My overall experience with Lawmatics has been a positive one. In the beginning, it was a bit frustrating to use coming from Clio, but after just a few weeks I was a pro. I could never see myself going back.

Pros

I do love how easy it is to use once you've got the hang of it. It is so easy to navigate and find what you need, further streamlining the work process. I do also enjoy how well it tracks emails, phone calls, and text messages.

Cons

My only complaint would be the difficulty that is associated with setting up certain automations. It is very time consuming, and I feel that there may be a better way to get those tasks done.

### "Why bother?"

Lawmatics bills itself as the lawyer's answer to Infusionsoft. It may work for a very small firm that doesn't know what Infusionsoft is (or Hubspot, or Zoho, or Salesforce,...) but the more we use it, the more we regret it. It's one more example of legaltech taking lawyers for a ride and providing worst-in-class service that would never be tolerated from other industries.

Pros

Friendly onboarding, and the site is slick so impresses the non-tech employees (when it's working). The pipeline is a good visual indicator of where things are. The activity log on a case, especially the "last contact" data is key to client relations. The one good thing that it has that Clio Grow didn't when we switched is the ability to follow the law on emails. You can set an email as promotional and have an unsubscribe.

Cons

It feels like a beta project from one developer and a few contractors who don't talk to each other. Much like Clio, it promises many things, but if you dig too deeply, you find out that the features are half-baked at best. They rolled out billing with a payment plan, but the invoice sent to clients on a plan is confusing and doesn't ask for the amount due now. It's for the entire amount!They rolled out time-based tasks (which should be table stakes for a sales pipeline), but you can't automate adding a task due in a few hours, only 1 day or more. Automations which should be easy are impossible because of the simplistic way that the automations have been implemented. (Why can't I add a tag based on a picklist?)We've had constant issues with email being sent multiple times or being sent hours late, and their response is that it's a Microsoft problem. Microsoft's logs don't support that. Speaking of -- there's no Teams or PowerAutomate support.

There is a slight learning curve when dealing with a piece of software like this, but compared to similar software, it is easy to learn.

Automatically saves files from emails. One streamlined chronological tab of activity so that I can see what is being done as soon as I open a case file, even if the email was to a different firm member.

Cons

Can't connect to after-pay or similar apps. Can't create a report showing trust fund requests that are sent out. I have to check back manually.

Excellent, but the price could come down a bit. I've enjoyed all of the other features and see Lawmatics as essential to my business currently.

Pros

I like its Practice Management features and it ease of use. I also enjoy its built in automation capabilities.

Cons

I dont like the lack of ability to customize and save layouts as well as the e-signing and billing features. There needs to be some improvements with those.

Overall it has been excellent and the team are a pleasure to deal with. After searching for many years to find a suitable CRM/Practice Management tool, I am glad to say we are nw settled with Lawmatics and won't be leaving!

Pros

The automations are great and give multiple options based on different entry conditions. At the same time it is fairly simple to set up a complex automation compared to other products we had demo's with. The layout is very intuitive and visually appealing. Everything has been thought out carefully and the design is simple and attractive and is not cluttered like many other CRM's we saw. Immigration practices are usually very lead heavy so having a system which funnels clients effectively through to booking an appointment and then onto conversion is a huge benefit to our organization. Additionally, the robust form feature enables us to gather all important information regarding a client's eligibility for a visa is a streamlined manner. The task feature is of great benefit as we can now generate a automated set of tasks and send out forms and retainers automatically according to the matter type. Overall the system has helped us to save several hours each week by automating monotonous repetitive tasks and enables us to focus on the practice of law.

Cons

As this is a fairly new product there are a few features which need further development such as the Appointment Booking feature. It would be great if this could be on par with Acuity for example. The system could also benefit from additional native integrations with payment processors other than LawPay. However, the team have made numerous improvements and are very responsive to feature requests. The \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and his team have a proven track record in the legal CRM and Case Management field and are very driven and passionate about helping their clients to grow their firms.

It has been great overall; still learning the system.

Pros

The CRM is built specifically for the legal industry. The options to create a streamlined intake process, which allows leads to be convert to hired clients. The automation process allows for firms to save valuable time and effort for redundant tasks.

Cons

The system is robust; there is a learning curve with implementation of documents/assets/forms. The support staff is incredible, and the Lawmatics University is a great resource to learn the system, but it takes time to build out and customize the platform for individual firms.

Very easy to use, database of contacts is very helpful and easy to manuever. Reporting is very helpful to our firm in managing our client needs.

