I think it is an important tool to use if you are creating content. Pros I use buzzsumo to do research before blogging. I like how you can see the most popular articles or posts and what platforms they are performing the best on. Cons It is a little pricing, but I am happy with the features and usability of buzzsumo. Accurate results. Very helpful searching for users. Pros The platform's ease-of-use. I't's incredibly easy and accurate when searching for influencers for brands and campaigns. Gives super insightful information about the influencers as well as competitors. Cons You can only see the first 10 or so results at a time before you max out on the free version. The pro features are really worthy of trying. They have pretty nice graphs and most importantly, the quality of data collected is pretty authenticated. They offer 7-day free trial for the BuzzSumo pro now. It was 14 days if I am correct. Cons Again, I don't like the price for the pro feature. Pros Lately, I've been really interested in the ability the software provides to look at who backlinks to a specific article. Great for identifying possible candidates for backlink reach out, if you have an article similar to the highly backlinked article. Also, the question analyzer tools are really cool. The search functionality lets you then discover a multitude of insights that pertains to the topic you're seeking information on. Cons The price point is very high for the limited functionality. I think there should be a "lite" (lighter) version that what's available in the product line. Pros The monitoring functionality seems strong and it's probably the most authoritative of the many sources I need to check every day. The question analyzer is also super useful for finding unaddressed but potentially valuable search queries. Cons There are tons of paywalls for additional features if you're on the basic plan. So much so that the basic plan restrictions of BuzzSumo turns it into purely just a content inspiration tool. And the current price is too high if the only thing you're using BuzzSumo for is inspiration. In short, you can't really find search opportunities or analyze trends if you're on the basic plan. Might as well make it more expensive and deliver a good tool rather than annoy me with a bunch of paywalls. It's one of the easiest ways to see the most popular content around a specific topic and to gage whether or not your content ideas are likely to take off. The metrics are clear and exactly what you need to research a topic in depth. Cons Some features aren't as good as other tools. I would never use the backlink analyser, for example.
