Pros: I think Google Analytics is one of the most useful tools that Google has provided us with reporting. Thanks to Google Analytics, we are able to recognize and act on our web site. Google Analytics provides us with our visits of our potential customers and more detailed information about how we can reach our new customers. You can gather below information:

How often is your website visited?

Where is the location of your users?

Which pages are receiving more clicks?

On what page do users spend more time?

What is the average time a user spends on your website?

What are the actions that user takes on your website?

Is the user entering your website by using a mobile phone or a desktop computer?

Time is very important for your website's potential visitors. It indicates whether the visitor has arrived by mistake or to inspect your website. It also shows how much time they spent on your page or product in detailed reports. This shows how much visitors are interested in which products you have. So, by moving the most visited product to the forefront, you can provide more indexing of Google Search engines and reach new potential customers. You can get information about which product results in higher rates by adding keywords to the product details.

Cons: It takes time to get used to the integration. Documentation is good but still, it should get better.

Overall: Google analytics provides us meaningful insights about our website so we can improve it accordingly, attract new visitors and increase our potential customers.

Pros: The sheer number of ways you can look at data. Most often I've found myself needing to check traffic from a particular channel - whether it has been organic when analyzing SEO results, or paid when trying to verify PPC campaign reporting, get an overview of all paid channels, or dig deeper and actually segment data from PPC campaigns to gain additional insight.

Google Analytics provides you with everything needed to analyze where your traffic is coming from and what it is doing on your website. You can typically answer all of the following questions by using Google Analytics - are there any particular pages that cause my visitors to leave more often than others, which are the pages that are driving most of my desired actions (conversions or goals), why is my site getting +50% more traffic like reported by my digital agency, but we're not getting anywhere near the increase in bottom line results.

Behavioral flow is something in particular which is worth noting as a major pro. I haven't seen other platforms that offer this functionality and although it is quite hard to get your head around at first, one you do there is no limit to the amount of insights one can generate to assist with conversion rate optimisation or just improve flow through the website as needed.

Cons: There is a bit of a learning curve involved, but that is not a con of the product. Google even have an Academy where you can learn about Google Analytics and even get certified.

Overall: As a Google Analytics certified professional, I am a true proponent of the product. It can be used by anyone (even absolute novices) to monitor site visitors and general ups and downs related to performance, be it from paid or organic. A typical Analytics user is the business owner who doesn't know much about the product or digital marketing, but can still use the product to keep an eye on things - ease of use is sufficient.

On the other hand, we have all the professionals - digital marketers or even hard core data analysts that can solve very complex business problems, some of which are unknown to the business before looking at the data.

Pros: We use this software on a daily basis to review data and help us make decisions about where to focus our marketing efforts, especially with social. It allows us to gather information on demographics, which is great for ad targeting, especially when you also use the Google Pixel which provides conversion data. It allows us to gather KPIs for various campaigns as well as track the success of our influencers campaigns in combination with Google Tracking URLs. We have also found that the Google Data Studio, which draws from Analytics, is one of the most effective ways to create shareable reports that can be manipulated quickly and easily for specific groups of pages, which is great for us as we have multiple segments with different target audiences. While it can take a while to learn how to navigate Google Analytics, there are great resources online to help you. You can track user behavior which is great in determining where improvements need to be made in your buyers journey.

Cons: It can take time to learn how to manipulate Google Analytics so that it provides you with the information you need but once you figure it out it is a great tool. It would be great if definitions were built in. There are many terms I was unfamiliar with and I had to do online searches to get clarification.

Overall: Google Analytics is a great tool for measuring the success of your marketing efforts as well as better understanding your audiences and their behavioral flows. It can take some time to learn but once you get the hang of it, drawing out the data you need is very simple.

Pros: Google Adwords is by far the most useful online advertising platform I have come across yet, but not for the obvious reasons. Google Adwords has various features that can serve as beneficial to any small business to large enterprise needs. My preferred tool is the keyword planner, which provides you with insight into the most popular search terms with an average monthly search volume and competition for each. Since Google has certainly monopolized today's search engines I would strongly recommend using it as your first resource when searching for key terms to include in your campaigns, website, and SEO purposes.

For more insight into the search terms that you are already ranking for and is bringing organic traffic back to your website you can look into Google Analytics and cross reference those phrases with Google Adwords to see if there are alternatives or better opportunities for you to rank in this niche. Ultimately, you are looking for key terms that have a low competition with a high monthly search volume. The secret you want low competition and high search volume. The keyword planner also lets you set up ad groups based on phrases that pertain to specific ad or topic and provides a bid estimate to give you an idea of how much it would take to run that campaign.

Cons: When setting up a Google Adwords account it is easy to get stuck in the billing cycle. If you don't wish to have a card on file or would just like to use the keyword planner to get ideas or improve on SEO you can opt out of the payment process when you first create your account.

Because we are a fairly small company we have not seen much monetary payoff for our campaign initiatives, which was limited due to a smaller marketing budget. If you want to see results you are going to have to spend the money or the ad may not reach the intended audience or large enough quantities for it to make an impact. For smaller companies, I suggest spending your time increasing your SEO, using the keyword planner - as you can gain a bunch of organic traffic to your website if done correctly and it's free.

Tips: One way to ensure the key terms or phrases you intend your content to show for is to complete a search for that term in Google and analyze its results. You can also you MOZ's plugin to compare the page authority and domain authority of the other websites shown in the search results to get a better idea if your word or newly selected word would outperform some of the current results of the first page shown on Google.

Overall: This tool has helped gain better insight into the mindset of a "Googler" as opposed to a marketer and has helped our organic traffic grow enormously.

Pros: Without question, Google Analytics (GA) is the gold standard of website analytics suites, especially since you get so much for no cost. I love that you can track multiple properties from one login, tracking conversions, behavior, visitor origin, exit point, how long they stay on your site, etc. For most people, GA is all you need to understand what is happening on your site, how well your SEO is working, the effectiveness of campaigns, etc. The reporting functionality is robust, and you can export reports to several formats for sharing. Allowing others access to GA so they can get the data is available, although the controls lack significant granularity. But the filtering of data is robust--just about any control you could want in this area is available. And since GA is everywhere, there are plugins for every major CMS that make it easy to implement on your site. I also like the new mobile app, which allows you to track your site's performance easily from your mobile device. Official documentation is robust, and there is no end of YouTube videos, blogs, and articles from third parties to assist with getting the most benefit from GA.

