If I could justify the costs or started to work with accounts with more broad amounts of content available I feel as if BuzzSumo could make life a bit easier but for the price it is not completely worth it for me.

Pros

Buzzsumo is good for looking at content for a wide variety of topics and is most useful for bigger niches. It can help add value into your content calendar and research backlinks easily.

Cons

If you are on a smaller budget, Buzzsumo can be a bit out of the price range. I would love to be able to use it more but find it hard to justify the price especially with a smaller niche where I couldn't find a lot of content. The free version does not really add much value so I do not use Buzzsumo very often for this reason.

Great experience until now. A must-use platform if you want to do topic research for trending topics.

Pros

Easy to use with simple and straight forward feature tabs. Self-explanatory. Good trending topics for research and industry analysis.

Cons

It would be nice if there is an option to differentiate between news related topics and general topics.

Buzz Sumo is an awesome tool for content research based on social share. we can easily sort content based on many parameters my most favorite is word count.

Pros

Fresh content, easy sorting, domain filter is new and Monitoring tab is good for SEO guys.

Cons

only last 5 years content is visible, no LinkedIn engagement

Pros

We're using it to research Amazon content and writers. The interface and information are well thought. The Trending Now section can also be used for 'lateral' content writing.

Cons

The daily search limit they have for the free version. Just kidding, they're tools are great and are worth paying for.

Relative to other tools, it can be more expensive as an additional monthly cost. Occasionally glitchy.

I like that it is fairly simple to use and the interface highlights the key elements you're searching for.

Cons

The limited results, and the geo filters. Living in Canada I want to see how articles performed with Canadian usership, not necessarily that they were published on .ca domains.

Keeping a finger on the pulse of buzzworthy content. It's definitely a useful tool to research which types of content gain social traction.

Cons

The price seemed a little high to me. I've found that focusing on writing high quality content and being diligent about keyword research has been more effective as far as creating the kind of content I want for my website.

I've been using it sporadically, probably once every 2-3 weeks. That's also a reason that every time I use it I need to revisit the idea if it's really worth to may monthly subscription for the whole package since I'm only using a fracture of the service.

Pros

1\. notifications when your keywords are mentioned online 2. ability to search for articles for specific keywords popular last week, last month, or last two weeks, etc.

Cons

The price. This software has probably a lot of features but I use only a fracture of it and I don't need to use any other feauters so would prefer to pay less only for the features that I use (which is two features mentioned above).
