It scales very well from a small blog to sites with hundreds of thousands of visitors per day. Pros If you have a website or an app, Google Analytics is a must to record and analyze the traffic. It's very easy to install as you only have to copy a script, and you're all set. What I like the most is that it is easy enough to allow anyone to analyze website/app traffic, yet it's also quite complex if you want to use advance features (i.e. ecommerce tracking, funelling, goals, etc). Best of all it's free for most users (except those that receive lots of traffic). Cons Every now and then they change the interface forcing you to have to learn again where things are. This means that you can track a sales funnel, and measure conversion from the landing point to the conversion point (with final money amounts if you provide that). You can track more than visits if you use some javascript, like events (clicking a button, a link…) and so. This info is also reflected on the real time view, so you can combine both to track the health of the website in real time. Cons It has a deep learning curve, but Google offers online training so it shouldn’t be a problem. First, you must embed the code into your website so that Google is able to track everything. This is very easy to do and there is plenty of help on doing this. With Google Analytics you can see exactly how many people come to your website, what browser, device, demographics, age, etc. Having all of these analytics for your website allows you to see if your marketing is working or if you are attracting the right type of people to your site. I have never used any other analytic software other than this and so it is hard to compare this to others. I can't imagine anybody else can tough Google Analytics. It will also tell you how long people spend on average on a page, what pages they go to next, and your bounce rate. Try this out and you won't be dissapointed. Cons I have never needed customer support but I imagine it isn't the easiest to get ahold of. Like I said though I can't speak from experience and only going by what I've heard.