Cons: Data visualization on anything other that the GA site requires a separate service. GA is very complex and with Google making frequent changes to the product, it's easy to get behind with understanding where things are located and how it works. Google also seems to have eliminated one of my favorite features, the heat map, which showed where visitors were going on a page in real time.

Overall: Without Google Analytics, we would have no idea what is going on with our site. We would not understand what browsers are being used, what percentage visit with mobile devices, where visitors are coming from, etc. GA allows us to make data-informed decisions--not guesses--about where improvements need to be made. With each iteration of our site, GA guides menu creation, page layouts, site structure, etc. We are continually tweaking our websites based on the data provided by GA.

Pros: I have built a website from scratch and to monitor the traffic and analyse the data, I look at a tool that could help me. Google analytics goes far beyond my expectations when it comes to displaying analytics about my website. The simplicity with which I can integrate Google Analytics in to my website code is remarkable. Either using the analytics code or the embed source code options, I can navigate through and analyse my website traffic.

This is really great for SEO purposes too!

It shows me multiple dashboards that help to monitor real-time traffic and their locations from where site and page hits are received.

I am simply in love with the smart and beautifully designed analytics intelligence, that understands and responds to my questions appropriately.

We have different methods to view automatic insights of the website data and observe various generate visuals and reports of the same.

This helps us to track and analyse data periodically and also keeps us updated with different types of users and their access methods like language, location, new or old users, network, browsers they accessed, mobile device, etc. We can also observe the user behavior and set goals accordingly.

Cons: There must be a way to directly highlight the analytics or display the number of users on the website, that have visited the site.

No cons as such as I truly believe this is a wonderful integrated tool and can be used everywhere to track and monitor website data instantly.

Overall: Fabulous creation!

Pros: Using Google Analytics is essential when managing a web page. Since this tool allows you to have a comprehensive statistical analysis on traffic and the general behavior of our website, free.

- The first benefit of this tool is that it is free.

- It is easy to install or apply to our website.

- This tool is great to have a daily record of how many people visit our website.

- It offers detailed statistics about each of the URLs of our site that are most visited.

- Generates daily navigation reports, visiting hours and busiest places.

- Shows the number of visits to the site in real time on each of the pages.

- It details the average duration of each visit, something that allows you to analyze the contents published there to make improvements.

- Register the bounce rates of our website.

Cons: - I found it difficult to provide access to new users so that they can also review the statistics on the website.

- Only the person who has access can see, online, the statistics that the tool shows. This has generated that in our daily practice only one person must export the reports to present them to the managers of the company.

- If an account is disabled all the registered information is lost. That's why the tool forces us to take care of that initial registration as if it were gold.

Overall: I work in a telecommunications company and we manage different websites. In particular, in our communications management we administer a website that can only be viewed by internal audiences and another site that is directed to the external public of the company and the community in general.

For example, this tool has allowed us, in the case of the internal page, to know the interests of our workers regarding the news published by the company. Knowing what you want to know about our organization and has allowed us to detect that the news that reports on labor benefits, promotions and salary adjustments are the most visited month by month.

In the case of our external website, the tool allows us to visualize that the community that visits our site does so to obtain information about plans and services, as well as top-ups for their mobile devices.

Pros: You can't name yourself a blogger or a marketer if you don't use Google Analytics. Every webmaster wants to attract more and more traffic, therefore you should "convince" Google that you deliver the proper and relevant information. There is no better tool than Google Analytics to show your traffic stats because it was released by Google itself. It's logical - if you want to know how Google appreciate your site ask it for the details.

Another huge advantage of Google Analytics is the massive volume of data provided. Practically, Google Analytics gives you all the insightful data required to improve the ranking of your site. The number of visits and users, time on site, bounce rate, audience demographics, devices used to visit the site, referral sites are all that provided by Google Analytics.

Precious hint: if you want to get the most from Google Analytics, you should corroborate the information with Google Search Console. These are the all you need to run a highly successful website.

Cons: Google Analytics is an extraordinary tool, but nothing man-made is perfect. Even though it's quite useful for webmasters, it's frightening for beginners. A more user-friendly interface might be a solution. You may discover new options and features even after many months of usage. Luckily, there are many YouTube tutorials or online courses teaching how to use Google Analytics.

Some SEO experts claim that Google Analytics doesn't provide accurate data. Well, I believe that Google knows better what Google wants, isn't it? Most likely, some data isn't perfectly accurate, but for the most of it the accuracy level is satisfactory for the majority users.

Overall: Google Analytics has helped me to have a strategic overview of my site. I couldn't imagine how to manage a website without Google Analytics. It's intimidating for a beginner, but it offers way too much data to ignore it.

Comments: The service allows its customers to be aware of how your customers interact with the content provided on your website. It allows you to analyze what modernizations and adaptations are required to change your services for the better. It is definitely a solution worth recommending.

Pros: With Google Analytics, we can collect all the various KPIs for running online marketing campaigns. The program provides us with everything from page views to bounce rates, setting up different goals, etc. to measure the success of our campaigns. The functionality of Google Analytics gives us a possibility to set our benchmarks to compare what we are doing versus the metrics that we have collected in the past. It is a very robust tool, and a lot of features are packed in there. Google Analytics is a web metrics web application. With the help of Google Analytics, our employees are able to analyze visitor traffic. It also provides us with all the necessary data to make us able to paint a complete picture of who our audience is and what their needs are.

Cons: Ultimately, there is not much to dislike about Google Analytics. One of the biggest issues we face fairly regularly is the constraints on the number of goals. Besides, we would consider Google Analytics not only a solution with the easiest analytics to run but also one of the best on the market, if it gave us the ability to reprocess the information as well. In this perspective, it is really important to be careful and highly focused when creating files and naming them, tagging campaigns, etc.

