### "MyStudio - Great all in one solution"

Overall, I really enjoy MyStudio. Many tasks were a manual process and now we have a great automated solution. It is a great way to stay in touch with members and give them a tool to access the information they need as well.

Pros

I like the ease of being able to do business outside the gym. I still feel connected to the business while I am away and can get new members signed up.

Cons

I really cannot think of a con but if I am being picky, I will say I feel navigating through can feel like a lot of clicks sometimes. It could be streamlined better for easier use but overall I have no complaints.

### "Switching to MyStudio was a time and life saver"

I no longer have to be in my dojo outside of business hours during sales if people want to come in on a day to purchase camps or gear. It is all done through the app and I don't need to be at the desk processing payments, members can do it right through their app or through the tablet at the front of the dojo.

Pros

I love how simple this software is easy to use. Our members love it too! Everyone can purchase what they want at any hour of the day or night. I do not need to send out links or reminders now to purchase camps, they know where to look right away now. We have removed our front desk now and all waivers and information is done on the software. It has made our lives easier and removed the need for extra staff, now our instructors can focus on the students and not chasing money or spending a long time learning how to use this software. It is simple to use and I love how it's constantly evolving. It really has saved me time that I can now spend elsewhere!

Cons

I would like to see something to issue receipts for the year or easy invoices.

### "Game Changer"

My studio was a game changer for our 21-year-old business. We have tried many software programs over the years, and really enjoyed our last one and the simplicity of it, but it struggled in the bookkeeping department. I was spending too much time every weekend trying to get the proper numbers to our CPA. This company turned my emotionally stressed weekends into a FREE weekend to enjoy life as they have all the numbers done for you. It is now simple to give to my CPA. Bonus: The students really enjoy the simplicity of the app and access to all events for planning purposes. The simplicity has allowed us to grow with less effort on our part in filling our events. Overall, I am so grateful and blessed that I found this program.

Pros

I love the analytics, so I can see at all times where my company is at with ease. I also like the simple sign up process for members and non members. Our events fill up quicker and we are blessed with many non members that come to our events to try our program with my studio software.

Cons

There are some things that is not easy to adjust in the software, but I know the product is getting better each year. Sometimes learning some of the opportunities that it offers, can be challenging, but once you learn how to do them you have another growth opportunity.

Spark is made by the same guy who created Rainmaker, using much of the same platform and tools you can find in Rainmaker. We were rather looking for faster, simpler and new platform that would be fully mobile and better suited for the future. MyStudio fulfilled this need perfectly.

Doesn’t have mobile capability or app for customers. Doesn’t offer to pass credit card fees to customers. Rainmaker’s former glory is long gone.

### "MyStudio has SAVED our studio"

Overall exerience is: It SAVED our studio during COVID. They treat you like a person not a number and make things individualized and TRULY care about their customers. They truly get to know you and your needs and WANT to see you succeed.

Pros

MyStudio has made the enrollment process a simple click of a few buttons. The app is so user friendly that ALL parents/students can use. There isn't any hidden surprises or fees or anything... the buyer feels comfortable in what they are enrolling in and what the prices are. What used to jam up our studio enrolling people took an extra employee dedicated to it and at least an hour every night to do so. NOW I don't have to have the extra employee and I can concentrate on instruction of students without distratction.

Cons

Sometimes I don't like that things are ever changing and developing and I have to learn the "new" way to do it, but honestly..... it's just me not the software. MyStudio simply changes things because they are ever improving and LISTENING to their customer and the needs and wishes.

### "My Experience with MyStudio for my very first business"

I enjoyed my time with MyStudio and I know there are some issues but for the most part, I'm happy with the product and plan to renew for next year.

Pros

I love the customer service, with all my dumb questions they are always patient with me and get to the bottom of issues. The format is super nice as administrator, for client management, automatic payments, the trigger for late payments, email us (how its also sent to other emails so I don't miss it), the website template, and billing schedule, the cash flow, and many more features I can't list at the moment. I can't imagine running my business without it.

Cons

Updates - I would like more notice of any updates to the software, like via text or email. This notice is to double-check the client's accounts to confirm the payment is correct. For the website template, I would like the option to run google ads but it requires coding which the website template does not provide. IF MyStudio can fix that issue that would be great! The processing fees, I think the rate is too high and MyStudio should look into another payment processing service because I found way cheaper options but they were not compatible with MyStudio at the time. Events/Product Links - When we were selling digital products or any products through the MyStudio, when we shared the link it came up "suspicious, spammy, and malicious" to customers that deferred them away from purchasing. Which was very frustrating as a business owner. The only thing I don't understand is why my other coaches and students claimed that they don't like MyStudio or use it and I'm not sure why. I've asked them but there are no notes about anything they can change. This is frustrating because I enjoy MyStudio.

