### "Great for a large range of businesses"

April 12, 2021

5.0

Overall we are pleased with our Meraki purchase and installation. We used a system integrator to obtain it but looking back we could have saved some money doing it ourselves but the quick onboarding and initial setup by the integrator ensured we got running quickly

Pros

Meraki is a cloud based product that controls on premises and remote hardware. The hardware is top of the line and includes all the functions you would expect from an exterprise offering. Given the broad number of options and the cloud based always updating nature of this product if fill many needs and be adopted by most organizations.

Cons

Some of the navigation takes some getting used to and I wish it would flow more but there are so many features that building a fluid navigation gets tough, even for Cisco. The graphing could also be better and offer additional options when you need more details but generally it will fill most needs.

We had performance issues with VOIP on our previous product and we could not solve it. With Meraki it was a non issue and everything just worked.

### "Best-in-class networking solution — simple, reliable, easy to use."

August 11, 2026

5.0

Overall, Cisco Meraki delivers a dependable, easy-to-manage networking experience — the cloud dashboard makes deployment and troubleshooting across multiple locations far simpler than traditional hardware. The main downside is the ongoing licensing cost and dependency, which makes it less ideal for budget-conscious setups, but for ease of use and reliability it's a strong choice.

Pros

1.Simple, intuitive cloud-based dashboard. 2.Easy deployment and remote management across multiple sites. 3.Reliable performance and uptime. 4.Strong security features (built-in firewall, content filtering). 5.Automatic firmware updates. 6.Good scalability for growing networks. 7.Helpful visibility into network/device analytics.

Cons

1.Expensive licensing, especially recurring subscription costs 2.Requires ongoing license renewal to keep devices functional (no license = limited features) 3.Limited customization/advanced configuration compared to traditional Cisco gear 4.Reliant on cloud connectivity for full management

### "A good solution for SMB"

December 20, 2023

4.0

It's been good for the most part. It takes a while to find things as I came from a Cisco only shop but it is usable by people who have no network experience if you need someone like that to be able to vlan a port or something like that.

Pros

It is easier to install and maintain than most similar products. You can easily establish vpn's between owned devices with dynamic ip addresses.

Cons

Ran into an issue recently where you can not define access for Software VPN clients to networks that are vpn connected that are not Meraki.

### "Can't go wrong with Meraki"

May 2, 2025

4.0

Meraki is a great platform. Easy to use. Pretty simple to configure. Meraki makes troubleshooting easy due to the robust telemetry.

Pros

I really appreciate the amount of information I have about my networks at any given time. I really like the remote agent too!

Cons

I wish there was a dark mode. Most of my apps are set to dark mode, so when looking at Meraki, it takes just a second to get used to it.

### "Meraki for MDM and Wireless"

April 21, 2022

4.0

Overall we're very happy. Deployments are easy and not having to support controllers has been helpful, although controller based systems do have their advantages. MDM has helped us maintain better control and tracking over our mobile assets.

Pros

the ease of use is great. Deployment is straight forward for Meraki devices. MDM management is not extremely intuitive, but in fairness this is our first MDM product. Consoles are easy to navigate. For the price it is an effective product.

Cons

Licensing is a bit confusing, Menu in the management console could use a little improvement, more streamlined, reporting is very lacking.

Cisco Meraki is a well-regarded network management solution, known for its cloud-based management, scalability, and advanced security features. The interface and features of Cisco Meraki may also be complex, making it challenging for less experienced users to use. Additionally, as a cloud-based solution, Cisco Meraki requires a stable and reliable internet connection to function properly, which could be a concern for some users. In general, Cisco Meraki is a good option for organizations that need a comprehensive network management solution and are looking for advanced security features and real-time insights into network performance.

### "Efficient and powerful for managing, monitoring and administering wireless networks."

May 28, 2023

5.0

Cisco Meraki allowed us to efficiently manage and administer our access points that are distributed in strategic locations in the city from the cloud and without having to move to the site, now we can monitor and configure them from the central panel with ease, it allowed us to exercise total control over the network, restrict pages and limit bandwidth among others.

