It helps us with large projects as well as those small projects we do once in a while. Their support is wonderful, they always respond and solve our issues right away, which is usually our fault from not learning it enough. I purchased it through and ACT consultant and he provides first level support and always takes out call. It has a library for project phases so you can reuse them. It also has a task library. this allows you to quickly build out your phases. There is a Goal library. Once a Goal or Goals are selected, the Task library allows for the quick selection of additional tasks to meet the goal. You can also pull tasks in from a similar project. People can be assigned from a Resource Library. then tasks assigned to the resource. An Obstacle Library can be built. Must project managers would call this a Risk Library. If there are any tasks that might help mitigate the obstacle/risk, they can be selected from the Task library. Once this is all done, the next step is to assign your resources. this is a simple as highlighting the task and then clicking on the resource or resources. We are almost done. Now a screen to review of the tasks and assignments appears. You can make adjustments here and add notes. Finally, the last screen is the Gantt chart, the schedule. If you are the only one needing the tool, you are done. Now you can use Project KickStart to manage the project. However, if your organization uses Microsoft Project, then Project KisckStart allows you to export to MS Project. Now you can use the full capabilities of MS Project after Project KickStart allowed you to save time creating the project schedule. Project KickStart also exports to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MindManager, Milestones Professional and WBS Chart.