Pros: Google Analytics tool helps to analyze a website in detail in all aspects. Any non-performing page of a site can be improved with the help of google analytics. Landing page optimization in a website for many pages can be done rightly by studying the data using google analytics.

The data interpretation part is the hardest part and once you are able to get it things become easier.

Some other cons include:

Pros: One of the great advantages of knowing in detail the flow of traffic on our web pages is that it allows you to know when to share the topics, whether you upload an article or new analysis on the same web page or share the links of the website in social networks.

In addition, Google Analytics statistics allow us to know the behavior and navigation of the public that is interested in the publications of our website, which allows us to see how many people visit our website, from which country, from what type of device we visit, how long they stay and what are the most relevant issues of the visitors of the website.

Cons: Although Google Analytics is a great tool and although the interface is quite intuitive, it is not as easy to use as they say, making it a little complex for beginners due to the large number of functions it has, since some aspects are difficult to find and use properly where only the simplest functions are mastered first, only with a little time you get to master the statistics of Google Analytics based on learning about the practice of learning about the trial of error and success, some graphics are missing, as the one that compares the number of visitors in the seven days of the week, as well as the use of more vivid colors in the graphics "is little colorful" although this is clearly a matter of taste, since some users prefer interfaces with graphics of different colors as is my case

Overall: Through Google Analytics, it brings a deep knowledge of the web pages in visitor traffic statistically as well as see the effectiveness of advertising, allowing to recognize possible strategic improvements of all kinds such as: content, advertising, design, use of the site and interaction of content with social networks. All this allows us to refine the design of the website and the use of keywords according to the topic searched by the visitors of the website, which will have better results up to three times better, all this revealed by the very valuable information on Google Analytics statistics sources.

Pros: Google Analytics is a must-have for any sites that's looking to exist to make a profit, directly or indirectly. The platform is easy-to-use (Google does a great job with the UI), provides quick insight on top level metrics while allowing you to dig deeper into specifics including specific pages of your site and audience segments. Additionally, there are tons of free resources online about how to utilize GA for your business and truly understand so much of what's going on via your online presence including how to set up customized goals and conversions. You don't need to have "Analyst" or "Developer" in your title to get a ton out of this tool.

Cons: If you are setting up a complex conversion funnel or need customization that's above the norm, it is more difficult than other smaller platforms to get individualized support from Google. However, there are several online forums, both Google supporter and third-party, that have a ton of great information that likely can address or assist in the problem you are addressing.

Overall: Overall I love using Google Analytics as a quick way to provide our clients updates on site performance, ROI and audience. It's such a simple tool to utilize for questions like "How much traffic did our site get? Where's the traffic coming from? Is our site more mobile or desktop traffic heavy?", etc. It's a great tool to allow anyone to be an "analyst" without diving too in the weeds while allowing true analysts to do a deep dive.

Pros: With all the other ways of measuring online traffic, Google Analytics is still one of the most reliable platforms around. With this platform you can see historical and real-time traffic data, the sources, bounce rate, and how visitors are navigating through your site. Two of the best features of GA are the ability to set up goals to measure whatever online conversions are expected from the site and the dashboards which can also be sent out as scheduled reports. GA simplifies the site monitoring process by presenting a clean interface which can be customized to show whichever metrics are most important to the site owner.

Cons: One annoying thing about Google Analytics is the way how linking between analytics and a few other platforms is handled. Users who want to link a GA view with some other platform must have admin rights on both and be logged into both at the same time. This is fine if all the properties and accounts belong to one person but when you're working with clients customized it can get tedious. Some level of trust must exist as one party must give the other admin access (even if only temporary) to make the link,

Overall: Google Analytics integrates with just about every web platform we use to enable us to do real-time analysis of what was going on with the traffic on our sites. The built-in scheduled reports feature helped us save time while also staying up to date with the traffic and conversion patterns on the site.

Pros: - it's a powerful tool for analyzing the traffic on your website or app.

- one of the features that I enjoy is the fact that you can easily set up goals for your website's form submissions or actions.

- I also like to see the real-time statistics, which can be sorted by source country, traffic source, etc.

- at work, we also use custom events - you can create custom metrics that are important for your particular business. For example, we have an event that monitors people scrolling the pages of our website, which shows us their interest in the content we have.

- Google Analytics is easily installed - either with the help of a WordPress plugin (if you use WP), Google Tag Manager, or directly to the website.

Cons: - there is no option to delete a goal once you create one and there's a limited number of goals, therefore if you need a goal, you can either change an old one that's obsolete, and the other one is to create one (if you have any left).

Overall: I have Google Analytics installed for both my personal blog as well as several corporate websites. The blog's statistics is more for mere curiosity (since it doesn't have such high traffic), the work websites are more closely and precisely tracked to see the users' activities to adapt to their demands and interest. It's a value-added service which helps us to make sure our content is tailored for the things that overlap our services and users' interest.

Pros: Search Engine Analytics for the best and most-used search engine in the world.

This is data driven reality for your site and an absolute must-use for anyone engaged in online commerce. You will know who's visiting your site, what they liked and why they found you in the first place.

It's easy to use and incredibly well-documented. You can get yourself certified to use Analytics through a Google training program and people can and do build careers out of this.

It integrates into Google Adwords, Webmaster Tools, and even with your shopping platforms like Big Commerce.

Cons: It has been said that if the service you're using is free, then you are really what is being sold.

Google is the best, but part of that is because it is the biggest - the same data it is collecting for you, it is collecting about you.

There are a lot of privacy concerns and the overall idea of Google as a monolothic Big Data entity, and using Analytics is directly feeding into it.

The price of getting all this data for free is the cost of giving up all that data and more, also for free.

There are a lot of obvious privacy and security concerns here - for most people, this is an acceptable cost of doing business. If privacy and security are major concerns for your operation, however, don't get anywhere near this.

Pros: Most in-depth analytical data than any other tool available, including those built into content management systems (CMS) and web hosting providers. Not only can you see how many unique and returning users are visiting your website, but you can also see which pages they are visiting the most, how long they spend on each page, how they accessed the site, what search engines and search phrases they use to find your site, where they click to from your site, what computer platform they use, what display resolution and color scheme they use to view it, what region of the world they're in, what mobile devices they're using to accessing your site, and more.