Cons

Billing is a new feature and can use a few improvements for ease of use. I have suggested a few enhancements to support such as adding check number as an option when recording check payments.

You really need to know how to use and understand this product if you want to work smoothly and efficiently. Thankfully they provide you with an onboarding specialist that walks you through everything and answers all of your questions.

I’ve learned a lot using Lawmatics! It’s a powerful tool that’s helped streamline our processes, but I’d love to see more flexibility and customization options in the future.

Pros

I like that everything is in one place, from automations to reports, it really keeps our marketing and client management organized. Their customer support team is great, they’re responsive, friendly, and always willing to help, even if sometimes their hands are a little tied by system limitations.

Cons

I wish it were a bit more customizable. It's easy to use, but it would be great to send emails to multiple audiences without having to create new campaigns, and to be able to view and edit audiences more easily.

Overall, I do love Lawmatics. Just wish they expanded on the Lead Management and concentrated on that rather than trying to be come a one stop shop for law firms. Feels like all the energy has left the development of enhancements and future of the lead management portion.

Pros

The automations are great! I love that they can be event-triggered, and that now you can have templates. It saves us time, and each potential client gets everything automatically once they are set up. The integration with Call Rail means they are already there, just need to update with some info and start the process of sending a questionnaire to get the rest of the information. And it integrates with Clio as well. It's as close as we can get to a true single entry system, which makes us much more efficient and reduces the chances for errors.

Cons

I like LEAST that we cannot add attorneys that do not have a user id with Lawmatics. I am not paying for attorneys to have a user id just so I can assign cases to them. And they will never log into Lawmatics. So why can't I add staff that does not need access to Lawmatics without paying for them to have full access? Also hate that they stopped concentrating on being a good lead management system and decided to compete with the other CMS systems out there. What ever happened to being the BEST at something and continually improving THAT? From Lawmatics to Adobe to Zoom - everyone has a full suite. I don't always want or need yet another full suite. Be the best at what you do - stop trying to be like everyone else. That isn't what made Lawmatics great. What made it great was that it was NOT like all the rest.

It is a powerful software but can be cumbersome to manage. I find it somewhat frustrating to get support, especially with complicated customization.

Pros

Lawmatics is incredibly flexible, allowing a law firm to set up emails, text messages, and other automations to nurture and support prospective clients. I like that people can schedule consultations without direct assistance, and pay their consultation fee.

Cons

It can be a struggle to learn, and to make automations that truly work well. We had a third party vendor set ours up but it never really worked as we want it to. Trying to modify what they did to fix the issues always seem to generate more problems.

Overall for me, Lawmatics delivers great value, offers excellent customer support, and remains one of the most user-friendly and comprehensive platforms we’ve used.

Pros

I really like that almost everything you need is already built into Lawmatics. It’s an all-in-one platform that combines your CRM, custom forms, email, tasks, marketing ROI tracking, time and billing, and a fully customizable dashboard. It’s very user-friendly since you can manage and monitor everything in one place. Unlike other platforms, data migration is also quick and seamless. I also appreciate their excellent customer support, the team is highly responsive and addresses questions promptly.

Cons

Although the dashboard is customizable, some features are only available on the original dashboard. This can be disappointing because it forces you to rely on the default view instead of your custom setup, as switching between dashboards can be inconvenient. Another drawback is with email management, I noticed that when I delete a photo from Lawmatics, it also disappears from previously sent emails, which can be frustrating and potentially affect the professionalism of past communications.

It's been a wonderful experience, largely because my professional skills match well with the Lawmatics tool. It's not an easy system to learn and it's easy to make mistakes that your end-customer will see, but it's extremely powerful and has been the backbone of our very successful business growth this year. The Support team is fantastic, too. They have 2x/day open calls, an AI agent that's getting pretty good, and live chat support. The people are very knowledgeable, friendly and get stuff done quickly.

Pros

A true end-user configurable solution with tremendous flexibility to develop your unique business workflows without coding.

Cons

It's difficult to do exhaustive tests because there is not test environment or blue/green production environment. You can build complex automations that include triggers/events that are time-based (ex. 1hr after meeting ends or 4hrs before event starts) and action-based (ex. status change). These are not always easy to test, but once you enable the automation, it is live. This makes you think really hard before you enable an automation that is external (like an email to a customer based on attending or not attending an event or appointment).

Organizes our intakes so that we know exactly what stage of the initial process they are in and who I need to follow up with as well. Potential clients can upload files easily so that if they become clients we have all of their submitted documents right there in one place.

Cons

I can't really think of anything that I don't like about Lawmatics. Every feature helps with my every day job.
