Pros

I like the e-commerce feature the most. You can easily check the performance of your products and identify top sellers or products which aren't selling well. You can use this data for example to optimize your Google Ads shopping campaigns. Furthermore, the tool gives you insights about your targeting groups like age, gender, devices and more. This is also really helpful to optimize your campaigns.

Cons

It's not so easy to implement Google Analytics, especially the e-commerce feature. You need to implement dynamic values like price or amount of a product. Beginners need some time to get adjust to the tool. It's almost impossible to become an expert in Google Analytics 360 if you didn't recieve some kind of professional training.

Google analytics does not require any presentation for any company or even a developer, which is my case, I can understand if I am respecting the good practices required by Google and other search engines.

Pros

It helps me a lot to understand the traffic of visitors to the websites I develop and understand how to continually improve. The reports are quite illustrative.

Cons

Maybe it's just the fact that they changed the name of some features, but I believe it's an adaptation phase, right after getting the certification I believe I'll overcome everything.

This is the core staple of your website analytics. Get to know it well and you'll be able to imprve and do the things that make you money better. I know data can stink at times, but I promise that this data will be worth it.

Pros

Google Analytics is a classic option for website analytics. It's free to set up, easy to use (once you poke around a bit) and it gives you insights that can make you real money. I know it sounds corny, but if you have a website you need to know all about your visitors. How are they showing up, how long do they stay, where do they and how close do they get to buying. You can look at all that and more inside Google Analytics (as long as you set it up right). It's an absolute homerun that every website owner needs. It's the classic in the industry for a reason...you can trust it. Any Google runs most web traffic, so you should play nice with their analytics and search console.

Cons

Google Analytics can be intimdating to everyone. For new or less technchnologically advanced people, it can be overwhelmiing. IT takes some time to setup and get everything swuared away, but once it's set you'll be happy. Id recommend watching a few guides or videos if you've never used it before. It's user friendly once you're inside, it's more the technical implemntation that will throw you off.

GA is instrumental to analyzing how customers interact with our web platform. You can view customer engagement per page/link/tile clicks etc and it also helps look into which marketing forms lead to the most customer engagement. Overall, this tool is 10/10 in my book and vital to any ecommerce based business.

Pros

It's difficult to pick just one feature that I like the most about GA because it's such a useful platform, but I like most of all how much you can drill down your site data. If I want to look at customer engagement/clicks/site behaviour etc. from a very broad standpoint or a very specific link/tile/timeframe, the power is all yours and really helps pin point certain scenarios & reactions on the site and help understand why something (or why not) received a lot of customer engagement.

Cons

If you aren't familiar with GA it can be very overwhelming at first to figure out how to navigate all of the different dashboards and functionalities. I really recommend watching tutorials and partnering with co-workers who know what they're doing if you're a new user.

Overall, I would rate my experience with Google Analytics 9/10. I believe it is an outstanding platform for a free application. If it wasn't for the amount limitations I've experienced with simple things within the platform, I would have rated this 10/10.

Pros

The thing I find most appealing about Google Analytics is its ease of implementation as well as its ease of use. While taking a course prior to using Google Analytics isn't entirely necessary, I highly recommend prior to implementing and utilizing Google analytics that you take a course online to understand the ins and outs of the platform. There is a ton of free information out there on Google Analytics that can really help new users quickly learn the platform. The more you familiarize yourself with Google Analytics, the better you will become at leveraging the platform for your particular business needs. This platform overall is great because it's free and can provide a very solid foundation for your business analytics.

Cons

It took me a while into using the platform to figure out what can be improved for Google Analytics. While it is an excellent platform to use for your business traffic analytics, I would advise people to be aware that it does come with its limitations. For example, you're limited to the amount of widgets (graphs, charts, etc.) you can include on one dashboard. For some users, this may not be a big deal, however for my company, this was a bit of an issue at times. This is a simpler example of Google Analytics' limitations, however once you dig a bit deeper into the platform and deal with events, goals, adding custom dimensions and metrics through APIs, you will likely find limitations in your corner with regards to the configuration of your data in some instances. This is why I would advise anyone to research using Google Analytics prior to implementing it. F=I would like to point out that for companies with ecommerce platforms, I've observed that this is the best type of website to utilize Google Analytics for.

Few of the things that I liked about the GA360: - It provides the person working on this to Create a Master Property/Sub-Property and Roll Up property which was not available in other tools - With this we have got the Limits removed like usually GA (Free Version) works best and records upto 10 Million Hits in a month whereas with GA360 this limits were removed. -The Reporting Capability of the Tools is improved as the we can see all the queries and keywords the users are using to reach our websites which was not available GA(Free Version)

Cons

\- Usually we need to purchase the whole Package of Google Marketing Platform which may not be of use if they don't want to use the other tools in GMP. - We cannot test the Setup of the Properties before making the changes live.

Reason for choosing Google Analytics 360

We chose the Google Analytics 360 platform as it is very easy to use and have integration options available for free or at cheaper cost and is an cheaper alternatives to other platforms.

Pros

Google Analytics gives an in-depth understanding of the type of traffic you are receiving to your website. From real-time visitors who are actually on your site, to a comprehensive year over year comparison of the quality of traffic and conversions, you can find it all in Google Analytics. When you are developing your website, it is extremely important to ensure that you are tagging events and actions appropriately, but if Analytics is set up on your website correctly, it's an absolute game changes for helping you understand your website audience.

Cons

While you can learn an immense amount about the traffic that's hitting your website from Google Analytics, getting certified in the software can be a bit time consuming. Having worked through the process with both technical resources and marketing resources, I've found that both struggle in certain areas of the certification -- the technical resources struggling in truly understanding (or caring to understand) the numbers and the marketing resources struggling to understand the implementation process (tagging, events, actions, setup, etc). However, once the software is in place, there is no denying that it's incredibly helpful for everyone involved in a website project/business of any kind.