CMSs have multiple tools/plugins to automate the integration of your Google Analytics code to track your sites and you can also track other online activity you utilize for your organization (such as a related YouTube channel). You can also choose from multiple plugins to view your analytical data in your website's back-end or even live an in-line on the front-end.

Cons: No cons as it relates to the service itself. Just about the only thing I can think of is that it should be automatically integrated into every CMS platform available (e.g., WordPress.com, WordPress.org, Blogger, SquareSpace, PageCloud, Drupal, Joomla etc.).

Overall: As a Small Business Consultant offering Web Development services, I always integrate Google Analytics into every website I create. It is one of the most valuable resources for any business, organization or blogger who owns and manages their own website. I also make sure that the analytical reports are easily accessible through their website's back-end and on their mobile device via their preferred Google Analytics app.

Pros: Google analytics provides meaningful insights about my audience and allows me to better cater my digital marketing strategy to get to my target audience. It provides precise data such as average session duration as well as pages per session. In the past my website clicks were good but average session duration was very low which told me that I need to improve on my website appearance. I worked on my website to make it more appealing and the average duration that a visitor spends on my website increased. Hence, google analytics allowed me to make the business improvement and showed the results of those changes.

All in all, it is great to see and analyze how different digital marketing tactics are impacting the various criteria which tells you a lot about your audience.

Cons: It takes some time to learn what the different numbers mean and where they are coming from. It would be nice if there was some description beside each data explaining what exactly it indicates. I had to research a little to learn what it all meant.

Overall: Overall, as long as the data is read correctly knowing what it means, its great to show where your traffic is coming from and what they are doing on your website. All this analysis helps you make smart business decisions and even compare different alternatives to see what works with your target audience.

Pros: Google Analytics is a classic option for website analytics. It's free to set up, easy to use (once you poke around a bit) and it gives you insights that can make you real money.

I know it sounds corny, but if you have a website you need to know all about your visitors. How are they showing up, how long do they stay, where do they and how close do they get to buying. You can look at all that and more inside Google Analytics (as long as you set it up right).

It's an absolute homerun that every website owner needs. It's the classic in the industry for a reason...you can trust it. Any Google runs most web traffic, so you should play nice with their analytics and search console.

Cons: Google Analytics can be intimdating to everyone. For new or less technchnologically advanced people, it can be overwhelmiing. IT takes some time to setup and get everything swuared away, but once it's set you'll be happy.

Id recommend watching a few guides or videos if you've never used it before. It's user friendly once you're inside, it's more the technical implemntation that will throw you off.

Overall: This is the core staple of your website analytics. Get to know it well and you'll be able to imprve and do the things that make you money better. I know data can stink at times, but I promise that this data will be worth it.

Pros: Google Analytics (GA) is free* to use and offers a ton of nice features. You can view your website visitors data in realtime, make visitor segments, track how many people visited your website in a certain timespan, how succesful your online campaigns are (Google Ads, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit,...), how your visitors browse your website (phone, tablet, computer) and more.

Google Analytics is very easy to install, most online platforms like WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, Magento and many others offer a plugin where you just need to add your GA user id and you're good to go. More advanced features like e-commerce data are also very easy to install and start tracking.

you can use Google Data Studio to create stunning reports.

It is a must have for every business owner with a website!

Cons: Google Analytics can be a bit overwhelming at first, because of the nearly endless possibilities. They do have starter guidance in the form of tutorials, but if you need more in-depth information you'll need to either browse the Google forums or just use Google or Youtube.

Overall: Google Analytics gave me great insight into the demographics, behavior and flows of our visitors. It allows me track how succesfull social media campaigns are so we can continue to improve them.

Pros: Best thing is that it's free and basically easy to set up initially. You don't need developer knowledge to use its basic features and you get a lot of value - understanding your audience and customer behavior. You DO need however some coding experience to use advanced features as tracking specific user actions on website, setting up goal funnels, implementing e-commerce tracking, cross-device tracking, using custom dimensions, etc. This however is well explained in Google analytics developer documentation.

You can link to other Google products like Google Ads, Google Search console and Google optimize to get more data into Google analytics.

Another helpful feature is the offline data import - which can help you import for ex. CRM information into Google analytics to help you make better analysis of conversions and customer behavior.

Cons: It really takes a lot of time to master and get the maximum of the tool.

There are some limitations like data sampling in reports or other features which are missing in the free Google Analytics but you can get with the Premium (Google Analytics 360) - which is really costly.

The free version also has a limited number of goals, custom dimensions, custom metrics you can set (20 of each).

Pros: Google Analytics gives an in-depth understanding of the type of traffic you are receiving to your website. From real-time visitors who are actually on your site, to a comprehensive year over year comparison of the quality of traffic and conversions, you can find it all in Google Analytics. When you are developing your website, it is extremely important to ensure that you are tagging events and actions appropriately, but if Analytics is set up on your website correctly, it's an absolute game changes for helping you understand your website audience.

Cons: While you can learn an immense amount about the traffic that's hitting your website from Google Analytics, getting certified in the software can be a bit time consuming. Having worked through the process with both technical resources and marketing resources, I've found that both struggle in certain areas of the certification -- the technical resources struggling in truly understanding (or caring to understand) the numbers and the marketing resources struggling to understand the implementation process (tagging, events, actions, setup, etc). However, once the software is in place, there is no denying that it's incredibly helpful for everyone involved in a website project/business of any kind.

Pros: Let's face it - the world runs on data. Numbers often drive our business decisions, so analytics are a must. We have to know what's working or not working in the digital space. I appreciate that Google offers one of the most robust platforms for looking at our analytics, and it has more information than I would ever need to know - or could possibly understand. You can log in from anywhere, have different access levels for different sites, and (most often) find exactly the number you're looking for. It's a software we can't live without, even though I consistently find myself hating it (more on that later).

Cons: Analytics feel like the kind of thing everyone needs access to, but no one really knows how to understand. You practically need another degree just to decipher the menu titles and field descriptions. Even if you do know what you're looking at, it doesn't mean you know what it means. Is that spike in traffic because someone linked to you, or because you visited your own website 100 times that day? There's a lot you need to understand about analytics before you get into the dashboard to take a look. It's definitely not for casual users, and can be a frustrating experience for people when they start out. You can usually find what you need, but it might take you longer than you think.

