### "The Best Knowledge Base Platform for Technical Writers"

July 18, 2025

5.0

One of the best knowledge base platform as a tool for technical writers. The portal is intuitive to use and there is plenty of documentation on how to optimize and streamline content. Any bugs that are found in the platform is quickly addressed and updated in the next releases along with new and exciting features. I'm now always going to recommend other technical writers to use Document360 as their go-to platform for content.

Pros

The user-friendly interface and ease of content management easily makes me recommend this platform to all technical writers I know. The customer support and customer success teams are also extremely helpful and responsive to user feedback and making sure their customers are getting the most out of Document360. Their documentation also provides a plethora of support to assist you in accomplishing tasks on their platform. Document360 is only getting better as they integrate AI to help writers make their content better and save them time in editing for quality.

Cons

Our team is still using the legacy pricing, and while it is working well for us, the new pricing plan for similar features we use is nearly doubled the price. While Document360 does extremely well in creating content and publishing it immediately, it would be nice to have better version control without having to publish the article first. They also have some bugs when it comes to formatting content as well.

### "Document360 - First in Its Class"

July 29, 2025

5.0

Overall the product does what i sets out to do and does it well. It is easy to creat articles and whenever help is needed the support staff are availabe.

Pros

The ease of use. In my POC I took less than 30 minutes to create a good looking knowledge base. Also the supoort and ability to add requested features is excellent. I also like that there is both a WYSIWYG and markdown editor to create articles.

Cons

The is very little to dislike. Over the period of 12 months there were a couple of times when I assume the servers were down as access was not available to the knowledge base - but this was rare.

### "Collaboration for improvements would be a great +"

August 26, 2025

3.0

I think that we can collaborate better on implementing new features. I am pretty open to giving feedback and it was part of my previous company role when we integrated a brand new platform. They were much more responsive in terms of receiving and implementing feedback.

Pros

It is easy to learn, and it is more or less easy to use. We use our custom css, which is handy and corporate-friendly.

Cons

it is not very intuitive. There are commands that can be improved such as the calloput which is something I use in every of my articles. I expect that when I have a text say Note: dummy text, then I place /callout in front of the text, it will automatically fall under the callout, as it happens with headings for example, instead, my text goes to a new row and a placeholder callout is inserted. I need to then copy and paste line by line, which is also pretty hideous to insert it inside the callout. Absolute waste of time. I have around 10 callouts per article.

### "Great product for Documentation"

May 8, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Document360 has been very positive. The platform provides a clean and intuitive interface for creating, managing, and publishing documentation efficiently. I especially liked its strong knowledge base organization, version control, analytics, and collaboration features, which make it suitable for both small teams and enterprise environments. The search functionality and AI-powered features improve the user experience significantly. While there are occasional limitations in customization and some advanced features are locked behind higher pricing tiers, the platform overall delivers a reliable and professional documentation management experience.

Pros

The interface is clean and user-friendly, making it simple for both technical and non-technical teams to collaborate. Its powerful search, category management, version control, and analytics features help maintain documentation efficiently while improving the overall user experience for customers and internal teams.

Cons

One thing I liked least about Document360 is that some advanced customization and editing options can feel limited unless you are on higher-tier plans. At times, the editor can also feel slightly laggy or fiddly when working with complex tables or large documentation projects. Additionally, pricing may be a bit expensive for smaller teams or startups compared to some alternatives

### "Doc360 for the win"

September 10, 2025

positive. I think it's one of the better options that exist for a KB solution at a very reasonable price.

Pros

The support is incredible, and new features are introduced at an amazingly fast pace. I also see a significant shift to AI features, which is great.

Cons

Features tend to be unstable, and the infrastructure feels unstable. I've had instances where there was a system update I was not aware of, and it screwed up my site.

### "Simple, Effective, and Reader-Friendly"

June 25, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Document360 has been great. It’s user-friendly, reliable, and has made managing our documentation much simpler, both for our documentation team and our readers. It has definitely saved us time and hassle.

Pros

I really liked how easy it was to set up and start using Document360. The interface is clean, intuitive, and makes organizing our knowledge base feel effortless.

Cons

If I had to pick something, I'd say the article layout could offer a bit more customization to better match our branding, but overall, it still works really well.

We switched from Zendesk because we needed a more focused and flexible documentation platform. It feels purpose-built for documentation, which made a big difference for our team.

### "Happy to be a Document360 client!"

August 26, 2025

5.0

Very smooth, easy to utilize, clean look! The onboarding process was very streamlined and. helped me to get familiar quickly.

Pros

The ease of everything! I write in WYSIWYG so this capability was essential. I love the way pretty much anything can be embedded right in the docs, along with creation of tables that are far from simple. The auto-generated Table of Contents lets me skip that menial step. I have reached out to customer support a couple of times in the early days, and they were always very helpful and quick to respond.

Cons

So far the only down side I have seen is that the tables do not have a freeze header function to stay while scrolling.

