Teampay is always there to help or answer any questions in a timely manner, which is important in the world of finance.

Pros

I love that it gives power to the people! The employees don't need to ask accounting for every single payment request, but also do not have a physical credit card that is difficult to track and report every month. This has eased up the lift in the accounting department as expense reports have fewer charges and AP is also lighter. There are still controls in place to ensure that these decisions are being approved, but these are decisions that should be approved within those departments anyway.

Cons

My company definitely pushed the limits of the software, in terms of transaction counts and approval groups. Managing approval groups is a bit clunky, but it's not a huge problem.

Cons

eventhough its a temporary card, if i need to use it for more than one thing, i have to continually put in requests for separate cards. wish the approval workflows were more customizable, integrations/sync sometimes need to be performed manually

Pros

I did like it one bit. It was an unnecessary system that we paid for. 100% just makes employees feel like we can't be trusted to maintain a budget.

Cons

It's 100% unnecessary and slows things down completely. Like I previously said, this is a nanny software that I guess is good at 'protecting' the company. But if you can't trust your employees to use their own credit cards, knowing that we have to have the expense approved anyway, and not abuse their spending, then the company is already in trouble.

We wanted to help our team purchase the products they need while keeping track of everything and Teamppay does a good job of it. Problem is their competitors are able to offer additional value.

Pros

The Slack integration is a very cool and user friendly way for users to request additional recurring billing software. Customer support team is good and trying to grow the product as they are a small company.

Cons

They do not provide credit unlike competitiors Divvy and Brex which really impacts the value. Also our Slack integration broke and it was very difficult to get it back up and running

My overall experience with Teampay is the with the use of my Teampay Visa card. It is great that it is accepted every where, I can use it for businesses purchases and my business travel. Uploading receipts is very easy and I am able to do it as soon as I make purchases or transactions hit my card.

Pros

Immediate notification of purchases being made or posting to my team pay card. The team pay site is easy to navigate and review transactions and receipts that have been added or that are missing and need to be added.

Cons

There really isn't anything I dislike about it. It is a very user friendly system with little issues that I have seen.

My overall experience has been pleasant, and Teampay is an easy platform to use. Customer support is on top of things regarding the chat as well.

Pros

The apps user interface is ease to use! Uploading receipts for each transaction is simple to do. Love that part.

Cons

Not a big fan of credit returns to online transactions. The delay has taken over 30 days to credit at a time.

Teampay has been extremely easy to navigate and keep track of my receipts with. In the mobile app, i can just open it after i make a purchase, snap a photo, and reconcile it right then and there. Mitigates the risk of losing a receipt of having a desk full of a pile of unorganized receipts.

Pros

Easy to navigate, upload and reconcile receipts!I really liked how easy to access it is, as well as how user friendly it is.

Cons

I wish there were more options for accurate coding/reconciling - however i'm unsure if that is a teampay issue or how my company set theirs up.

A little rough at the beginning but once I understood, I was able to use teampay daily and without any type of issue.

Pros

Ease of logging in and viewing transactions. I am able to add to my apple wallet to always have my card available.

Cons

It was hard to understand at first and sometimes having to request an up on my limit when I'm waiting in line somewhere was hard due to not having availability.

I was able to request purchases from my supervisor in advance. I was also able to upload receipts and my reimbursements came quickly as a direct deposit.

Pros

It's user friendly! Even as a beginner in a new job (3 weeks), I've been able to submit a number of purchase requests and reimbursements with ease.

Cons

My company has many many different expense accounts and the alphabetical search does not help as they have very similar names. It would be great if the application could be set automatically for my department or remember my most common choices ("favorites") with the option to see other expense accounts as needed.

The ability to issue virtual cards instantly for specific vendors or purposes is especially helpful and adds an extra layer of security. That said, the onboarding and setup process requires careful planning to align workflows and policies with company needs. Teams that are new to proactive spend management may face a learning curve, and smaller businesses might find the pricing harder to justify.