Overall: We appreciate that we have Google Analytics when we need it (though I don't find myself accessing it that often). It's most effective when someone on your team is well versed in reading analytics and can help the team pull the numbers they're looking for and interpret what they mean. Sure, some people hate it - but let's face it, we can't live without it. It's the world we live in now.

Pros: Once you get the hang of how to use it, there's a lot of data you can gather. You can get very specific details about your website and your customers and use the data to make adjustments to how you do your marketing and build your site.

Cons: There are inconsistencies from one section to another, especially with timelines. And it's hard to find an answer. For example, I will pull data for the past year and then compare it to the previous year. I'll get two different sets of numbers... then when I review both years at the same time, the sum of numbers doesn't match when I pulled the data year by year. In addition, when you try to contact their support... you never know what you're going to get. The majority of the time it feels like you're speaking to someone who knows about the same or less about the program than you do and they're reading from a script. Once in a while you'll luck out and get someone who really knows what they're talking about and you get somewhere... but a lot of the times it's simply a struggle. They don't keep their resources up to date so you'll often see older versions referenced on their help pages and you're forced to look elsewhere to find answers to your questions.

Overall: Overall, we are pleased with the program. It does require a large amount of time and effort and using it regularly to get to a point where you can clearly understand what you're looking at and where to find certain pieces of data. We use it everywhere from simply seeing how site is performing to how things like social and email are driving people to our site and making purchases. You do have to have an understanding of how to properly tag links in order to clearly see your data, though.

Pros: Google Analytics is a must-have for every business owner, blogger, and web site developer. When running an ecommerce site, it's critical that you know exactly where your visitors and conversion are coming from so that you can optimize your content to meet your goals. Analytics is a free tool from Google that lets you do just that. After placing the tracking code on your site, you can have a live view of who is on your site, where they are from, the device that they are using to view your site, and the pages that they are viewing. Dive in deeper to analytics for more critical information such as customer acquisition, behavior, referral source, keywords used, and more.

Cons: Since my store is hosted on BigCommerce, I had a very hard time getting my ecommerce data flowing when I was using the tracking code provided by Google. As it turns out, BigCommerce sites need some extra code to be added in order for your ecommerce data to properly flow. Once I figured that out, everything worked perfectly.

Overall: Google Analytics is a critical tool for the success of my business. It has given us invaluable insights into our customers' behavior which in turn, tells us how to improve the functionality of our site.

Comments: Google Analytics is basic and it should be the first analytical asset in your portfolio. If you would like to see only summary statistics and numbers, Google Analytics is exactly what you need. You are able to see numbers of sessions, visits, views of site and sources from which your website traffic came. Moreover, you are able to setup event tracking and see for example, how your button performs, or how people are downloading your PDF document.

Pros: It has many functions and features - my favorite is Enhanced E-commerce. Thanks to this feature, you are able to measure how well your e-shop perform - what are people buying, how many conversion/transactions day did and what are your revenues. It's very useful for every e-shop. Than possibility of event tracking and goals, the set-up is a big plus. Another pro is, that Google Analytics is commonly used - so you will find many guidebooks and how-to manuals. And in the end - it's free.

Cons: The limitation of Google Analytics comes to the discussions when you would like to measure more user-focused interactions. I mean, if you would like to see, what particular user is doing on the website, which button did the user click on. Yes, they have in Google Analytics user-id feature. But it has also limitation - you are not able to assign user activities before he was logged-in to his/her account.

Recommendations to other buyers: For e-commerce and normal website it's really useful tool. If you would like to have more user-based analytics, go for something else.

Pros: It tracked and analyzed most of the information and data we needed for our websites (which are all used for different purposes: media outlets, ecommerce...) It's super useful for us to learn our audience and their behavior and from their we could increase our traffic, we even linked and used some small trick to get it analyze all different sources our traffics are coming from. It's especially helpful for our ecommerce store when we could track which products customers are spending time the most on before buying in order to improve our marketing and thus increase our sales and profits. 100% recommend!

Cons: It would be cool if there's a feature to group the websites to one dashboard and compare their performance. We have a very long list of websites on our GA account and that to see one by one is pretty time consuming, especially ones in the same service industry. But that's only a tiny complain compare to a huge benefit it brings us!

Overall: We're satisfied with Google Analytics and all the data it brings us within clicks. We love it that it has real time tracking as well! we love paring it with Google Data Studio for client presentation or team meeting! Awesome product and is a ease to use!

Pros: It is free to use, Gives you all the required and needed analytics about your website that will help you make UI decision for good. On top they keep adding new features and there is Customer Behavior. I can easily pull a report for the last year and this year to compare how my digital & social media marketing did. It give essential information about Geo-location that will tell you what you are doing is either right / wrong. I can also see real time audience on my dashboard. I always connect my Adwords to Analytics this creates an Eco-system that businesses charge thousands of dollars to provide. Google Analysis your data for free and gives you a breakdown if you need.

Cons: It is difficult to understand. Analytics is not for everyone. You have to navigate around to find what features you can use to improve the analysis of data. According to my experience, some online classes and an interest for data will help you learn this faster.

Overall: I use Google Analytics everyday for 3 websites. I know what i want to see and what i can use from it. It is easy to troubleshoot as Google has all the solutions to the problems that will arise. Google Analytics is not going anywhere for me.

Pros: It's really exciting to see how your work is having an effect in real time. I love using the Calendar toggles to try and work out what I did when to bring the traffic onto our platform.

This type of software is a million miles away from the natural techinical ability I have. Every time I build a new website the intergration abilities are getting easier and easier.

Cons: It's really hard to keep a product that can do so much for experts and that intermediates can also enjoy without getting over whelmed. There are a few things I'd like to work out that don't really present themself well. present obviously to me. I would like to create tracked links easier, like bitly, just put the url in and off you go. I know it's only a matter of watching a few toutorials but when your going at a million miles an hour it's hard to know what to invest your time in understanding if you can't see the value at the end of the tunnel.