### "Great on all sides"

August 26, 2025

5.0

The administration of the site and all of the settings is clear and easy to use. Somehow, the migration and implementation teams are even better - they communicate well, deliver on expectations, and are easy to work with. The experience we're able to deliver to our end users in the help center is great too - it is easy to navigate, easy to search, and easy to use.

Pros

The product is great and meets all the need our team has for documentation authoring and management. The experience we're able to deliver to our end users in the help center is great too - it is easy to navigate, easy to search, and easy to use. The customer service has been great.

Cons

The product content could be slightly better, but really the product is so much better than others (Zendesk) it is hard to complain

### "Good Online Documentation Platform "

August 28, 2025

5.0

We've helped deploy Document360 at a number of customers. The experience has been very positive - both from the perspective of setting up, and from the support we have received from the company.

Pros

The evolving platform means that it keeps up with market trends. Good Support, which makes it easy to implement. Listen to the users - so we get relevant updates.

Cons

### "The Secure, Single Source of Truth for Enterprise Knowledge Management."

December 11, 2025

5.0

Document360 is fundamentally solving the problem of decentralized information silos and outdated/inconsistent articles. By providing a central, searchable repository, it has dramatically reduced the time employees spend searching for information, which boosts internal productivity. For our employees, the self-service knowledge base has been critical. It has led to a significant reduction in support tickets/calls, allowing our support agents to focus on more complex issues and lowering overall support costs. The in-depth analytics also help us identify content gaps and ensure we are continuously improving the content.

Pros

The most significant benefit is the excellent administrative control and content governance. The platform provides a single source of truth with robust version control and rollback features, which ensures content accuracy and consistency. The ability to create customizable workflows helps us streamline the review process with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). We also greatly appreciate the responsive customer support.

Cons

While the editor is intuitive, the overall user interface (UI) can be challenging to navigate for some new team members, presenting a learning curve. Additionally, the platform lacks robust mobile optimization, which impacts accessibility for team members who need to quickly access information on the go. There are also times when integrations with some external tools are not as deeply customizable as we would prefer.

### "Fast, User-Friendly, and Ideal for Teams"

May 27, 2025

4.0

The most accessible and user-friendly documentation platform I’ve worked with, especially ideal for teams without a technical writing background. While it doesn’t offer the advanced structured authoring features that tools like Oxygen provide, it strikes an excellent balance for fast, collaborative publishing.

Pros

Outstanding customer support, quick and straightforward setup, clean and intuitive interface, and robust built-in analytics make it easy to manage and measure documentation performance.

Cons

Limited XML and advanced markdown support; less flexibility for customisation compared to Oxygen. Content reuse is possible but can be a bit clunky and less structured.

### "User-friendly documentation platform"

May 2, 2025

5.0

Pros

We have been using Document 360 for a year now and it has been a good solution for our documentation platform. What stands out most is the user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to create, organise and maintain articles. The interface is intuitive and the editor provides almost everything we need to produce well-structured content. I would like to highlight the well-structured onboarding process and customer support for the platform, which makes it very easy to implement and leaves no questions unanswered.

Cons

The main drawback is the licensing model: even if you're only using the platform in one other language than English, you're required to purchase an English license. This feels a bit restrictive and could be more flexible for teams working exclusively in non-English languages.

Pros

Cons

### "An Excellent Knowledge Base Platform"

October 17, 2024

5.0

I've used many knowledge base platforms over the years to create, review, and curate large documentation repositories and they've all had their drawbacks. Document360 manages to be both feature-rich and easy to use, which is a combination you rarely see. The platform is so good, in fact, that we've migrated all of our documentation to it. What I like best about Document360, though, is the team behind it. The Kovai team clearly cares about the customer experience and building the best knowledge base platform out there. They are proactive, respond quickly and clearly when assistance is required, and clearly care about delivering a platform that provides a great customer experience. I'd recommend Document360 to anyone seeking an intuitive, modern knowledge base platform.

Pros

\- Intuitive, feature-rich platform - Excellent customer support with regular check-in calls - Ambitious, responsive development team committed to creating useful new features

Cons

\- Occasional technical issues with minor features/aspects of the platform.

### "Document360 for technical writing"

September 23, 2024

5.0

My overall experience with Document360 has been highly positive. After using several documentation tools in my career, Document360 is by far the most efficient and user-friendly. The platform has greatly improved my workflow, from content creation to analytics, allowing us to deliver better support to users based on their behavior and needs. It’s an invaluable tool for any technical writer.

Pros

The easy-to-use editor and content reuse tools are standout features. The platform’s rich analytics provide valuable insights into user behavior, helping us understand what information our users are searching for and which pages are most visited. The Glossary popups that appear when hovering over terms offer a clean way to present descriptions without overwhelming the main content. This makes it much easier to provide targeted support and continuously improve the documentation.

Cons

While Document360 is a robust tool, there can be a slight learning curve when it comes to fully utilizing all its advanced features. However, this is a minor issue compared to the overall functionality.