To the uninitiated, Google Analytics may seem overwhelming. We also had some issues with merging Analytics accounts (as we had to create separate ones for our website and app).

Overall am happy with Google Analytics because I can get the overview report of the users who are landing in my website, real-time data, platform wise and country wise are worth the software, I expect more detailed user data to engage a better content for the user.

Pros

The feature I like the most is that it gives a real time view of the users who accessed m website in the last 30 minutes, it helps me to know the real-time traffics

Cons

Apart from getting the data of users from country wise or platform wise, Google Analytics doesn't provide much data even though Google can provide a lot more and few times I find missing or inaccurate data. As an administrator I expect more user data, So I can provide a content which user expects.

Overall, we are pleased with the program. It does require a large amount of time and effort and using it regularly to get to a point where you can clearly understand what you’re looking at and where to find certain pieces of data. We use it everywhere from simply seeing how site is performing to how things like social and email are driving people to our site and making purchases. You do have to have an understanding of how to properly tag links in order to clearly see your data, though.

Pros

Once you get the hang of how to use it, there’s a lot of data you can gather. You can get very specific details about your website and your customers and use the data to make adjustments to how you do your marketing and build your site.

Cons

There are inconsistencies from one section to another, especially with timelines. And it’s hard to find an answer. For example, I will pull data for the past year and then compare it to the previous year. I’ll get two different sets of numbers... then when I review both years at the same time, the sum of numbers doesn’t match when I pulled the data year by year. In addition, when you try to contact their support... you never know what you’re going to get. The majority of the time it feels like you’re speaking to someone who knows about the same or less about the program than you do and they’re reading from a script. Once in a while you’ll luck out and get someone who really knows what they’re talking about and you get somewhere... but a lot of the times it’s simply a struggle. They don’t keep their resources up to date so you’ll often see older versions referenced on their help pages and you’re forced to look elsewhere to find answers to your questions.

Google Analytics is really a game changer in that phase, starting from setting up the campaign to analyze the results everything is easier to setup and easy to work in the collaborative way.

Pros

One of the best thing with Google Analytics is, easiness, it is easy to implement and adoptable as per the needs. Easy to create our custom goals and track against the user traffic, it doesn't really require any major training. And, we are utilizing the Google Analytics for both our Mobile (through Google Tag Manager) and Web application through Google 360 Suite. The new Ga4F property helps to visualize both the Mobile and Web in the same dashboard instead utilizing the different containers set for the product needs. Data visualization and extraction is easier and also customizable to through the reports.

Cons

The time to update the data in the events section needs improvements, even we refresh the dataset or report multiple times it is taking a differentiable amount of time to update the data in the behavior section. Sharing the custom reports across containers is required capability and also to create the unified reporting across platforms needs experts help if you are switched to GA4F

Pros

Best thing is that it's free and basically easy to set up initially. You don't need developer knowledge to use its basic features and you get a lot of value - understanding your audience and customer behavior. You DO need however some coding experience to use advanced features as tracking specific user actions on website, setting up goal funnels, implementing e-commerce tracking, cross-device tracking, using custom dimensions, etc. This however is well explained in Google analytics developer documentation. You can link to other Google products like Google Ads, Google Search console and Google optimize to get more data into Google analytics. Another helpful feature is the offline data import - which can help you import for ex. CRM information into Google analytics to help you make better analysis of conversions and customer behavior.

Cons

It really takes a lot of time to master and get the maximum of the tool. There are some limitations like data sampling in reports or other features which are missing in the free Google Analytics but you can get with the Premium (Google Analytics 360) - which is really costly. The free version also has a limited number of goals, custom dimensions, custom metrics you can set (20 of each).

I started using Google Analytics shortly after I began my own business online, and as we have grown our business and expanded the online market segments, it has become an essential tool for us to measure how we are doing. There are so many ways to drill down and understand the numbers and data that you will have access to when you use the tool that it will require some training to use the data effectively, but that effort to learn will be well worth it to your company. It has been for our company. We use Google Analytics on every website that we operate and we consider it an essential piece of our SEO program. It is not hard to set up, and it is the interpretation of the data that you gather that helps you squeeze the best performance from your content and websites.

Cons

Nothing to dislike, it is a good tool and platform for any business to use these days. It is free and it offers you access to data that will point you in a direction that will help you get more traffic, leads, and sales. You can't ask much more than that!

We appreciate that we have Google Analytics when we need it (though I don't find myself accessing it that often). It's most effective when someone on your team is well versed in reading analytics and can help the team pull the numbers they're looking for and interpret what they mean. Sure, some people hate it - but let's face it, we can't live without it. It's the world we live in now.

Pros

Let's face it - the world runs on data. Numbers often drive our business decisions, so analytics are a must. We have to know what's working or not working in the digital space. I appreciate that Google offers one of the most robust platforms for looking at our analytics, and it has more information than I would ever need to know - or could possibly understand. You can log in from anywhere, have different access levels for different sites, and (most often) find exactly the number you're looking for. It's a software we can't live without, even though I consistently find myself hating it (more on that later).

Cons

Analytics feel like the kind of thing everyone needs access to, but no one really knows how to understand. You practically need another degree just to decipher the menu titles and field descriptions. Even if you do know what you're looking at, it doesn't mean you know what it means. Is that spike in traffic because someone linked to you, or because you visited your own website 100 times that day? There's a lot you need to understand about analytics before you get into the dashboard to take a look. It's definitely not for casual users, and can be a frustrating experience for people when they start out. You can usually find what you need, but it might take you longer than you think.