Overall: I think it's been a bit frustrating because I can see all these things I want to play around with but don't have the time. But on the other hand it's an invaluable tool that I couldn't do without. I do respect Google for giving this software away for free -100%.

Pros: Google Analytics provides the most useful data to website owners, marketing professional & the decision makers to analyze & interpret data to take a better decision and to improve results. Google offers this tool for free and it's easy to implement. Once implemented this tool will give you the daily users action on your website. We can study user behavior, navigation, customer action and many more from Google Analytics, this always help us to understand what's working and what's not. The real-time data is just awesome. Google also provides mobile apps for analytics that one can install and track the performance.

Cons: Though it tracked data in real-time still many reports are delayed by an hour. The premium version is very expensive. Most of the time we can see Google Analytics unable to track the keywords accurately.

Overall: I have been using Google Analytics for more than 10 years now, used this tool for E-commerce portal, lead generation sites and found it as an excellent tool that every marketing person need on a daily basis. Google analytics makes our job easier as it provides the option to customize various reports and schedule it.

Pros: Google Analytics is easy to implement and captures a lot of useful data about your website. It allows you to see an overview of web statistics and in-depth analytics about user behavior, acquisition, etc. so you can make smart decisions on what to change / what to monitor. Google Analytics is so well known that when I have a problem, there are so many tutorials and forum articles for getting the information I'm looking for.

Cons: Google Analytics is a lot. By that, I mean there are so many features, settings and nuances to Analytics, it's difficult to be a master of this software and it's easy to get overwhelmed. There's definitely a learning curve to really understanding and using Analytics as a tool for change.

Overall: Google Analytics is the standard when it comes to web analytics. As a marketing agency employee, we use it for every client and every website we're involved with. There are so many great Analytics integrations and there's so much you can do with this great tool. And the best part? It's free to sign up and install. It should be a no brainer when it comes to installing this on your website and getting to learn it as Google Analytics is not disappearing anytime soon.

Pros: Google provides this tool for free which helps me track real-time stats on my website. The dashboard is easy to understand and you can add a lot of metrics and dimensions in case you're doing a report for your client on their site. It is easy to set up, no hassle at all and the fact that you can integrate popular online marketing tools with Google Analytics make it a must-have tool for any online marketer. Getting to know my most popular pages, where visitors are coming from, the devices and browsers they are using to visit my site is very important to me...and Google analytics helps me with all these.

Cons: As internet marketing is becoming more diverse, I think websites require more insight than just what Google Analytics can offer. Even though it tells you where visitors are coming from, pages they land on, devices they use, demographics and so on, it doesn't really explain what visitors do and why they do it.

Overall: I have quite a number of websites. Some I own and some I manage for clients. I use Google analytics app on my phone to check real time stats. It's a freemium tool that I'll recommend any day.

Pros: This tool allows an in-depth analysis of the needs of each company and its users seen from an online interactive statistical analysis, so the tool allows the user to learn based on the statistical tables in a smart way how to act in response to the needs of each of the market elements that intervene in its specific setor, the company that does not have this role of Google loses competitiveness in the market as it offers the option of knowing what are the essential elements that are making our competition and that are published on websites that are vital elements for the prosperity of our business

Cons: The difficulties that the application has in my opinion is that Analytics is designed to work with advertising products this can generate false and erratic information because if what I want is to promote my company I will not incur in placing negative data. On the other hand, the interface for loading documents and shareable reports depends on the Internet service providers and the software used by the different users, generating difficulties in sharing these resources.

Overall: It allows predicting the activities of the competition from their activity on the internet and through their data predict consumer behavior as well as cost structures and other resources.

Pros: Google Analytics is the best analytics platform I have used and still using. Being a blogger and also an internet marketer you need this to be able to track your visitors behavior in your site. Since I started blogging in 2012 that was when I started using analytics then using blogger platform and later when I moved to WordPress platform I have to install the Google Analytics plugin because it is the best for me as it comes with all the tools I need to track my visitors behavior, visitors gender, location etc. Google Analytics is one of the best analytics software out there.

Cons: I have not really seen any lapses during my time of using Google Analytics except for some time that there will difference in the recording between my WordPress platform analytics and my Google Analytics plugin. But still I trust the record of Google Analytics more than any other analytics software because it is very accurate and show in-depth analysis.

Overall: During when I have been using Google Analytics I have never really seen any software like that which can perform all the functions that Google Analytics perform.

Pros: - Works really well and does not generally cause site load problems

- Gives excellent useful data from site visitors and allows for you to run reports on history of the site

- Allows you to filter data based on your needs and export information for custom reporting

- Now shows if you have active visitors and what page they are on

- Click path reports are nice to see how users are entering and then interacting with your site

Cons: - Make sure you don't install Google Analytics code with Google Tag Manager code as it will total mess up your numbers and site time visits.

- Customer support is nearly non-existent. It is a free product, but it is worth mentioning

- Not as user friendly as other software

- Google likes to change the interface without notice and without instructions on how to use the new one, which is a pain. They don't do it terribly often but when they do it stinks.

Overall: I love Google Analytics and can't even remember the last site I have run that didn't use it. It is free and offers good insight into the type of visitors your website is gathering. They have continued to improve the product over the years and it has really stepped into its own in the last 2 years or so. I still recommend using other more advanced paid services for busy websites or e-com sites, but for normal small business Google Analytics is often all you will need. There is a ton of free online support for how to use the software which is nice considering you can't call Google with questions. That said, it is free and there is nothing to loose in trying it out.

Pros: Google Analytics is FREE, and integrates quickly and readily into other Google Suite products (Ads, Data Studio, DCM, DBM, etc). Extensive Google and community documentation mean that if there's a problem, you can likely find a bunch of solutions and insights from other users. Data exports are clean and ready to analyze, and customized reporting is awesome.

Cons: It does model information (when dealing with lots of analytics data), so it shouldn't be considered the absolute truth of web analytics. Trouble-shooting can be challenging, and full deployment in ecommerce, landing pages, etc., can be tricky if you're working with a bunch of people. It is powerful and well-documented online through third-party users, though Google customer service isn't responsive or usually particularly knowledgeable (it can be frustrating getting any kind of useful answer on a problem)

Overall: I've used Google Analytics as a digital marketing specialist and data analyst for years. It is used industry-wide to understand traffic patterns on a webpage, gauge campaign performance, and understand how people interact with and use a website.

