One of the best introductions to cad modelling for 3D printing on the market. Pros Very easy and intuitive user interface - the dialogue box prompts and active/suggested tutorials are particularly useful. Can quickly produce print ready models. Cons It is a shame the product seems limited in terms of parametric modelling (does not have the ability to wrap a mesh around a complex object - or perhaps I haven't discovered this yet as only on day 5 of the trial period). Online tutorials are great for producing simple objects but am unable at this stage to find more complex modelling techniques/strategies for jewelry design/complex and more complex parametric shapes. Appreciate this software is not attempting to actively compete with Moi3D or Rhino, but a little more functionality would go a long way. Pros The user interface is easy to understand and the features in the free version are great for the occasional need to have a 3D representation of a basic sketch. The speed of rendering and the ease of changing dimensions as well as adding text are plusses that help in presentation.
