunch of time but It doesn't fit into my workflow like that unfortunately. What I do like about it is that it keeps me aware of how much time I'm spending where. I'm not sure it's something I would recommend to anybody just yet as I don't think it would fit in the workflow of most of the professionals I interact with. Pros Easily being able to record your time while working on different tasks. Great features include color coding your tasks, being able to tag items with hashtag labels and easy to use. Software integrates well with the hardware and is very responsive. I've had very little issues when using the application or the device. Cons The biggest issue for me is trying to track time when multitasking. Let's say I'm working on a project and a task someone needs help, I can't track those simultaneous based on categories. The staff really enjoy using it in the data we can get back is perfect. Pros We use this for daily workload recording to determine any problematic areas and opportunities for better efficiency’s. It’s a great little tool that the staff can use with these! Cons When using it it has to paying your IP address to save the data in the cloud. Sometimes the number of pings needed can escalate your cyber security department. We have been working with their C level team to determine impacts and we are under the understanding that they are realigning their efforts to drive down the number of pings needed. Sometimes it takes more time to actually use it properly (\*see above comment). I do like how it encourages me to mindful about my time. It is also wonderfully designed. Since one of my goals was limiting time on certain activities, I wish there could be a way for it notify me when I had reached my limit. Pros Being able to visualize how I actually spend my time. I also want to set some limits on certain activities so I don't spend too much time on them. Cons Sometimes the bluetooth is finnicky. I am not sure if it is because I run it on multiple devices, but I often have to wait and see that it is actually tracking on my computer or my phone which kinda defeats the purpose. My only gripe is with the cube needing to sync back up at random times as i use that about 90% of the time rather than the software. Pros The software is great to help track your daily activities for metrics. You always 'feel' like you spend more time on one thing than you do on another, and you can account for and prove that with the software. You don't necessarily need the 'cube', but that is a cool feature too. Being able to have 8 'activities' is great. Cons My main issue is with the cube itself. The battery that came with it died very quickly. Also, at times the cube loses connectivity with the bluetooth dongle and you have to push the little button again to sync back up. October 3, 2018 5.0 The number one benefit I've noticed is realizing just how much time I was wasting. I always believed that I worked 6 hours a day, but after using Timeular I realized I was really working closer to 4.5 hours. I had no idea that the little things like random Youtube videos, lunch breaks, and other distractions eating a huge portion of the time I specified as 'work'. Knowing exactly where my time is being spent has made me a much more productive worker. Pros I've played with a few different time management programs but Timeular's desktop/mobile app is hands down the best! Coupled with their slick ZEIº cube it's seriously doubled my productivity levels. I never have to worry about forgetting to turn an activity on or off when the cube is 6 inches from my keyboard at all times. Cons The only issue I ever had with the software was fixed with a patch shortly after I started using Timeular. Sometimes I would have to restart the Timeular program if my ZEIº cube didn't connect. Because I use Timeular, my clients are happy that I charge an hourly rate and I am able to bill by the minute. Pros I love that I can just it's just one click or flip my Zei device to start tracking as soon as I start work with a specific client. It is so easy to export the data (as .csv) and quickly do my monthly invoices. There is no way I could successfully bill my time as a virtual assistant without Timeular. Cons I cannot choose custom colours for my time tracking activities. I have each side of my Zei as a specific client and I would like to be able to choose a colour from their logo to identify them. You DO NOT need to buy their tracking device to use it, with iOS, Mac, and Windows apps you can use it on any device by clicking an activity on your screen. Super easy and gives a great breakdown of your day! As a professional that bills my time, I need to quickly and easily capture my work throughout the day, and the software and physical device are great for when I get interrupted to quickly switch back and forth and keep accurate records. Pros Very clean interface. I start tracking time, I label the time slot, and it's easy to move over to my (clunky) billing software. Cons The physical device has issues with disconnecting. Cons Es gab kürzlich eine Änderung in der Preispolitik, kurz nachdem ich das Produkt gekauft habe. Eine kostenlose Basisversion gibt es keine mehr, das finde ich persönlich sehr gut. Es soll ja Geld fliessen, das ist völlig in Ordnung. Nach dem Kauf erhielt ich ein eMail, dass der Basis-Dienst immer noch kostenlos ist für die Käufer, die VOR der Änderung des Preismodells das Produkt kauften. In meinem Account steht jedoch, dass der Dienst CHF 5/Monat kostet. Der Support konnte bisher nicht weiter helfen. Bin mal gespannt, ob ich eine Rechnung bekomme. Timeular makes it straight-forward and provides me the summary and detailed reporting I need to keep improving. Good stuff that has a lot of promise for the future!! Pros First and foremost, using the software with the ZEI cube is easy, productive, symbolic in that you simply flip the cube to start and stop tracking, and just plain cool to use. The software has gone through a couple of release enhancements and fixes since I've been using it, and each have been beneficial. While it's not perfect and therefore has room for improvement, it is the best I've used to track my time and productivity. Cons The tool takes a number of keystrokes to ensure you are tagging things correctly, and I've noticed it doesn't necessarily retain all the tags. Review Source DP Dennis P. I believe that my use of timeular and ZEi has helped me become better at tracking my time and tasks throughout the day. I’d like for there to be more reminders to change a task - at the desktop or at the device. Pros I enjoy the timeular reports and summary the most out of the features. It is clear and helpful to determine the hours required for the timesheet. I also enjoy the schedule view showing the different inputs throughout the day. Cons My least favorite part are the bugs associated with the 24hour vs 12 hour options, the sometimes glitchy record keeping across multiple devices (PC to phone). And the fact that the manual time editing allows you to go backwards and change dates/times incorrectly. There should be a way to manually change the setting between tasks (min task time when manually entering). Pros That it always registers when the tracker changes side. It never misses a turn. Cons It’s quite expensive and was very rough in the early versions. But all the issues has been fixed now!