Pros: I do digital marketing campaigns, and I use Google Analytics every day for insights, for creating remarketing audiences.

If you want to know what goes on when a user visits your website, Google Analytics something for you.

If you want to know where users are dropping off or which interactions are the ones triggering a conversion, then you need Google Analytics.

I feel confident that the trends I'm identifying in my website are correct because nobody tracks data like Google.

Also, whenever I have a problem, there are tons of resources in the Help section, and you can even chat with an agent to solve any problems you might have.

You don't need to know how to use Google Analytics; If you need to know how to do something in Google Analytics, just Google it.

It's free. It's by Google. Do you really need another reason to try this product.

Cons: The only con I can mention, and it's a real bugger, is that all data is not available. Google claims to be protecting user anonymity, but I know for a fact that some of the information that appears as (not set) is, in fact, available in Analytics 360, the paid version of the product.

If you want to know the queries that users type to reach your website, then you better visit Google Search Console, another great, free Google product.

Overall: I use it every day and I'm confident that the decisions derived from the data gathered by Analytics have a solid base.

Pros: Google analytics is very easy to setup on websites for most persons ,even for people who have very basic technical knowledge like myself. It is dynamic and thus provides real time information about activity on our website and mobile app.

It is free,at least my organization uses the free version to great effect. It is remotely accessible too from multiple locations and device types, provided I am able to login to the associated gmail account.

Cons: As uncommon as it is to say this about any Google product,I think navigation is the major bottleneck I have come to associate with Google analytics. It is very difficult to find ones way around this program ,primarily because it is overly clustered together. It does not probably matter how long you have been using Google analytics, everyone seem to miss their navigation one way or another with this tool.

Overall: Google analytics is used by multiple departments in my organization ,with the primary goal of better tracking our website and mobile app. stats .By leveraging on Google analytics, the marketing department is better able to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies and approach , the development team uses analytics to measure key technical stats like mobile compatibility of pages ,average load time etc

Pros: After I learned more about Google Analytics, I realized I could create the avatars of people entering my site. I did 4 avatars based on what I learned from Google Analytics. And by reciting what I've noted (from what device is coming from, what interests it has, at what time is on my site, which pages is visiting, what keywords use to get on the site, etc.), I figured out what content to create further. I like that after you realize what the audience is, you can create goals to keep track of.

Cons: Originally when I used the application it was a bit difficult because I did not really understand with what the data I'm reading is helping me. If you're a beginner, I'd recommend you to learn more about how Google makes indexation, SEO and marketing.

Overall: I use Google Analytics for my blog to track evolution. You can find out from which sites your visitors are coming from. You can create promotion campaigns, but I'm not sure yet that I can manage to choose the right keywords. But as blogger I'm interested in creating organic traffic and Google Analytics gives this insides.

Pros: The free version does everything you need out of the box. It is very easy to set up by adding the tracking code to your website footer or in Google Tag Manager.

Goal tracking and event tracking for eCommerce is also easily done and provides invaluable data. You are able to see a full user journey from the start of the funnel to sale, and pinpoint any areas of high drop-off or bounce rate.

From an SEO perspective, it can tell you which pages have the best content by looking at their bounce rate and user session time. This data can then be used to improve user experience, website conversion rate, and identify areas that need improvement.

The data is presented in a very well illustrated format and easily customisation by date or by any segment you could think of.

Cons: Is prone to some server errors at time which can be frustrating when you're trying to retrieve data. Setting up goals can also seem complicated at first if you are a novice at coding or more intermediary web design.

Pros: Ever since i started building websites for clients and also monitoring clicks from various platforms to the website, google analytics affords me the avenue for a more robust reporting of web visitors than other analytics trackers online. Also Google analytics makes it easier for me to create and customize filters and give real time overview of activities and traffic on the website. I can also create additional profile for members of my digital marketing team to analyze on the go. To top it all, it's free and not paid.

Cons: Some of the downside i have encountered with google analytics tool is basically the complex advanced customization which makes it hard for a newbie to understand and also using google analytics i sometimes encounter on some of my clients websites with huge traffic, there are data issues and doesn't reflect on the site overview.

Overall: Google analytics helps me a lot in my digital marketing and search engine optimization services as I can measure real time the traffic statistics and also the source of traffic to a website

Pros: While this Analytics also works on websites, it's especially useful If you're just starting out on youtube and are planning to be in for a long run. I would encourage you to use this service as this tells who your audience is and what kind of content they're most engaging with.

Analytics also tells you all about your audience's age group, their watch time on every single video, where they're from and how your video(s) ranks in search results. You really need to know what's working and what isn't and all this data can be helpful while planning the direction of your channel in order for it grow successfully.

My top features of Analytics are:

1. Insight into your Audience

2. Where are the most most users coming from

3. Ability to see the sources which drive the views

4. Real time updates of everything mentioned above

Cons: Nothing bad to say as it only helps us to grow and be better at what we do.

Overall: It's been great getting to know the audience and what they're preferences are.

Pros: This web analytics tool provides a large amount of data and metrics, allowing users to track in depth what happens on their web pages. Google analytics generates detailed reports on the number of visits, the sources of traffic, the duration of the visits, the sections preferred by the users, the keywords used, among others. What I like most is that it is completely free and very easy to use, it also allows you to customize the reports only with the information that the user wants to know. The data and analysis it provides are completely reliable and accurate.

Cons: This tool works with javascript and this can harm users who do not have this function activated since they will not be visible to google analytics, it is also a bit complex to use and understand their operation.

Overall: The experience has been truly rewarding. Google analytics provides truly useful data to understand the behavior of our users and provides reliable analysis that facilitates decision making. I have implemented it several times and my clients have been totally satisfied.

