Support by phone is slow and often unable to resolve issues. Pros The payment process is automated. Payments can be accepted on site, or parents can pay from their home computers or smart phones. Cons Recent changes by Tuition Express require additional work by office staff to post batches, which was not required in the past. In addition since October 2025 there have been numerous errors and delays in processing payments. Also the rates (overall costs) are much too high for the service received. Many families appreciate the ease of use and email receipts. Pros We like how simple it is to set up , track and collect payment from parents. Clients can use a credit card by swiping it at the front desk, or can pay online with credit card or directly from their checking or savings account. It provides a print-out for on-sit users and sends an email to online users. An automatic withdrawal can easily be programed for client who provide account information that is not stored onsite. Cons Some people are reluctant to use automatic withdrawals from their accounts. It does charge clients a small fee for credit card use, but any system does that. It is easy for all our new families to learn and navigate. Pros I love how easy it is for parents to pay their bill online. It is also very quick to come to our account and if one payment bounces it sends an email letting me know and the parent. Cons I wish that it would automatically charge the parents the fee that we assess to there account. It allows us to easily track payments for our parents. Pros I like all that this program allows me to keep track of in our childcare facility. Cons Sometimes when first setting up a program I need extra help in the step-by-step process of entering the information to make sure it runs smoothly once in operation. If they had someone to actually walk me through this process while actually entering in our information it would be helpful. Pros Because it works with the procare desktop program we've used forever, we can completely customize the billing formulas. Cons 1\. In order for it to auto-charge credit card fees, the parents can't pay through the app but have to login online. 2. only one login at tuition express.com per school? WHAT? More than one of us works on the billing. Their solution? Give the other person my login info. How is that secure? 3. The Tuition Express button on the desktop version is not the same as tuitionexpress.com and doesn't do the same stuff (and neither is the same as the billing button on the online version!). 4. Getting set up involved 3 separate training meetings to go over different features, but they were all with the SAME person! (Who it turned out didn't know what he was doing-- half the time I was telling him what to click on!) Parents can see charges and receive updates in real time, making it more likely to keep up with their account. Cons Parents cannot make a payment unless there is a charge. If someone has a $0 balance, they cannot prepay more money until a new charge is put in.
