Overall My Studio is amazing and a NECESSARY for my business to run smoothly.

Pros

I own an art studio and needed an easy waybfor costumers to sign up. After calling and searching 9 different software companies I finally found MyStudio. This software is just what I needed because it's easy to use (once you play around wih the settings). They also have instructional videos to help you. Their chat is also very helpful. This software is also very affordable for me. It is well worth the money because I don't have to manually charge anyone or save their info. This software gives me automated costumer payments for my memberships and workshops. The app, as a costumer, is also easy to navigate and purchase. MyStudio business insight gives me information on how much money a certain class or workshop is bringing in. Overall, this is what I needed for my business to run smoothly. \[sensitive content hidden\] helped me navigate the system when I first looked into it and answered all my questions. This is an actual person and not a robot chat.

Cons

I would like yo be able to send invoices regarding my business and quotes via email but haven’t figured out how to that as well as square.

Pros

Today’s presentation was fun and felt like the new software implementations were up to date. Many of my past challenges have been now fixed or answered.

Cons

At this time I did feel disappointed. I enjoyed meeting \[sensitive content hidden\] & many other team members that genuinely appeared happy to help in any way possible.

Have used my studio two separate times in the past 6 years and have left for other softwares each time because they just don’t have the functions to help run the businesss and lack in important areas

Initially the simplicity of the software and the layout of the system

Cons

There constantly seems to be bugs or glitches to work out, it costs extra to send emails and texts using the software, you aren’t able to sign up more than one user at once unless you pay extra, the attendance aspect is minimal at best and doesn’t provide details about students

Since the new support plan, I feel more confident in operating the application and I feel that it is worth what I am paying for!!

Pros

MyStudio has been a great tool for my school, but the best upgrade by far is the new support team. What I love most is that I can schedule a live meeting with a real expert. I get one-on-one training, clear answers, and step-by-step help on how to use the app to its fullest. That kind of support makes a big difference when you’re running a business and don’t have time to guess. I also really appreciate having a personal representative I can reach out to anytime I have questions. My representative is patient, professional, and always responds to my emails quickly. I never feel rushed or ignored. This level of support shows MyStudio truly cares about helping their clients succeed, not just selling software. Because of that, I feel confident using the app and growing with it. Highly recommended.

Cons

I believe it is fix now, have your own support representative and the ability to schedule a group training, is what I needed

For my personal needs since I have a one-on-one personal training studio and I have classes as well and I'm looking to expand the system works well for me. Setting up programs ahead of time has been bringing in Revenue keeping everything consistent. If I have to go off script there is tech support or a teacher to help me out

Pros

The instruction the process was done very well and every class was videoed I also got quick responses when I had a problem.

Cons

The pay processing is not right away like you see in Clover go or a point of sale. It does take a little bit getting used to automatic payments and setting up a system. They do have a point of sale but it's very rudimentary but I know they will improve.

Reason for choosing MyStudio

Century martial arts developed a product and taekwondo schools use it and they're very profitable.

There are a lot of work arounds for certain processes. I would also like to be able to send invoices for all types of revenue streams other than memberships.

I started when MyStudio was new so it had limited features compared to what was coming down the pipeline. I was a one-person show at the time and it was designed for exactly my needs but as I grew my team I found the needs not being met enough. I wanted a more robust online portal, and then COVID hit so everything shifted. I went back to MyStudio hoping the features I waited for became available after 3 years. Some were better, others were still in waiting. It was increasingly difficult to run detailed reports for my monthly needs so I moved on. I specifically did not renew my annual license but they charged me an entire year on my renewal date despite records showing they wouldn't. I spent four months trying to reconcile with them, which they finally did reverse the charge.

Pros

Simple, easy to track basic financials and growth. Best customer-facing app available. Customer service was awesome. Best event management in the business.

Cons

I started when MyStudio was new so it had limited features compared to what was coming down the pipeline. Great if you need less hands-on customer interaction but not so great if you like the more conventional business model of managing clients directly.

It was easy to learn and adapt to our Studio. We converted everyone over with in 1 month, and integrated with our website using "Frames". Super Easy!

Pros

Very helpful to manage my student base and the payments for my members. And allows for them to sign up for membership, classes, events, everything within the App 

Cons

The only thing it doesn't do for me s to integrate with my current Testing Sheet format and to keep a master list of my students testing ranks. We are just used to an old system in excel.

They are good people on their way to making a great product. I just can't use every part of the system. Big promises with slow delivery on the software.

Pros

Affordable. Easy online customer management and billing. They were just starting out and so was I, so it was a good fit.

Cons

The attendance tracking, email, and SMS communication tools tracking software are basic and need more development to work. The scheduling software user interface is just ugly and unusable. I am currently paying for mailchimp, acuity scheduling, and taking attendance manually to get the job done right. The custom links for online registrations often come up as 404 not found. I'm now at a point where I can easily move to another CMS and enjoy more developed software if the price is right.

Overall I would highly recommend Mystudio to anyone running a martial arts studio. The value they offer far outweighs any cost to use it.

Pros

Mystudio makes it easy for my members to do just about everything they need. It makes things like selling membership, events, retail and communication simple by having everything kept under one program. With it I don't need a lot of extra employees.

