In a large system of care, with clinical affiliations, it is a challenge to ensure that patient education materials are consistent with one "source of truth" driving the approved source of information. With the Zappix platform, we could deploy consistent and accurate patient education materials, (customized for local organization's specifics, ie directions, visiting hours, where to park, doctor's office locations, cafeteria or food locations, etc). It also eliminates outdated materials, poor quality re-printed or photocopied patient materials and provides a level of confidence that the organizations are using the most updated patient educational materials.

Pros

The ability to provide timely, most updated and accurate/easy to understand instructions, information and patient education materials with graphics and narratives along with reminders to the patient or caregiver of "things you need to do" set with a cadence as requested by the organization or physician is invaluable. It prepares the patient for their procedure in a thorough and non-intrusive manner and provides confidence to the care team that the patient is reminded to follow through on their responsibilities in preparation for procedures or surgery. This leads to better prepared patients and assists the care providers with providing timely patient information.

Cons

So far, I have not found anything that I would want changed at this time .

Reasons for choosing Zappix Digital Patient Engagement

Zappix Digital Patient Engagement platform excels in every aspect I have used. They also have non-healthcare products whose features are also transferrable to the healthcare arena, which enhanced our product and thoughts of what we desired for our patients and physicians. The ease of use of the tool by both patient and hospital users, the excellent tech and administrative teams at Zappix to work with and a short implementation phase were all key. The Zappix Team was responsive, organized, timely, very thorough, made suggestions, offered insights and suggested improvements to material graphics, and were very collaborative in the process and after launch.
