GroundTruth is a great product and platform for digital advertising. There are a variety of uses for this exchange, and it helps us stay above the curve in digital products. There a ton of great features used to set us aside from our competitors.

Pros

There are a large variety of features that make GroundTruth stand out from the rest. We are able to use many types of targeting, such as Behavioral Categories, Demographics, Geo-Fencing and Retargeting, etc. Our clients love being able to track visits to their locations and Geo-fence their competitors.

Cons

Some features that could be updated are the creative design. It would be helpful to do bulk changes and uploads, rather than needing to individually make changes. However, we have expressed our concerns to the team and they are very open to working on these changes for us.

Wonderful! Nothing but a positive experience!

Pros

GroundTruth is a great platform for geofencing! It is easy and straight forward to use and has been a very powerful tool for my clients to increase their reach, traffic and sales. The entire GroundTruth team is very attentive, helpful and very quick to resolve any questions or concerns. We are not even a very big client of theirs, but with the exceptional customer service we have received, you would think we were a multi-million dollar company. I cannot recommend GroundTruth enough!

Cons

I do wish they had a structured training guide and/or self lead videos to watch to become a master in geofencing. Instead of having just one off videos here and there to learn about certain topics. It would be a nice business credential to be able to say we had completed a master GroundTruth training course making us certified, like Google and Facebook offer.

Overall, a useful tool that we use a lot in our marketing plan.

Pros

Since we are two times removed from the customers in the supply chain GroundTruth helps us to convince consumers to get our product once they are in store.

Cons

I think there could be more done with data reporting. A customer journey reporting would ideal. Other metrics that would help are frequency, touch heat map (depending on where the ad shows up how do people interact with it).

Overall GroundTruth is a great and easy to use platform for digital advertising with fairly comprehensive coverage using different strategies.

Pros

Easy to use and clean UI. Setting up campaigns is simple and straightforward.

Cons

Sometimes I find it difficult to find the right audiences, especially for B2B campaigns. It would be good to know what domains are winning bids like other DSPs. CPM for display at $3.5 is high compared to other DSPs which allow lower bids. Audiences are very limited in Canada making some CA campaigns hard to scale.

10/10 - can't say enough about performance and quality of support from the team.

Pros

I love the reps we work with. They are knowledgeable and able to give us the best recommendations at all times. GT's ability to accurately drive foot traffic and measure it top notch. We have seen incredible increases in foot traffic since we began working with GT and every year we find that we are putting more and more of our budget into their platform. There is no minimums required and they find a way to perform at the highest level even with small budgets

Cons

Only thing I don't like is that we are not able to have deep insight into their audience sources.

Reason for choosing GroundTruth

We honestly don't have any products similar to GT that we consider when media planning for a campaign the requires driving foot traffic and location-based audiences

I've worked with GT for over 4 years, and they have always been super helpful. Our clients love their performance, and overall, it's a great company.

Pros

I like that their system is easy to use, and user-friendly, the performance is great, and overall they are very helpful.

Cons

CPM is a little higher than what we are used to. But overall the performance is good.

Reason for choosing GroundTruth

because of their performance results -- they have always out performed our other vendors.

Overall, GT is a good platform with great customer service

Pros

The DSP is easy to navigate and use, visit tracking is useful to our clients and is a major draw. Campaign set up is straightforward and customer service is helpful when issues do arise.

Cons

The site is often laggy and slow; the creative system could be improved - we have been asking for bulk creative capabilities more advanced than what the creative repository offers (select ads and apply the same click through URL, pause/remove/resume multiple ads at once, etc). When we do have to update creative, it often freezes or takes a while to complete. The recent removal of many audience targeting categories has been a little tough for us, but being able to have old categories manually added is very helpful.

### "We Have Recommend GroundTruth Many Times"

It's awesome to have a self-serve geo-fencing option. Previously, the only way to do this was to hire a media group, which because of the high cost of management and high-bounce rate of this type of advertising it wasn't really worth it for us before GroundTruth. We love having GroundTruth at our fingertips. We can decide to launch a campaign in the morning and have it up running in the afternoon. If we decide to change creative or targets, we don't have to wait for days for an outside group to get to it.

Pros

I can get a highly targeted campaign up and going pretty quickly. There are no minimum spends, which is great for using for small campaigns like an Open House ad that only runs for a few days. We have used it to target 1-day events to capture that event audience. You can target right down to a street address, that is powerful targeting that you can't get elsewhere. You can build an audience for targeting after they leave the fenced area.

Cons

Geo-Fencing campaigns are exclusively mobile and suffer a painfully high bounce rate. Not sure there is much improvement that can be done to improve the bounce rate on the geo-fenced ads, but I haven't found the remarketing ads to the audiences to have a much better bounce-rate. I recently saw they added desktop advertising, but when I built an ad recently it wasn't an option, I hope that improves the bounce-rate of these ads.

The GroundTruth team feels like an extension to our own team, offering solid product & targeting recommendations to us on a regular basis. They are such a valuable resource for us when determining where to allocate our budget, how to reach our intended audience, how to interpret & analyze results, etc. Shout-out to Emily, Brittany, and Jaclyn for their support.

Cons

Not a con per-say, but when there are several options for selecting targeting criteria and we're not sure how to allocate the right support, it's helpful to have recommendations that are direct so the possibilities aren't too open ended.

I love working with GroundTruth - their platform is constantly being updated and stays competitive with new features they add. They also listen to feedback well, and release new features based on that feedback.

Pros

The visit tracking feature on campaigns is coveted by our clients, and is a metric we can trust based on their third party location verification.

Cons

Some features are lacking, particularly in the creative setup like bulk uploads of creatives with landing pages and dynamic info, as well as video hosting.

Overall GroundTruth is the best self-serve platform I use. The customer service is great and always extremely helpful.

Pros

The ease of setup as well as not worrying about a campaign meeting their impression goals. All of my campaigns serve fine when up and running and my clients don't typically have any pressing concerns.

Cons

The Creative Page section in the ad sets can be a little buggy at times. Creative updates can take a bit of time since we have to update within each line item, opposed to other self-serve platforms we use which allows us to update creative at the campaign level.

Good! I am able to launch full campaigns with detailed targeting within 20 minutes. As I continue to explore and use the program I am confident that the time it takes to launch campaigns will decrease as well.

Pros

I have never launched digital ads before outside of Google and FB so needless to say I was a little nervous. Groundtruth was very easy to use and helped me understand what was required and what needed to be done.

Cons

I do wish the interface was a little more appealing to the eye but that is surface level. It does everything else that I require at this time.

### "Best self serve programmatic advertising tool out there"

Super happy.

Pros

I haven't found any other programmatic self serve tool on the market that works as well as this. You can login and setup a campaign and it's running the next day.

Cons

Mass upload. Their excel sheets are terrible to use and it's impossible to upload bulk locations into this campaign. It can take 5 business days to setup a 200 point campaign because the mass upload isn't good.

Starting to work with more clients on targeted Advertising and geofencing. The platform is simple to use, guides you through the process and has excellent reporting features.

Pros

Ease of use. Simple but effective interface. Was relatively new to the geofencing arena but this platform make sit easy to set up your own campaigns and control the bidding and spend.

Cons

Nothing so far after using the tool for about six months. The documentation on reporting could be a little clearer but otherwise this is an excellent vehicle to execute your strategy.