Cons

The team at Mystudio tends to release features that haven't been fully developed. I appreciate them wanting to get new things out but having to deal with the bugs or missing aspects of the feature can be very frustrating at times.

### "My Experience with MyStudio for my very first business"

I enjoyed my time with MyStudio and I know there are some issues but for the most part, I'm happy with the product and plan to renew for next year.

Pros

I love the customer service, with all my dumb questions they are always patient with me and get to the bottom of issues. The format is super nice as administrator, for client management, automatic payments, the trigger for late payments, email us (how its also sent to other emails so I don't miss it), the website template, and billing schedule, the cash flow, and many more features I can't list at the moment. I can't imagine running my business without it.

Cons

Updates - I would like more notice of any updates to the software, like via text or email. This notice is to double-check the client's accounts to confirm the payment is correct. For the website template, I would like the option to run google ads but it requires coding which the website template does not provide. IF MyStudio can fix that issue that would be great! The processing fees, I think the rate is too high and MyStudio should look into another payment processing service because I found way cheaper options but they were not compatible with MyStudio at the time. Events/Product Links - When we were selling digital products or any products through the MyStudio, when we shared the link it came up "suspicious, spammy, and malicious" to customers that deferred them away from purchasing. Which was very frustrating as a business owner. The only thing I don't understand is why my other coaches and students claimed that they don't like MyStudio or use it and I'm not sure why. I've asked them but there are no notes about anything they can change. This is frustrating because I enjoy MyStudio.

I was going with ZenPlanner but I heard it was too glitchy, more expensive, and not that useful compared to MyStudio. My Mom manages a martial arts studio and recommended me this service because she said it offered all the needs I needed for my business.

The customer service at myStudio has been great, they can't always fix the things I want, but they always try really hard to! They are very responsive and good at keeping me in the loop on bug and feature requests I put in. I always feel like my opinion on requests is valued and that they are a company eager to learn from their customers.

Pros

I used to have everyone write me a check, give me cash, Venmo me, etc every month. Even when that was only 5 students or so in my early days, it was always such a hassle to collect on time from everyone. I now have over 50 students and I'm still growing, and I couldn't imagine trying to keep track of the logistics for so many people without myStudio. With myStudio, signing up is a breeze, students are automatically transferred from trial rates to full membership rates after a month, retail purchases are easy and self service, and we can even keep all our curriculum readily at hand for them to help practice from the app at home.

Cons

I still think the back end could use several improvements, that I am eagerly awaiting. I'd love to see the all program members view let me customize which columns it display for my participants. I'd also love some sort of integration between myStudio and Wix which I use for our monthly newsletter.

I've used several studio CRMs - MindBody, ZenPlanner, etc - and they are all, in their own way, awful. MyStudio was recommended to me by a friend, who sold the benefits in terms of clients being able to enroll themselves for memberships, and use a member app to check in. But the self-enrolment benefits are offset by accounting and reporting problems, and a lack of flexibility in membership and product types. The software probably works well for high-throughput karate and TKD dojos, and is likely geared toward them. We stay with it for now because there is nothing obviously better out there, and the hassle of switching back to MindBody, etc, would be more than it is worth.

Pros

MyStudio saves me such a lot of time. I used to go through with new preliminaries to such an extent. I expected to plan them to come in and go over all alternatives and pursue the participation. It was to such an extent. Presently, it does everything consequently after I set up all messages and data clients need to have to be a part. All customers can utilize their cell phones to enroll or think about the program through the application. It is so natural to utilize anyplace any place they go.

Cons

Was somewhat hard to on-board understudies, however was most likely because of my comprehension of the product.

Great so far. It was vital to have it during the pandemic.

Pros

I like the attendance feature the most. During the pandemic we had to get rid of "attendance cards". No everyone gets checked in with very little issues. I also like the event and membership registration capabilities.

Cons

Glitches occasionally. One time I couldn't check anyones attendance for 3 days straight. Also loading time takes way to long even though we have fast internet. Email cpabilities are very basic. I would like more synching with mail chimp. They feel like a billing company, but they are not. We have to do a lot of money chasing when a client doesn't pay.

Overall - this is the best software we have ever used and they keep coming up with more updates and upgrades.

Pros

Integration was SEAMLESS! This has always been the most difficult in using a new software but MS makes it easy. You can customize memberships and events to your liking so it is very flexible as well.

Cons

I am not very tech savvy so for me some things are not self-explanatory just by logging in but I believe it is because of the advanced options of this software. If i'm every unsure, I just reach out to the Customer Service team and they answer all of my questions!

It was a simple software for recurring memberships and selling products

There was not alot of automations at the time, no profile pictures, no real ways to help us stay on top of the process of a prospect to along time member...

MyStudio is fantastic! If you have an issue or suggestion, they listen. They simply respond. Many features are evolving, and taken together they make a great experience for the school owner and customers. Highly recommended.

Pros

Customer payment automation removes the burden of chasing money. And the customer has so much control over how and when to spend.

Cons

(My school is extremely small so I don't think I have a great feel for the minuses.) I've recently taken advantage of their website feature. It's a great idea but has a way to go. There's no visitor statistics reporting so you're blind as to what pages were visited, which page the visitor left the site, etc. There's not a way yet to add content to help traffic. Also, the email system implementation has the issue of the sent emails' return address being useless, not your school's email address. So, one can't simply reply to the email and reach the school.
