Those payments are easily linked to their casefiles with the smokeball integration, which saves so much time and gives me peace of mind! Cons The fees are a bit pricey, but worth it. Pros LawPay allows me to accept credit card payments for my law practice and is one of the best values around for a practicing attorney who does not already take credit cards. Cons The e-Check service is hideously slow. Yes, you only pay a flat fee of $2.00 per item. However, it sometimes takes EIGHT business days for a check to clear -- and this is through ACH. Most people use debit/credit cards and this software has enabled us to accept payments this way. Pros The ability to swipe the client's card and also that it is linked to our TimeSolv Legal Billing and they are able to look at their bill and pay online. Pros I didn't accept credit cards before getting LawPay, and I've found it to be simple, safe, and easy to use. Cons I don't really like the fees, but I suppose there's no getting around them. This means that I don't have to manually enter data from the card processor to Clio. In the past, when I would forget to do this, my books would be unbalanced and I would have to go searching for the what I forgot to enter. Saves me time with I balance my books. Pros It is easy to use and intuitive. It seamlessly links with Clio, and keeps me from having to track and enter additional data. Cons It is a bit more expensive than other credit card processing systems I've used in the past. It also isn't as quick to pay as other processing systems I've used before. Pros Law Pay is an excellent. Using law pay, law firms are able to get paid faster. Most of the clients have credit cards which they would prefer using instead of sending out checks. Cons Nothing.