I was going with ZenPlanner but I heard it was too glitchy, more expensive, and not that useful compared to MyStudio. My Mom manages a martial arts studio and recommended me this service because she said it offered all the needs I needed for my business.

I’m very happy to switch over from Zen Planner which was feature rich but overly complicated and had a dated and clunky user interface. The best part of MyStudio is that I can copy paste links for enrollment and retail purchase links into texts to my customers, they love it, we love it!

Pros

MyStudio has a clean and modern web based interface. There is a minimal buttons to learn while providing all the features necessary for martial arts enrollment management.

Cons

I would prefer the ability to speak directly to support or correspond via email as opposed to chat. I haven’t figured out if there are tutorial videos to learn about features that I am not yet familiar with such as automations and the CRM. We are currently using Market Muscles integrated (provides website opt in lead information)with Go High Level as our CRM… I would be interested in using MyStudio as my CRM but I need the capability to schedule and track appointments for new students and automated lead nurturing… the way I have it setup now, the website directs the prospect to a google calendar appointments page (provides by Go High Level) where they can schedule their own first free class

Keeps client info safe and easy to access for staff. App has been great for having clients register for ongoing classes and programs. It has also helped with keeping accurate attendance which helps us with retention, we know exactly which students we need to reach out to and get them back in classes.

Pros

Software is easy and intuitive to use. Customer service is always available to support and answer questions. All of my staff can use which keeps things running smoothly.

Cons

It would be great if Apple or Google pay was an option. It would also be great if we could add clients in and charge a drop in rather than having them download app etc. We sometimes get out of town visitors and they just want to walk in and pay and not have to go through downloading app, setup etc.

In regards to your desire to be able to have people pay without downloading an app -- you can absolutely do that now :) Everything you sell has a unique URL that you can just text/email to someone - no app needed! You can find those URLs in each respective module in your control panel. You can also charge drop ins, sign people up right at the Point of Sale. You seem to be an upstart company with well-intentioned staff in positions they may not have the expertise to fulfill but do have the desire. You would do yourselves thousands of favors if you had an "install" team that travelled to your clients and completed an initial set-up process.

Pros

Frankly, this is the first software management we have used at our school. Previously, we did everything by hand, spreadsheet and through our bank. We do not have other product experience for comparison in this industry. Having said that, we like having the ability to communicate with our students, manage banking and payments and the ability to set up retail sales through the app.

Cons

The software is not organized in a fashion that is intuitive to me or my staff. There are too many clicks and prompts to get through in order to complete a simple task. An example is that in order to communicate with the entire student body, you cannot use the communications tab. You are forced to use the "All Customers" tab. This is counterintuitive. There, as far as we know, is no method for "fulfilling" multiple retail orders simultaneously. There are more but you get the point.

My overall experience with MyStudio has been great. We started with a basic version and within a couple of months upgraded to the personal version so we had our on app. This platform is great from the using the dashboard on the computer or the business app on my teams tablets or phones. We can be at an event away form our business and still sign members up in real time.

Pros

What I like most about MyStudio is that it allows for my entire team to be flexible and we can pivot quickly no matter what the circumstance. They allow for us to stay in constant communication with our members.

Cons

What I like least about the software is waiting on some of the updates, but the good thing is they are constantly updating and innovating the platform to make it better. They are a young company but are making great progress.

The customer service at myStudio has been great, they can't always fix the things I want, but they always try really hard to! They are very responsive and good at keeping me in the loop on bug and feature requests I put in. I always feel like my opinion on requests is valued and that they are a company eager to learn from their customers.

Pros

I used to have everyone write me a check, give me cash, Venmo me, etc every month. Even when that was only 5 students or so in my early days, it was always such a hassle to collect on time from everyone. I now have over 50 students and I'm still growing, and I couldn't imagine trying to keep track of the logistics for so many people without myStudio. With myStudio, signing up is a breeze, students are automatically transferred from trial rates to full membership rates after a month, retail purchases are easy and self service, and we can even keep all our curriculum readily at hand for them to help practice from the app at home.

Cons

I still think the back end could use several improvements, that I am eagerly awaiting. I'd love to see the all program members view let me customize which columns it display for my participants. I'd also love some sort of integration between myStudio and Wix which I use for our monthly newsletter.

Pros

Ease of online sign ups for summer camp along with ability choose weeks and payment plan. Curriculum section for members, easy access for members to all events

Cons

Lack of “registration fee” or “sign up fee” on events with multiple dates- such as summer camp.

Changed the amount of time I would normally spend in the off almost nothing.

Pros

I love how I can send a link to potential customer to be ready to get on the mat as soon as they come in. Then, when they are ready to sign up, its all in the app. Direct interface for the parent/guardian with the studio.