Pros

Cisco Meraki offers a GUI that can be operated in a simple way, it is easy to implement, it is scalable which allows us to meet the needs of the company; it has excellent capabilities for monitoring, supervision and management of wireless networks in the cloud, does not require much technical knowledge for the initial configuration of the Access Point, with Cisco Meraki we can manage and configure securely and simplified way all from the central control panel regardless of location or time (we can distribute the bandwidth as we wish, by network name, page or IP among others).

Cons

Functionally I have not found anything I dislike about Cisco Meraki, the only downside of Cisco Meraki is the high cost of licenses and equipment.

### "Cisco Meraki Products Review"

March 19, 2024

4.0

In the Meraki Ecosystem, I have extensive experience working with MX Firewalls, MS Switches, and MR Access Points. These products boast ease of deployment and management, featuring user-friendly interfaces. However, it's worth noting that in the MX Firewalls, certain features such as NAT(Static and Dynamic) and Link Aggregation are lacking. This limitation has posed challenges for me in network design and deployment scenarios.

Pros

I appreciated the ease of deployment and management of Meraki Products, user monitoring, and user-friendly interfaces.

Cons

Some features such as NAT(Static and Dynamic) and Link Aggregation are lacking in Meraki MX Firewalls. This limitation has posed challenges for me in network design and deployment scenarios.

### "A Must Have For Any Company"

January 9, 2024

5.0

Pros

I can't say enough that I love at Meraki. The ease of use of the dashboard or being able to make multiple changes on multiple switches across any of the sites within an organization. It cuts down on management tasks immensely.

Cons

I wish they had a blended consumer product that allowed tech savvy home users to be able to setup or protect their home networks without the annual licensing cost.

### "Great fully-featured cross-platform MDM solution"

February 12, 2019

5.0

We needed a basic iOS MDM for about 50 iPads, and Meraki SM fit the bill with their Free 100 device plan. In a space where most iOS MDMs are the same in features and in price, Systems Manager has unique features like Tags, and allows us to expand our management to Android and Windows, which we will most certainly be taking advantage of in the future.

Pros

\-Aggregation of MDM policies across iOS, macOS, Android, and Windows platforms make it really easy to deploy the same setting, such as screen lock, to multiple platforms without drilling the per-platform settings -Supports all iOS MDM settings and is quick to implement new ones as Apple introduces them -Tagging system is incredibly useful to identify and organize different devices - this is unique to Meraki -Although we don't have Meraki networking products - they can all be managed from the same dashboard -Just like most MDM platforms, it offers easy web-based device registration, and syncs with Apple VPP and School Manager

Cons

\-Web management dashboard has a steep learning curve and is not very intuitive - a task like deploying a new app to devices involves three or four different management pages -Pricing is comparable, if not a bit more expensive than other iOS MDMs, but its cross-platform support makes up for this

### "Plenty of Features when they work"

October 29, 2019

4.0

It gives us what we wanted from a MDM with a good price, functionality and features. Having it share the same management screens as our APs, routers and switches is a huge bonus in managing devices. But blacklisting of software seems to be the only consistently working part with software as deployment and whitelisting is not very reliable.

Pros

It is very easy to setup and start using. It has a lot of functions that can you can see in more expensive products but all cloud based and managed. Having no on premise foot print is great and it has the same dashboard as our Meraki devices we manage. We do not need to switch to check or update the status of devices. This does device inventory and deployment of software. Can find where devices are and who is logged in to them.

Cons

The MDM for managing the installation and whitelisting of software is poor. We would approve software for users but then when an update to the app happens we would need to approve the app again. We have used the setting to keep the app approved for all updates but it does not work. Force installing the software is not reliable at all.

Reason for choosing Cisco Meraki

Cost and it worked with our cloud devices.
