It’s been a lifesaver for a new business owner. The support has been fantastic. Plenty of resources available that I still have not tapped into, but I will be soon.

Pros

Sales tracking. Excellent customer support. Business growth assistance. Training videos. Route planning.

Cons

For the price, needs to include expense tracking as well. That would make it a one stop shop. Also need to be able customize checklists per customer.

So far, I do love the growth Skimmer has brought to our company overall. I feel that the company as a whole is more organized and has better overall management of technician routes as well as work orders, etc..

Pros

I love how Skimmer has all your customer base information in one place. It makes it easy for an overview of what technicians are doing out in the field. Our customers love the daily reports and as a Branch Manager, I love the the birds eye view.

Cons

As an Admin, I don't love how I can not see my "jobs" tab on the mobile side of things. May its available, but its not something I have found.

My overall experience with Skimmer has been great. Its affordable and I couldn't imagine running my pool route without it.

Pros

Skimmer streamlines just about everything in my daily workflow. Customer Service is responsive to issues and improvements.

Cons

There are a few things I'd change for how I specifically work, like assigning customers to different service package tiers that I offer, and the tasks that go along with them, but that's not a major issue

I love skimmer. It has completely changed my day-to-day operation of my business. I can't praise them enough for the forward thought processes for better ways of doing things and automating tasks that use to take forever.

Pros

I love that I get to talk to a real person when I call in and they take consideration of my problem or solution needs professionally and with great curtesy.

Cons

Very rarely, I run into something I need to be able to do from the app versus the web interface, but I usually can call and see if there is a better way to do it.

Pros

Our business has experienced huge growth in 5 years and Skimmer has been able to keep us and our team organized and on top of all our customer’s pool needs!

Anything that we liked least about skimmer in the past, has been improved tremendously across the platform.

Overall skimmer has made my life as a pool service pro much easier and I’m excited to see how it can help me scale my business to where I want it to be!

Pros

It makes my dad to day life as a pool service professional much easier. Takes the guess work out of everything and helps me keep good records. Helps you get paid faster!

Cons

The only thing I kinda dislike about skimmer is the pricing. I feel like it’s a little expensive, but not way too expensive. Also as a single pole operation I wish the mobile app allowed me to do more administrative stuff on the fly.

Unfortunately skimmer app is no longer a leader in the pool service software world. Pricing has quadrupled over the last 5 years, when I started using the app everything was included at one nice affordable price, now the price is astronomical and doesn’t make sense. Skimmer has addressed this issue by offering a low level version but they remove all of the cool and super useful features that made the app great forcing me to use the competitors.

Pros

Skimmer is a good app and easy to use, it has some decent features especially with a team of pool professionals.

Cons

Customer support has gone down hill, pricing has spiked in a world of free apps, not sure how much longer skimmer will be around at the prices they charge.

Skimmer is the most flexible and thoughtful program I have used for keeping me and my business organized.

Pros

Skimmer makes it easy to keep my billing clean. I can see where my customers stand from several places on the desktop and on the mobile app. Plus, there are lots of tutorial videos that help shorten the learning curve. The couple of times I did need additional help I received quick answers from customer support.

Cons

The price Skimmer very is competitive compared to the other options but being a cheapskate I would still like to pay less.

I keep communication lines open with customers. They know when I'm on my way & when I've been there, what services I provided, and what time I left. On top of all that, Skimmer has a feature where you can take photos of the pool. I also take a photo of their closed gate so we both have proof I didn't leave the gate open. I love Skimmer. I love it. I can't imagine not having it.

Pros

I love how customizable and convenient it is, I love the all the features, reporting, customer communications, I love the checklists, I love how I can flag certain things a required for each stop, I love the route builder. I love the fact that my customers know when I'm on my way to their pool, they know when I leave, they know what services I performed while I was there, and not only do they get a text when I finish, but they also get an e-mail containing a detailed report along with photos of their sparling clean pool! I love it. I love the whole thing! I can't think of a single negative thing to say. If you don't have Skimmer, GET IT! Trust me. You'll love it.

Cons

There are no cons. Skimmer is a game changer. Without Skimmer, I'm just another local pool guy. But WITH Skimmer, I'm the best pool guy they've ever had.

My experience has been outstanding. The software is easy to navigate, easy to understand and performs very well.

Pros

I love the ease of use and the technician management. Skimmer is continuing to do upgrades to make their product better.

Cons

In the busy season, which can be expected, maybe a quicker response from support. They are always responsive, however, just a bit slower in the busy season.