Pros: It never hurts to have Google Analytics monitoring your website. The fact that almost every web design, SEO, and marketing software/platform integrates with it speaks volumes. Not to mention, Google controls 2/3 of all internet search traffic - you would be insane not to use the tools they give you for free! Plus, it integrates with Search Console and a handful of other tools from Google that can give you a 360* view of your website, what's working, what's not, and where you need to focus your attention to improve.

Cons: There's a pretty steep learning curve to the software and trying to find the right answer to a question can be a bit confusing and hard to acheive. While there is a decent user community to ask for help & Google has made some changes recently to address this, there could be an easier, more layman-friendly way to present the info.

Overall: We've successfully been able to plug gaps in website coverage and boost traffic to our website via both organic and paid traffic using the tools that Google Analytics provide.

Pros: Google Analytics is an excellent way for us to determine a number of different statistics about our websites. It helps determine the pages people visit, how long they visit, and what they are aiming for. We can configure goals that let us know if they hit the pages we want them to hit.

It helps determine who our visitors are. Are they finding us through searches, referrals, or if they launch our website directly.

All this data helps us to figure out the best experience possible for our users, which hopefully means good outcomes.

Cons: Well, in a way, analytics is kind of "Big Brother." We can see quite a bit of details (anonymously) about our visitors. This is the type of information your mother warned you about :).

Like many Google interfaces, they can be a little sluggish.

Information can be delayed, and some shared IPs that source a lot of traffic can give confusing results (or incorrect geographic locations).

Overall: Google Analytics is a must-have for any website. It gives you a tremendous amount of detail so you can plan accordingly. Are people not hitting the links you want them? Why is that? How often are they looking at various content.

In the past we relied on "hit counters," but this is soo much more than that. Not enough social networking sources, focus on that. Weak search engine visitors, focus on that.

Not reaching our goal URLs? You'll find out what's working, and whats not working. Which is what you really need to do.

Pros: As a webmaster, Google analytics is a very good tool I have used, It makes me know who is currently on the website, their country and the traffic source used to land on the site. I can see the page visitors are interacting with most. and with this information, I can optimize the page better.

Another cool thing is you can track the device people used most, this really helps my SEO, I was able to optimize the mobile page because about 76% visits my website with a mobile phone.

Cons: There's is a learning curve to really understands how to use the tool.

The if you disable javascript from your browser, some features will not function

The icon to add a new website was not visible and it is not easy to locate

Overall: With Google Analysis, I can track my adverts and I will be able to know which one is performing better than the other because I can see real-time where the visitor is coming from.

I make my products targeted to the top 5 countries of the website. with these pieces of information, my website and perform better both in the search and with paid adverts

Pros: Google Analytics is the default standard when its comes to analytics measurement and analysis. It's a position well earned. With the right know how you can track almost anything you'd need to know about your web properties and its free! The only thing the tool asks in return is some time to learn how to use it properly.

Cons: It's complex. Google Analytics gets a bad name because it's not exactly the easiest thing to use. Trying to figure out exactly how to use it to its full effect can be a challenge and a full-time job, which it is for many people. The complexity ends up turning a lot of people off from what is ultimately one of the most robust and useful tools Google puts out.

Overall: As an agency we Implement all of our clients sites if they don't already have it. We're able to measure the performance of paid ad campaigns, organic campaigns, bounce rates, get insights into visitor demographics... you name it, Google analytics provides it. And it allows us to give our clients a full picture of how their website is working for their business. We couldn't do business without it.

Pros: The user interface is easy to use and the reporting customization is vast. Being able to understand my web traffic and user behavior, where they visit the most on my website, and what brought them there is powerful. I regularly use the app on the go and it allows me to monitor traffic. Real time traffic is probably my favorite tool as it allows me to confirm consistent trends over time and throughout the day.

Cons: It would be great if it allowed me to roll up the results of multiple properties. With more than 30 websites in an account, I have to manually check each website traffic and add manually to determine total traffic. I know there is an expensive option to get that feature, but it would be great if that was available on the standard analytics.

Overall: Overall, analytics has allowed me to make adjustments to my website for better optimization and user experience, and allowed me to compare historical and present performance to ensure I am growing my traffic. It's a great tool that provides a lot of value and I highly recommend it on every website.

Pros: The best part about Google Analytics or GA is that it is free. For no cost you get great insights, reports and dashboards about your website's users, google ads campaigns, bing ads campaigns and other campaigns whether paid or social.

It offers such a vast array of reports for example user location, operating system and cities of traffic. Another great feature is that you can view secondary metrics for dimensions. For example for your paid campaigns you can see in the secondary dimension which countries brought in the most traffic or goal completions. All this data in the same screen and the same report.

Cons: Google Analytics has some many options and reports that it is very difficult to single out areas with limitations.

I would say the only issue occurs when Google Analytics takes away data that was previously given for free. For example search query report data for organic traffic sometimes have limited data.

Overall: Probably the best Analytics software on the planet

Pros: Google analytics allows you to review real time, digestable, and useable data about end users interfacing with your website customer interaction. You can build reports for how they find you, when they find you, and what they do once they find you. No other tool offers the level of viability and compatibility.

Cons: what other options do you really have? Like most google products they are the only viable options in the space especially if google search is a large part of your analyzation equation. My biggest problem with Google as a whole is they understand this better than you do and approach customer service and support accordingly. They know they are the only game in town and will accept your money but cost focus the entire process into automation. Without issues or complex problems the process mostly works. On the other hand if you have outside the box atypical issues Google stands for "good luck with that"

Overall: we build websites and Google analytics is an invaluable tool for our customers

Pros: Analytics is great. It has a steep learning curve but there is so much documentation out there and free resources that even the least Google-savvy user can figure it out. They are also constantly improving their documentation via the site as well as the myriad third-party sites out there that specialise in it. So once you get your head around getting the code on your site and start monitoring you can see the borderline creepy information about your site visitors in-depth, you can customise your sales funnel, tailor your content and myriad other things all by understanding the traffic that touches your site. This is an invaluable tool for anyone in web development.

Cons: For those new to the industry the learning curve and gettign set up can be more than a chore, but once you have seen a video or two this thing is a synch!

Overall: Overall, all of my clients successes are indebted at least in part, to Google Analytics. It's an invaluable tool that should be used by every site on the net.