Pros

Teampay provides live tracking of employee purchases, helping finance teams monitor budgets proactively rather than reactively. Automated, customizable workflows make it easy to set guardrails and ensure proper authorization before funds are spent. The experience has been very positive overall. There are some minor UI issues that would make the experience even better.

Pros

Very straighforward process to set up a transaction. Pleasant bot interractions make the process less bureaucratic.

Cons

Exact dollar requirment. Many transactions may have some variation due to shipping &/or taxes. There should be some way to allow for small variations (i.e. ability to set overage limit as in amount +$20 overage). File upload process could be clearer. It's not an implementation issue so much as it is a UI issue where one has to think each time how to upload. Should either be a drop file here dialog or upload file dialog box. There also should be more transparency regarding the approval process as in who the approvers are and how far along the approval process the submittal is.

I work for a company that uses it for approvals for purchases for the company and I am an admin so I use it for supplies, catering etc.

Pros

The ease of the steps laid out, so you know what to do next and the steps needed to be taken. Once you have submitted a claim you can even see who next needs to approve it and what steps it is in in order to be approved.

Cons

Sometimes I have to Chat also while filling out the info and I haven't figured out how to do both without starting a new teampay every time I go out and go back in.

I primarily use Teampay for submitting reimbursements related to company benefits, travel expenses, and employee recognition or award purchases. It’s made the process so much easier and more streamlined than other tools I’ve used in the past.

Pros

I love that Teampay integrates with Slack—it sends me reminders when I need to upload receipts, which keeps me on track without extra effort. It’s also directly linked to my bank account, so once something is approved, I don’t have to worry about deposits or tracking payments manually. The whole system is very user-friendly and makes submitting and managing expenses quick and painless.

Cons

The only improvement I’d suggest is having convenient guidance as a reference on which company-specific categories to select when submitting an expense. Right now, I sometimes have to refer back to our internal documentation. It would be great if that info were embedded directly into the Teampay interface during submission.

It's been a really good experience overall using Teampay. From using the temporary credit cards that my team has to setup sometimes to getting my expenses automatically drafted for me with alerts in Slack, it's the most integrated expense app I've ever used.

Pros

Teampay is integrated with Slack, makes it easy to attach receipts, and I don't have to spend a ton of time filling out a bunch of fields for every item

Cons

I wish the defaults on the expense form were editable. It defaults me to an expense type that actually belongs to another team, and I have to edit it each time.

Overall happy with Teampay as it meets our needs for making employee purchases easy and mostly hands off - The integration with Slack is very user friendly. I'd like to see more functionality with category selection, as changing those to the correct department takes a fair bit of time each month.

Pros

Teampay makes it extremely easy to get employees setup with a virtual card when making company purchases. They have a nice rule workflow which allows us to nearly automate our approval/rejection process.

Cons

I would love to see an "Admin" function where a user can add reimbursements for different users. There needs to be more functionality with categories. I'd like to be able to make a rule that X user's categories flow to Sales department. The auto-selected categories for physical cards are generally never correct. If a user selects the Sales-transportation category for an Uber ride, it seems like the Sales category will be selected for all other Uber purchases regardless if the user is in sales.

Had a sign-in issue and got customer support right away. Great responsive service that resolved my problem quickly and efficiently. The team was professional and friendly, making the experience smooth and stress-free. I appreciated the prompt attention to detail and how they prioritized my needs.

Cons

Could be better with instruction of how to use the app in the slack channel. The lack of clear guidance made it confusing at first, and it took some trial and error to figure out. More detailed tutorials or initial support would help new users navigate the platform more easily and enhance the overall experience.

I really like teampay. It feels like the developers made it as easy as possible to use and keep track of.

Pros

Efficient and easy to use. Cards are pretty quick to get approved, and super easy to use for team get togethers and lunches.

Cons

That I can't use it everywhere. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to add the cards to phone "wallets" temporarily. This would mitigate getting told no at places that cannot accept paper cards to punch in manually.
