Pros I love the ease and ability to have our clients pay their invoices to us online and how secure it is. Cons The fees! Pros The analytics and how easy it was for clients abroad to make payment using this software. Cons Few times, the payment took awhile before it was deposited into the company account and sometimes the charges stung. Pros Ease of use, integration with Practice Panther for invoices to pay on site or online. Cons I never could get Lawpay or Practice Panther to resolve the issue of choosing between multiple accounts to receive payments. Each said it was the other's problem. I suspect it was a Practice Panther software issue, but they should have resolved it between them since it was advertised to work that way. Pros What we like the most about LawPay is the ease of use for the clients. They can set up reoccurring payments, they can pay their bill monthly - very client friendly. Cons There really have not been any cons thus far. The only downside is sometimes client place funds in the wrong account. Everything is taken care of and transparent when the software is set up, and it takes no time to learn and use. What really makes LawPay superior though is their customer service. Anytime I have a question or want to know how to do something, all I do is call the customer service number and immediately I am connected to a live person in the U.S. who knows where I'm calling from after I give them my name. I never have to wait on hold or answer questions that are as confusing as LSAT logic questions just to get an answer to my question. Also, the person I speak with, even if it's a different one each time, is always able to give me a quick answer or provide an easy to understand explanation. Pros It is easy to learn and use and the customer service is second to none. I eventually left LawPay for Gravity because I needed a simpler, more cost effective product. Gravity's customer service is much better. Pros It was easy to use. It integrated with MyCase and Docketwise very well. Cons The monthly service fees, the rates, and the inconsistent withdrawal of fees Review Source GR Gene R. Cons It takes 3-4 days for money to appear on my bank account. Should be almost automatic. Reason for choosing 8am LawPay Recommended by other attorneys. Pros The ease of setting up this product and the ease of use is second to none. The added bonus is that the associated service fee makes sure that we don't have to spend any more money than is necessary to facilitate a transaction. Cons There is really not a whole lot to complain about concerning this product. At first, the user interface was a little tricky to figure out; however, once they updated the software, it cured all problems. We were using lawpay before, but did not have it linked to our account so we were still having to enter everything into cosmolex. Now when they pay through the link, it processes and pays the invoice automatically! Pros I love how easily this works with cosmolex. The integration is perfect and makes billing almost effortless for me. Pros The customer service is great. They are super responsive and quickly take care of things. The program is easy to use for me and the clients. I also like that they have CLE hours and their Coffee with LawPay to show how to use features of the program and answer questions the attorneys have. Cons I do not have anything that I dislike about it. I guess if I had to pick something, it would be that I have to call each time I need to make a bank account change. Cons I wish it would save the card information each time so you wouldn't have to input the information in again every time.
