Pros He's good at making assets easy to find and share. Cons We would like to have a few more integrations now that we are operational, although the API is good and we can simply build our own. April 16, 2026 5.0 Pretty damn excellent. It is the best Digital Asset Management tool I have ever come across. Plus the team is such a dream to work with. Pros Smart, intuitive and FAST servers. Help feature is incredible and the questions are usually answered within minutes. Cons Not much, once you know where the settings are it is all good. At first setting up folders and access is tricky but great once ready. They were able to set us up with a folder structure unique to our business needs. Whenever we have needed help they have been quick to respond and very hands on in solving our problems for us. Pros HIVO allows us to grant our stakeholders access to our IP in a centralised location. It has saved us time on email back and forth with stakeholders and allows us to control what IP is available to them. The flexibility of the platform and the team at HIVO helping us trouble shoot and find solutions has been excellent. For example; applying watermarks automatically to web sized imagery has saved our team hours, if not days, of work.  Cons Some of the functionality can be fiddly and not always super user friendly. The ability to receive notifications when new assets are loaded to collections would be helpful. Really quick answers when you have questions but also very useful when we were trying to find the best DAM that worked for us. Pros The easy UI it has and the option to have expiration dates to ensure all assets that expire come offline on a specific date. We have 9 different brands in HIVO and it's our DAM across a company of over 2000 staff so it's essential for us to have a DAM that works and any of our staff can find assets with ease. Cons Some of the technical selection might not be very intiutive but once you go through a tutorial it's pretty easy. HIVO also gives great tutorials but any time we run into an obstacle they are very quick at replying. Pros The UI design is intuitive and user-friendly, on-boarding experience was great, feedback taken on board and easy to use overall! Cons It took a little time to learn how to truly use it to its full potential, and still learning but only because there's so much it can do! It's an outstanding piece of software with customisation specific to our needs and a super helpful support team. Highly recommend! Pros The ease with which we are able to locate digital assets and images of specific nature reducing the time is takes to form portfolios and marketing documents. Sharing images and assets with clients and collaborating with other firms is easy and has significantly streamlined the way our organisation deals with digital files. Cons The setup with my team was a challenge as they aren't very tech-savvy, but the UX is really intuitive and the support staff were super helpful to get them up to speed. This makes a big difference when using enterprise software. Pros HIVO makes the repetitive tasks such as downloading, sharing, creating versions, watermarking and editing really easy and super quick. Cons We are still waiting to roll it out the rest of the business, so I have to use shared links to non HIVO users, until those people get their own HIVO account which will mean I can 'nudge' them assets. They're very attentive to our needs and are happy to tailor features to our needs, which I think is quite rare. The overall experience with HIVO has been great. Pros The Search/Filter and Image/Asset Library, no doubt. I use this multiple times throughout my workday, and it makes my day-to-day very efficient as I can easily and quickly find what I'm looking for - rather than manually wading through an ocean of assets. Cons It would be great to have some self-learning/self-paced introduction videos with the basic features and how to navigate them. I sometimes find that there are so many great features that can be used, I just didn't know about them. We work in the tourism space, where we need images for social media, corporate partners, and advertising - as visual storytelling is a huge part of tourism marketing. HIVO has been such an asset to us. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone in all matter of industries. Cons Nothing.. all great. No complaints. August 11, 2019 5.0 Huge time and cost savings, would recommend to anyone and everyone! Pros Having been convinced of the value of implementing a DAM, I continue to be impressed but the intuitive interface and ease of use. My team even are constantly telling me they love the openness and proximity of the workflow and asset management. The review features, auto-versioning, facial recognition and collection features are my favourite. Cons Can't wait for the self service features to develop even further, life changing!
