Things are way easier for management and for the pool cleaner rather than staying old school with paper. Recommended. Pros Easy software on both ends- for the pool cleaners and for management. Nice app for phones and very easy and intuitive online app for calculation costs and pay-outs to the cleaners. Cons For our situation, we are still reliant on Quickbooks and cannot at this point move totally over to Skimmer for all customers- those with weekly service and occasional services needed. Post service emails to customers to show we were there and what we did, with a photo required by tech. All products and services with pricing to make billing easy and quick. Skimmer is the easiest, most efficient app I've ever used to manage my customers and techs. Cons There is no billing section on the mobile app. I have to get on my computer to answer billing questions while out in the field. Pros We have been a skimmer user for many years. Like all software applications, it took a bit to get it working the way we wanted. But after an adjustment time, asking for a few additional features, and modifying our daily process somewhat, we couldn't imagine not using it every day. Cons Sometimes overall speed is an issue. Also, usability on older phones can be a bit of a problem. Reason for choosing Skimmer We chose skimmer because it was not overly complicated. Since then it has constantly created updates that I didn’t realize I needed or would help my businesses as much as it has. Cons There are some features that I would like, but have not been added yet. Cons Being able to move customers that are on the same day in a specific orderex: moving a customer in front of another when it’s a new account. If you have added the route assignment from the customers profile it will show up on the bottom of the assignments for the day. Cons While it covers everything for daily route running, it would be great if some more of the website features and functions were available in the app also. It keeps the customers in the loop and shows them what the pool looks like after we've been there to clean it. I use to have customers accuse us of not cleaning their pools when all we left was a slip of paper under the skimmer and now we have photographic evidence of the work that has been done.