Cons

The back button, checking out events for an individual student. Takes you to the main member screen and have to filter again.

I don't have anything else to think about switching other software but keeping MyStudio. MyStudio offers everything that I need for my business.

Pros

Mystudio has been so helpful ever since we decided to use it. Especially, managing trials and memberships has been so much easier such as enrolling memberships, and following trials with automated emails and text. over 90% of our membership has been through customers' phones using MyStudio App. No more Paper!!!

Cons

MyStudio has been great most time. MySutio has lots of tools to customize what you need for your business. I feel like I use 10% of what MyStudio offers...

Pros

"Feels like family. Real live chat help and people to answer phone. NOT outsourced to another country. People understand my problems and treat me with respect and walk me through solutions. Always listening to me and always improving not just me but themselves as well! LOVE! MyStudio truly does want your business to succeed. Family from another mother and I'm grateful."

Cons

Sometimes we have questions and the chat and/or email response takes longer than customer (in the moment troubleshoot) can wait and/or I have to get back on mats and can't get the problem solved right away.

I've used several studio CRMs - MindBody, ZenPlanner, etc - and they are all, in their own way, awful. MyStudio was recommended to me by a friend, who sold the benefits in terms of clients being able to enroll themselves for memberships, and use a member app to check in. But the self-enrolment benefits are offset by accounting and reporting problems, and a lack of flexibility in membership and product types. The software probably works well for high-throughput karate and TKD dojos, and is likely geared toward them. We stay with it for now because there is nothing obviously better out there, and the hassle of switching back to MindBody, etc, would be more than it is worth.

Pros

MyStudio saves me such a lot of time. I used to go through with new preliminaries to such an extent. I expected to plan them to come in and go over all alternatives and pursue the participation. It was to such an extent. Presently, it does everything consequently after I set up all messages and data clients need to have to be a part. All customers can utilize their cell phones to enroll or think about the program through the application. It is so natural to utilize anyplace any place they go.

Cons

Was somewhat hard to on-board understudies, however was most likely because of my comprehension of the product.

Overall it is good for the price. We went with them because they were the cheapest at the time.

Pros

Easy to set up automatic billing, easy to charge a card on file. Keeps up with student info easily.

Cons

It is set up to where the customer does everything. We want to make everything as easy as possible for our customer so we want to handle everything for them. We had to figure out how to do that with MyStudio.

Great so far. It was vital to have it during the pandemic.

Pros

I like the attendance feature the most. During the pandemic we had to get rid of "attendance cards". No everyone gets checked in with very little issues. I also like the event and membership registration capabilities.

Cons

Glitches occasionally. One time I couldn't check anyones attendance for 3 days straight. Also loading time takes way to long even though we have fast internet. Email cpabilities are very basic. I would like more synching with mail chimp. They feel like a billing company, but they are not. We have to do a lot of money chasing when a client doesn't pay.

Overall I am satisfied with this program. There are still sections of the app that I am not happy with, however, the parts that are beneficial outweigh them. I would recommend it to other school owners with the warning that you will need to put aside plenty of time to set it up.

Pros

I like that this software is a "one-stop shop". I am able to chat with students, on-board new members, process tuition automatically, and upload curriculum. My favorite part of the app is the ability to have students purchase programs, events, and merchandise without a live staff member assisting them.

Cons

I did not like the labor-intensive set-up process. While I'm proficient in tech, the back-end requirements needed to get started were frustrating and overwhelming. I also don't like that the customer service team treats me like a novice after setting up and using the program for over three years. While I appreciate that they approach users in a standardized way, it wastes my time when I have a higher level question. Finally, I do not like the multi-step check-out process. It's a barrier to sales and can get frustrating to work through.

Overall, without MyStudio, our business would not have survived the pandemic. The ability to enroll members and customers with a url and from the comfort of their own home is unmatched.

Pros

The ease of use and ability to check payments, enroll members all on your mobile device. App features allow for members to easily access their own profile, and make payments, enroll in events and more! Professional, simple, and makes managing a business so much easier.

Cons

Because of the streamlined service and main focus on providing simplicity to a business and members, certain features are not available. However, they are always upgrading their product. Would also like to have a credit card swipe feature

### "A Martial Arts Must"

At 1st I wasn't impressed as I used the lowest tier. After upgrading and using the website creator things started taking off. With the upgrades they have been updating it seems to have made things way easier. I love it and will use it for the upcoming schools we will open.

Pros

I 've been working with this system for a while and tall the software I used before, it's way more user friendly and the price point is way better than those like rainmaker. The integrations are just what any dojo owner needs to make things easier and streamline.

Cons

There are a lot of features so it took a while to navigate and understand where things where. But it seems like they are always working on improving the work flow for customers.