### "Doc360 is a Fantastic Documentation Repository for Our Team!"

July 31, 2023

5.0

We're pleased with our experience using the the Doc360 system. We have been impressed at their thorough and well thought through feature inclusions. The post-sales account management team has been excellent to work with, and we would recommend the product to others interested in a well rounded documentation management platform.

Pros

Having the front-end read-only portal and the back-end editing portal makes navigating for internal and external users extremely simple. Being able to export branded documents is extremely useful. The Doc360 team is constantly developing and adding features to the platform.

Cons

We have encountered issues where the document export encounters problems and we can't use it for a period of time. Additionally, formatting issues have occurred from time to time, but their development team seems to address these problems fairly quickly. It appears as though the system is updated regularly which is a blessing and a curse. A blessing because new features are added regularly, and a curse because features do break from time to time and need to be repaired. Some additional features that appear to be really compelling do cost extra, so be prepared to upgrade your service to take advantage of some of the features that set Doc360 apart as a more unique offering.

Alternatives considered

We use it to add new processes and procedures. The neat part is that its easy to access and the storage is awesome.

Pros

I love how easy it is to customize and add items and to search topics. It allows you to add titles and subtitles.

### "Powerful solution and fantastic support team."

December 19, 2024

5.0

I've been using doc360 in my current workplace on an almost daily basis for 2 years and I have to say that it's an incredibly powerful platform which offers almost all the functionality we require to meet our needs for publishing a technical help center.

Pros

I've never experienced any bugs while using it and have always found the user experience very smooth. One of the main positives of using doc360 is the incredible support and technical teams, they seem to always be available during work hours in the CET timezone and I regularly use the chat function to get immediate help. They always go the extra mile to find solutions to coding issues and every individual I've interacted with is friendly and helpful. I also like that I have the option to edit the code of an article if I can't achieve what I want to using the normal editor.

Cons

The main issue I have with doc360 is sharing previews. I'd like a similar functionality to Figma, where I can share prototypes with colleagues that don't have Figma accounts. I often spend a lot of time removing and adding new team account users just so I can share a preview with a colleague on a particular project. Doc360 have now introduced a new review role but it comes at a cost, which isn't ideal, I think it should be a basic function available in any package, as receiving feedback from colleagues is an essential part of the content writing process.

It's been great, especially with the helpful webinars. So far, I have no issues and I'm excited to dive deeper into what Doc360 has to offer.

Pros

User Interface is easy to use, easy to navigate and intuitive! I like the templates they have and how professional it looks. Collaboration wise, it is excellent in which you can make comments and tag editors. Managing audience for content is also a helpful tool.

Cons

### "It's a simple choice - use Document 360, or go for more complicated and less flexible solution!"

December 16, 2024

5.0

From start to finish, working with Document 360 and Kovai was simple. They were friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable. And the product itself did exactly what I needed it to do. If I ever have cause to build a knowledge portal again, they'll be the first company I look at!

Pros

It's incredibly easy to setup and use. It's very fast. Users love it too. The search is great. And the customer service is responsive and friendly.

Cons

Very little not to like! At the time I was using it, the only thing I wished to see (that I didn't) was a way for users to mark a document as 'needing revision.' They found a workaround which did the trick, but it would have been nice as a standalone feature.

### "decent tool for managing knowledge bases"

August 26, 2025

In general, I believe it's a good product, with a bunch of capabilities, powerful AI search functionality, but it's not so easy to use.

Pros

Cons

It's not as simple as expected to change/update the design of the knowledge base. Having a visual/inline editor would be great.

### "Reliable, comprehensive documentation solution for growing businesses"

August 16, 2023

4.0

Overall, our experience with Document360 has been very satisfying. All of our must-haves, such as mixed user access to certain articles, SSO login, customizability for our information architecture, and integration with our company's existing tools make Document360 integral to our business' knowledge management. While there have been some drawbacks, Document360's customer service team has been responsive to feedback and typically stays in communication with us to give us updates. In summary, our experience has been positive, and we will continue to leverage Document360 for our documentation needs in the future.

Pros

Many documentation software offer similar features, but Document360 is by far the most customizable that we have found out of the box. We have a relatively large volume of articles for a company of our size, and Document360 is robust enough for us to manage and track that volume easily. Some of the most important features for our business is Document360's ability to have mixed viewing access to articles depending on the user's login permissions, and the ability to implement SSO login for our users. This allows us to have the level of control we need per article depending on the reader's permissions. Document360 also integrates with many popular software that's used in companies today, including our own.

Cons

There are a few usability issues we've encountered. These have typically been related to login issues and article viewing permissions. These directly affected our users' ability to view and access our documentation seamlessly. These issues were raised with the Document360 support team, and they worked to solve these issues while keeping in communication with out team. They have since been resolved, but it was frustrating at the time and took longer than we would've liked. There are also some limitations to the integrations Document360 offers. For example, we have found we cannot track all the events we would like via Document360's Google Analytics integration. We would also like more customization options for Slack notifications.
